Cathe - Can we see more pics on the blog?

I found this site a while back from fittv and lurk, but I had to post after reading this. What is all the hostility about? All the poster did was ask for more photos, it is a blog you know. I have one and it does take time to keep it up, but I thought it was all about apeasing the customer, not jumping on them? You seem to be really upset about nothing. And it does not seem like the poster is bullying anyone, but you on the other hand???? JMHO

To move this back to more friendly territory...
I am so excited!!! Excited for all the changes and updates that are planned for the website, excited for the clips :) , and excited for THE NEW WORKOUTS!!!! It has been such a long road for Cathe, crew, and fans, but the finish line is just ahead, what an exciting time!! I love getting new, exciting things; but it's also a lot of fun waiting for them, knowing they are on the way.
I want to thank Cathe and all those who work with her, you have all done such an amazing job staying the course through trying times, and keeping us all hooked into what's been going on.
Thank you for the workouts that are coming in a few weeks (maybe longer), for the workouts that I already have (!!) and for the workouts of the future.
And a Cathe calendar would really be the icing on the cake (yes, cake as a metaphor for exercise dvd's)!!!!
Happy Sunday everyone, enjoy the week ahead!!(especially those who have tomorrow off!!)

Well said Laura...I second every sentiment! I think Cathe and crew have done an amazing job keeping us informed and whetting our insatiable appetites for new workouts. I also find it truly incredible that Cathe has remained so accessable during the whole process. Kudos all around!

Take care,

Wendi

Taken from the first post from SNM re. The Blog...

"Once we have filmed the new workouts we will add tons of pictures and video clips from the four workouts."

Where are the video clips?

Michele

I think they're saying that Chi-Town is using multiple monikers to try to stir up trouble or something. If that is the case, Chi-Town and all her/his monikers should be disabled immediately.

This is a common problem on many message boards I've posted to.

NOTE: If Cathe had to "police" every thread, question, and/or negative comment, she'd never have time to make more workout videos. We definitely don't want that! Someone in her position MUST have a representative/spokesperson take on such duties whenever possible. It's what every smart Executive who's running his or her own business SHOULD do. Those who are business savvy know this already.

I will continue to patiently wait for news of when the DVDs will be shipped. I don't need a bunch more pictures to keep me excited about it! And for what it matters, I was exceptionally pleased with how well the blog kept me informed of all the events leading up to this point. It's unfortunate that everyone can't be happy, but oh well! :-(

Posters may be confused about the role of the blog since in the past SNM used to post approx 15-20 photos of each new workout to be released, and these were readily available to browse here on Cathe's website before the DVDs were released to us.

Since this was available in the past, I really do not think SNM or its advocates can complain that Cathe supporters are asking for too much. A precedence has been set!

Personally I do not care if photos are made available or not, but I do not think that any one individual deserves to be blasted for suggesting that it would be nice to see some more.

I have been a lurker here hor a coupled of years and I am very confused by the current level of angst/drama, etc. i'm not really sure what is expected. cathe pretty much has set the gold standard as far as releasing fitness DVDs. she has given us an update as to the breakdowns of eachh DVD. She has told us what music she is focusing on. There seems to be a segment of the population that thinks Cathe should be all things to every body. That is not realistic. I will probably get trashed for this BUT I do not care.

We assure you nobody is being blasted for asking to see more pictures. If you view our response to the original question it was nothing but kind. However, continuing to be rude to us and more importantly fellow forum members is a violation of our rules. Chi-Town's response to Jordan was at the very least inappropriate and a violation of our Forum rules. If this was the only infraction by Chi-Town we certainly would not have reacted in the way we did, but it is not. We would have preferred to handle this matter privately by email, but Chi-Town’s email address is not valid. This is also a violation of our Forum rules.

Julid - don't worry about getting trashed. At least not from me.

And try not to be confused or surprised by the drama/angst. Something of this sort always seems to occur before each of Cathe's new releases. I, for one, try to ignore it and simply wait for the workouts to arrive!!!

And before everyone trashes me, YES I know that SNM is a business, and YES I know that part of their job is to try to please the customer, but they are only human and can only do so much. Right now they are working on a calendar (to please their customers) and I'm sure they're readying themselves for the task of packaging the DVDs once they arrive to ship them out as quickly as possible (again, to please the customer). And let's not forget - Chris, Cathe, and everyone at SNM has feelings. As do all of the forum members. Can we please be conscious of that and try to be a little kinder?

While I agree with the 1st part of your post - even though I miss the Blog there's not much for them to report now, I felt compelled to respond to the total rudeness and combatitive tone of the 2nd half!

Plus, it's not been "a few months longer" - I preordered over 1 year ago! I am NOT complaining, I realize the majority of the delay was due to Cathe's injury - so please don't blast me - I am simply pointing out that fact that it's been a long journey.

Why can't a person politely voice their opinion/concern about SNM w/o others getting so defensive and personal?

>The blog was meant as a way to keep people up to date while
>the dvds were being made. They are being duplicated now, so
>there is not that much to say. I always feel that some people
>always want more and more, and have nothing better to do than
>complain about trivial and petty things. To be honest, I
>actually think that Cathe and her company have gone above and
>beyond what I would expect to keep everyone happy. So you had
>to wait a few extra months for the workouts - big deal. All I
>have to say to the complainers is this: GET A LIFE!!!
