Butts and guts versus gym style legs

If you have LIS and XTrain, I would say, don't bother. What you want is a variety of ways to train the legs. Gym Style legs is traditional with an excellent standing and floorwork section. Add to this the new way Cathe appears to be training legs --less heavy weight, more multi-planar movement with light or no weight or interspersing weights work with plyo-- and you have it all.

I have B&G and have never used it. It seems "samey" as you remarked.

Save your money for the ordering the new 7 workouts which feature 2 workouts for the lower body specifically.

I personally saw better results with B&G and really enjoy the workout. She uses light wts and more body wt exercises than in Gym Style Legs. There are also 2 ab workouts on B&G that I love. There are premixes as well with bonus footage. The music is fantastic! I personally think B&G is a must have! It is not the same as GS Legs.

I too love B&G! and it has my favorite warm up ever.
 
Gym style is heavier weights used in a more traditional lifting pattern (3 sets of 10 plus occasional low ends/pulses). The leg work with ball and band is great.

Butts & Gutts is lighter weight, higher reps and uses ball and is the first video Cathe did fire walkers in.

Both are excellent.
 
I just started working on my April rotation (mixing Gym Styles, Xtrain, and others) and I plan one week Xtrain Legs, next week Gym Styles Legs and the next week Butts & Gutts. Haven't decided week 4 yet. Really mixing up the various styles to keep my legs guessing.
 
I've been doing a similar rotation with XTRAIN and Gym style workouts. One week I did XTRAIN upper body for 2 days, but because I work my lower body twice a week, I also did both lower body workouts from XTRAIN. Now I am doing Gym style this week and since there is only 1 lower body, I will also do Butt and Gutts this week. I love this one more that Gym style.
