Cathe & P90X: Cathe is pretty X-treme too!!!

I don't eat the egg whites in the morning either, because I just don't have time to prepare them. I usually make an omelette and have them for dinner. I'll do my carbs for breakfast - oatmeal or high fibre cereal.

You don't have to follow their nutrition plan to get good results with P90X. I do think that some type of recovery drink post-workout is a good idea. I looked at their drink, then found something that had about the same breakdown of macronutrients (protein/fat/carbs). Just happened to be chocolate soy milk.

If you feel you need to eat extra protein, hemp protein, or extra servings of lentils or other beans, or a yellow pea protein, or pea-and-rice, or hemp-based smoothie will do the trick. Hemp is especially good, because it's a type of protein that is easily assimilated.

But you will be eating extra food for muscle building,so by sticking to the same percentage of calories from protein--15-20%, you'll actually be getting more protein automatically).

Thank you again everyone for all the wonderful suggestions!!!!

I am on Day 3 and I have to stay that Cathe's weight training is just as hard and intense as P90X. I did the Shoulders and Arms today and found it just as challenging. A little awkward because the moves are different.

So I see what P90X is doing. They are taking the traditional moves and making them different to cause that muscle confusion they talk about.

Thanks to Cathe I can do P90X.

:)

For all of you who did it P90X My question is: I consider myself an advance exerciser, (5 to 6 days a week, .40 mn to 1 hour, weights, cardio, running) Lately I been doing a lot of weights and I can see results on my arms.Should I buy P90 or the P90X? Does the workouts on this series are 6 or 5 days a week? The diet is very hard to follow, like don't eat bread or pasta, etc. Thank you

If you are already exercising 5-6 days a week for about an hour, then P90X is a good program for you! Most of the workouts run about an hour plus Ab ripper which is about 16 minutes. The longest workout is YogaX, but even that one you can split into 2 parts.

The diet is pretty easy to follow, they give you the portions & you can mix & match as you like. Email me if you have any more questions! [email protected]
