I'm just curious because I always look forward to my strength training but have to force myself to do the cardio.

For me, I like strength training. I need the muscles more than I need the cardio, and I love the challenge of pushing myself with weights.

Definitely lifting for me. As far as I'm concerned cardio is just a necessary evil. }( It's the weight training that makes it fun.

Nancy I'm like you!!:D But the last few months I have been pushing myself to do more cardio, and ya know I am starting to like it:7

I defiinately enjoy strength training more than cardio, but have been getting more into lately. I really like IMAX3 and KM sooo much. Cardio is where I lack, so I'm doing Cathe's fat loss rotation.

Nothing should be jiggling, unless it's jiggling off. - Cathe in HSC

I definately have more fun doing cardio then strength training but I do both as I know it's neccessary....

ETA: When I first started working out a few years ago, I preferred weights/toning over cardio COMPLETELY! Do you know when this started to change for me? After I quit smoking! I find that to be pretty cool-gives me yet another reason NOT to go back!:)

Have a great work out!

In my twenties and early thirties, I was a total cardio bunny. These days, my satisfaction comes from lifting those weights and watching the poundage go up.

Weird!

I put both equally well. Seems like I get more of the endorphins after cardio, and sometimes it's hard to get up the energy to start leg deg. But once you it kicks in, it kicks in. :)

course, when I was heavy, I didn't like cardio so much....no wonder!

I like them equally well. Sometimes I'm more in the mood for one over the other. One thing I like better about cardio is not having to lug all my equipment out.

I feel lucky (as I'm sure most of you do) that I like working out so much.

I like them equally. Sometimes I have to force myself to do a certain workout because it is so hard, I love those workouts but yet again I hate them. Right now I feel that way about IMAX 3, yet I look forward to IMAX 2. Evenutally I will love IMAX 3 too.

I prefer cardio but like low weight high rep strength work.
I really like workouts that combine both. But overall, I prefer cardio.

I highly prefer cardio over weight training, but only because I feel I get a better workout with cardio....must be all the sweat that drips into my eyes to remind my my heart is pumping.

HOWEVER, since I got my new HRM, I am looking at my strength workouts in a whole new light. I burn just as much calories doing a lower body weight workout as I do cardio (about 60 minutes worth). I couldn't believe it the first time I saw the numbers, but it's pretty consistent.

Now, I am starting to equal out on my opinion.

Very interesting. I thought I would be in the minority, but I was wrong. :)

I think for me it's because I can SEE the results of my weight training in more sculpted muscles, but I just do the cardio to keep my heart and lungs healthy. There are no results that I can see with my eyes. I do feel better after cardio but there's nothing like that feeling of accomplishment when you can feel with your hand a little bump developing where there once was flatness. :)

Before I found Cathe it was cardio Big time, then it was strength training all the way, now that I've found Cathe I like both equally }( }( . Although at times I get confused with her choreography and my face gets x( , but then I just rewind start again and my face is }(.

I really do enjoy both, but some days feel more like cardio and some days more like weight training. Just depends..... No matter what, once I get started, I usually enjoy it no matter what it is.:)
