Cardio Coach Vol. 8.....how'd you do?

I have only done 1 and I can see where you could make it as hard as you want but I didnt feel it was long enough. I havent tried any of the others yet. I was debating on buying 8 but dont know if I want to spend that much on it. Have there been any new itreads released yet?
 
well, I was able to download it last night so I did this for my workout last night - elliptical.

I just did this workout this morning. OMG, I loved it! Sean outdid himself with this workout. I hate hills and I had a blast with this workout. My favorite is challenge 2 with the two - 8 minute treks. I did well and I'm not a long distance runner. Sprints have always been my favorite. I cannot wait to do this one again.

Challenge #3 is very fun as well. Damn, now I can't wait for #9 to be released!!! :)
 
I did this this morning as well. HOLY CRAP!!! I have to say that Challenge #2 is my LEAST favorite. 8 minutes is just forever! But I loved it when it was over!!

I didn't think I was going to make it on that last 1 minute/level 4 hill at the end. I kept saying to myself "it's only 1 minute"!!

TOTALLY ROCKS!!:7
 
Jane,

I use Vols 1 to 3 for a shorter cardio after weights or before yoga. You can make them short and very intense by using aggressive settings. I am ultra-flexible at yoga after blasting my way through 2 (any cardio actiually but I love 2).

I use Vol 1 on days when I dont feel like pushing too hard. 2 and 3 work very well as advanced shorter workouts too.

I hit the hills today and had a kick ass time with Coach Sean. The music was awesome! I can really dig this one!!!


I did Volume 6 the other day and loved the bumpin' optional challenge music...it was kinda like IMAX 2 where you think about how you'd like to call it day but dang it, you gotta hang in there if only for some classic Rupert Holmes remake...."If you like peeee-na colada!" :7 :7
 
WOW is all I can say. The music was awesome and Coach Sean's motivational words got me through those 2 long hill climbs. I love beach themes, even though I live in a land locked state now, I grew up surrounded by water in FL so it transported me back to the beaches although they don't have as big of hills in FL as I climbed :) Did anyone see the pink flag I planted at the top of the hill? :D I saw it from the beach while I was stretching and looked up proudly at it waving in the breeze. :p Thanks everyone for getting me hooked on these CC workouts. My college son loves them too and he appreciates the music as he is a real music geek.

I FINALLY did it!!! And, in 82* weather! I feel sooo good. I loved every challenge. I even thought the two 8-minute challenges were awesome. I liked how they used the non-frenzied music (as Coach Sean discribed it) for the 2nd. challenge. The music made me feel calm but kept me going. The cooldown stretch was very different and I loved the foot-to-inner-thigh stretch. Another huge hit for CC! And, guess what Coach did this week? He heard I was leaving for FLA. to visit my sisters so he sent them both 2 CC's! How GREAT is that? He does ROCK!!! Okay, off to wash floors and pack!

Have a wonderful time in Florida with your sisters! You sooooooo deserve a break. Debbie, I've been so worried about you with all you've had on your plate. ;-)

If you and your sisters do a CC group workout I hope you'll do us the favor of posting pictures. It was so kind of Coach Sean to send workouts to them. Thank you so much for sharing this generous side of his character. :)
 
Today was technically my rest day but ...... I was finally able to fit CCv8 and it was AWESOME!!!!!!

I love the ocean sounds and well the hills were great!

I have nothing but love for this one too, but then again I love all my CC's and the music! OMG the music ROCKED! Todd did fantastic to keep the music just where I needed it to be and I absolutely loved it in Challenge 2 where Coach Sean yells about '40 seconds get moving'!!! LOL

Now I know why this one got such great reviews ... I can't wait to do it again!
 
If I download the mp3 version can I burn it to a cd-r?

I gave my ipod to my son. I will eventually replace it, but I want to use my stereo.

What version do I buy?

Oh yes! I did that with the Press Play workout so I would have a backup. I have CD's of all my CC workouts.
 
Just finished this one for the second time this week. I think I'm in love with CC! What a phenomenal workout! :7 :7 :7
 
I did this on Saturday and it was great. I am only a walker so I didn't to any running on the hills but I kept going up and up and up. Got to 3.5mph on a 10% hill. I go by my perceived exertion as if I went by my heartrate I would be going very fast or up a good hill. I burned 660 calories or so my HRM said I did. The hour went by so quickly.

I may be the only one but I didn't care for the stretch segment at all. Didn't do anything for me, so I did my own stretching.

Awww thanks Michele! It has been a tough year but I am so looking forward to getting away & seeing them both. My nephew is graduating from HS so I get to attend his party too. I will try to get a pic of us doing CC together but not sure it will happen. They don't exercise and they cannot stand the heat down there. Maybe, I can talk them into a fast walk doing CC1 or CC2. I'll let you know how it goes. BTW, just walked in from doing CC8 AGAIN! I am just flying high because my knee is all healed and I can't begin to tell you how good it feels to run again. It was great to have have Sean all to myself while you all were here playing online! http://www.postsmile.net/img/19/1949.gif Ha! Okay, off to do some Cathe weight work and then, I need to find my house! It is totalled since I have been packing and visiting family before I take off tomorrow. I'll miss you all. I am hoping to be able to use my nephew's laptop to pop on & say Hi at least a couple times. Behave you all til I get back. Mama's orders!!!!!

I'm with Rhonda, I didn't do any running on this one, but it killed me! I made it into a good power walking workout and maintained 4.0 mph for the entire workout and went to 10% incline on all the hills. That was really tortuous (for me) on challenge 2. Though I'm not crazy about an all hill workout, this will be good to toss into the mix. And the music is awesome!!!!!!!!!
