Morning Ladies,

We had a busy Saturday, but Sunday we stayed in our nice warm house after we got home from church. Saturday my workout was 10 Minute Solutions Knockout Body with weighted gloves. Nothing yesterday. ;)

This morning starts my last week of P90X weight workouts. Today was Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, and since this is my least favorite of all the workouts I'm glad I don't have to do this one again. I still have to do an ab workout after work, still have not decided which one yet.

Hope everyone didn't have to much snow to shovel, I know we didn't. Just can't stand this dang cold weather!

Have a great day!

Hi, sorry I have not been posting. Been very busy. I did 4 1/2 mile run on Sat. on the treadmill and today I did STS total body.

Laurie, Are you getting the new Jessica workout? We had 14 inches to shovel. It is freezing cold here too. I miss summer. I'll bet you will be happy to move onto something else after P90X.

Hope you are all well.

DS is busy with basketball. I have games Mon. Tue. Thurs. and Sat. tournaments. Still haven't finished my shopping. Been working 10 hour days and can't seem to find time to shop. We were snowed in on Sat. Couldn't get out of our driveway. Sun. I did get out but it was with some of my kids and I was taking things back and getting groceries. Christmas is coming quickly. Made a couple of cookies last night with the kids. Ate way to many.

Have a great day.

Hi Karen! Glad you are okay. I understand how busy things can get. Shoveling or plowing snow is definitely a workout. It was very cold here this weekend too. We got flurries only today.

Laurie----Enjoy your final week of P90x.

On Saturday I did 45 minutes on treadmill and Upper Body of High Reps...nothing on Sunday and this morning was Rhythmic Step.

I hope everyone is getting in all the Christmas shopping you have left.

Laurie - Yipee on the last week of P90X! What great timing that you finish up before things get really hectic with last minute shopping and other activities. I'm sure that's not by coincidence either. You put a lot of planning into your rotations.

Karen - I figured you were super busy. Didn't know you were working so many long hours though. That kind of stinks this time of year. Hopefully the craziness doesn't last much longer.

Heartymax - My arms felt so weak on Saturday after High Reps. She really works the upper body well.

Thursday and Friday both ended up being rest days. Just busy with Christmas and kid stuff. On Saturday I did High Reps. On Sunday I shoveled snow. Was planning to shovel more snow later that day but didn't have to. We didn't get the snow like Karen did. Only had a couple of inches at most but a layer of ice underneath. Made cookies instead of doing cardio like I should have. This morning I did 3 Leslie miles. We had our holiday potluck today so ate too much today already. Should skip dinner and workout but have a concert to attend. Back on the diet (or rather re-starting the diet) tomorrow. Such is life.

Hi all! Well, we sure got the snow! The driveway is still on half plowed! Saturday NO ONE was out...it was great! Except that I was sick again  Church was even canceled on Sun. So Sun i got in my STS total body...really like it.
And tonight got in intensity. Cathe really outdid herself on that one...it´s as it she took the blasts of IMAX and made those into the "regular" parts of the Imaxes and kicked the blasts up a couple notches!

Sue, you are doing well with your workouts and all your activities! I haven´t even started my baking :(

Karen, glad to "see" you! Figured you must´ve been busy. You work in your school, right? What´s with the 10 hour days?

Heartymax, Are you done with your shopping? Haven´t even started mine yet. What did I do before I could order on line?

Laurie, nice going on another P90X!

Hi Susan

Happy Cold Tuesday Morning to everyone! I crawled out my warm bed to do High Reps this morning for a great total body workout. Those one legged squats similated move with the sliding discs are a killer.

Sue----I don't do the warm up from high reps. I just do my own thing and stretch the arms as Cathe does in other workouts. I find using light weights for a warm up and then going into shoulders is very tiring especially since there is little to no rest between sets. The shoulder and tricep work is definitely a burner.

Lala--- You have officially made me scared of Intensity. I didn't purchase it. I can't begin think of the blasts being kicked up a notche. I have finished shopping for my family thanks to the internet. I still have a few more gifts to pick up and I will run out to do those early on Saturday morning before it gets crowded.

Susan, Karen and Laurie----I will check in later today to see how you are doing.

Hi,

Got up at 4:30 and did KPC.

Lala, I work in a preschool/daycare. The morning I work preschool and then go right into the daycare until 5 or 5:30. I am very thankful for a job and I love the people I work with. Church was canceled on Sun. here also. Don't you just love Intensity. It is a lot of fun.

Heartymax, You sure are getting good use out of the new workouts. I missed the tricep work in STS total body. Not a lot of it. Love Hi reps, but I think I still like MM more. My boys shoveled the snow. No workout there for me. My DH won't let me because he says the boys should do it.

Sue, nice job getting in the workouts. You can see I chose baking instead of working out. Are you liking the new workouts. Did you end up skipping dinner?

Susan, how are you faring with your running in this weather.

Laurie, keep warm.

Have a great day.

Morning Ladies,

Whew sure was dang cold this morning! Last night my ab workout was BBC Fat Blaster Abs. This morning I didn't want to do an Insanity workout, so my next favorite workout to pick was Jillian's BFBM! :D Love that workout when I'm not in the mood to actually get out of my warm bed.

Karen, Wow you sure have been busy, just glad to hear that all of you are doing well even though some extra cookies where eaten. Heck I'm going to be doing the same thing. I love cookies. :D Yes I'm planning on getting the new Jessica workout, even if it is just for the cardio portion. ;) I like her style.

heartymax, I still have Christmas shopping, but DH got one item done on-line last night. Our oldest just wants a new bed, so that is what we got her. Something she can have when she goes out on her own. I remember wishing I had some furniture when I got my first apartment. ;)

Lala, We still had church on Sunday, but the morning service didn't have all that many people. You could see a that all the elderly didn't want to drive in the slippery conditions.

Sue, Yes I did make sure that I was done with this rotation the week before Christmas. I actually had some help with that, a friend of mine started the before the holidays challenge. We have our Holiday Social this afternoon, so I'm sure that I will join you on the eating to much.

Have a wonderful day!

Hi Ladies! Sorry forgot to log on yesterday! Busy, busy! DS and DD both have Birthdays within the week so I am feeling a little over whelmed! This weekend I did High Reps and Sunday I did the elliptical and shoveled. Monday was Intensity! Today will be STS Total Body.

We got about 10" of snow. Man is it cold out there!!

Hope you all stay healthy and warm! I have to run to work but I hope to check back later!

Final episode of BL is tonight too!!!

Take care- Susan:D

Lala - I agree about Intensity - great workout! It feels like Cathe is having a lot of fun in this one.

Heartymax - Ya know I was thinking the same thing about the High Reps workout. I used a 25 pound bar which was okay for the squats and lunges but a little too heavy for shoulders and biceps in a warmup. Maybe I'll try what you did and do my own warmup.

Karen - No! I diddn't skip dinner. In fact, I went out for frozen custard after DS' concert and had a scoop of Twix Surprise. Today we have potluck leftovers but as long as I don't go back for 2nds I did okay. Good job getting up at 4:30 to do KPC.

Laurie - Did you hear that Jillian is quitting BL after the next season? I wonder if she'll continue to do workout dvds. BFBM and TZ are both great workouts.

Susan - You're doing really well fitting all your workouts in with everything you have going on. Don't know how you were able to shovel 10" and do the elliptical on the same day. I think I'd be wiped out after the shoveling. Watching BL Finale tonight. Go Ada!

This morning I did BL Cardio Max Level 1. I want to do Lower Body Blast tonight (cross my fingers). Otherwise I'll do it tomorrow morning.

Stay warm!

Good Morning,

Today I did not get up so I will try to get in Hi Reps tonight.

I was happy at the results on the BL last night. He is who I wanted to win.

Sue, is the lower body blast easier because you have been doing Tonique? Glad you got the twix custard. I love the maple pecan.

Susan, wish your DD and DS happy birthday from me. Are you celebrating them together or doing them separately? Are you doing just the new workouts in a rotation?

Laurie, I figured out on cardio days if I want to get up early I have to pick a fun and easier cardio workout or I won't get up. What kind of cookies do you make. Don't you like Jessica's weight work?

Hi Lala and Heartymax.

Hello! Today is Step Blast. Happy cause I love that one! STS TB was as good as ever yesterday. I just love that workout!

Karen, I am doing Cathe's December Rotation, she is using all her new ones and a few older ones too. It's a nice mix! It was hard for me to get out of bed this morning too! I got up, cranked up the heat and went back under the covers!

Have birthday and Christmas shopping to finish after school. Rush, rush!! I do attempt to celebrate both birthdays separately. They are having their parties during Christmas break, when life is less hectic.

Have a great day! Susan

Hi. Busy day yesterday, but did STS compound premix...very good, but can´t figure out which exercises work the bis. But a really nice premix.

Checked in with the Cathe app, but apparently can´t post.

Heartymax: don´t be afraid of Intensity...it´s a lot of fun!

Susan, we are doing the same rotation, and I agree..Step blast is fun! I really like the music and the danciness. Wow, December is a busy month for you!

Karen, hope you can get your HiReps in tonight...getting up at 4.30! Nice job! and I can see the day care work really can get into long days. But don´t you feel great and ready to go in the morning after a workout?

Sue, did you get in your LBB? Another good workout!

Hi Laurie!

Hi,

No workout yesterday but I did get up and do Hi Reps today. Again I guess I am a day behind. Oh well. Party for work tonight and then a basketball game.

Lala, sounds like a good premix except on her premixes this time it seems she forgot some body parts. I like getting in workouts early, makes me happier all day long.

Susan, gotta love Step Blast. Did that one not to long ago. Try not to stress and enjoy the birthdays.

Take care all.

Hello Buff Badgers! Today I woke early, bundled up and went for a 3.5 mile run. I must admit, I do not like having to run all bundled up! Much prefer the 50 degree temps! I am also scheduled to do Bootcamp cardio only today. I also have to bake DS's birthday treat to take to school and get my Christmas cards done...

Karen, I think at this hectic time of year, as long as we do something, those missed workouts are okay. If ya went the entire month without exercising, then it might hurt ya. I told myself at the start of the month if I only get 4-5 workouts in a week, that's okay. I don't need any more added stress one me! And neither do you!:D

Lala, I'll have to try that STS premix maybe next time. The exercise that she was using for bi's was probably bent over rows with under hand grip?

Hi Laurie!
Hi Heartymax!
Hi Sue!

Stay warm ladies! Susan

Happy Thursday everyone!

Susan--I totally agree with you. This is a very busy time of the year so I am happy with whatever I accomplish.

Today was a snow day....as they were expecting it to start in the mid-morning. I did PUB down only for a quick 30 minute workout. I thought about doing HiIT but changed my mind. I decided to quickly get dressed and go out to purchase the gifts for my kids teachers and do some other quick shopping. The stores open really early this time of the year so off I went.

Lala----I think I may end up purchasing Intensity....just not right now. I purchased CTX when it was on sale and have only done Leaner Legs and Kick Box. It was one of those must have purchases----at least I thought----You know what I mean. I am sure I will use it more in the coming months.

Hi Everyone and stay warm.

Back again! I just re-checked my rotation, I am supposed to do CTX Kickbox not Bootcamp today! Had my days messed up.

Heartymax, enjoy your snow day! How much are you supposed to get there? Good job getting that shopping done so early! :)

Take care! Susan

Morning Ladies,

Didn't work out yesterday, because I was having to be super Mom! Had to get the girls up for school, DH was in OH. And after work I just wasn't in the mood, so will just double up my Saturday workouts. This morning was my last P90X Back & Bicep workout for the year. Went up in some of the weights, and even managed to get my fingers caught between some weights. That hurt, couldn't even write my numbers down on the paper. :(

Susan, Birthdays and Christmas all rolled into December! That does make for some stress. I don't like to bundle up to go outdoors either. :(

Sue, I had heard that Jillian was leaving, and I hope that is because she is doing much better with her DVD sales. I would like for her to do another BFBM type workout.

Karen, Oh I don't mind Jessica's weight portions, I'm not sure how the full body workouts are going to work into my schedule in the future. I'm hoping that after my STS rotation I will get to try those Peak10 workouts. Maybe she will have all 10 of them out by that time. ;)

Lala, Will have to check out that compound premix.

heartymax, Oh yes you need to try out the weight portions of CTX, they are so good. Each muscle group is around 10 min. each, so you can combine them to make a good 3 or 4 day split routine.

Have a wonderful day!

Karen - I haven't done Tonique for a few weeks but I'm sure it helped. Still haven't done all of LBB yet so I'm sure that'll make a difference, too. Maple pecan sounds very good also. About the only flavor of frozen custard I don't care for is chocolate chip. I like chips in cookies better than ice cream. :) I think you're doing great fitting in your workouts. Every little bit counts and I'm sure you burn more calories at your job than I do sitting on my butt all day.

Lala - I'm curious about the STS Compound premix now. Compound means working multiple muscle groups at once, right?

Laurie - You ARE a Super Mom! ;) Ouch! on the fingers caught between the weights.

Susan - I really enjoy Step Blast and CTX Kickbox so you are doing some good, fun workouts. How do you run in the snow and ice? Do you wear something on the bottom of your shoes so you don't slip?

Heartymax - I agree with Laurie on those CTX weight segments being awesome. I should do them more often. Happy Snow Day!

Yesterday morning I did Lower Body Blast Timesaver - No Floorwork premix. Last night I did 3 Leslie miles from 5 Fat Burning Miles. This morning I did the Upper Body premix from STS Total Body. I'm planning on doing some cardio tonight. Was thinking of Intensity or HIIT but maybe I'll do part of Step Blast instead. Then again, I never did KPC over the weekend like I wanted. . .

Only 5 more working days until Holiday Shutdown! Even though I'm on call and have to go to work at least once, I'm really looking forward to the time off. We finally sold my Mom's house so I may be helping with cleaning and moving that week. We close January 10 so not a lot of time to get the house ready.

Good Morning and Happy Friday. :)

I did HIIT 30-30 last night and crunches on my own. This morning I did 2 10 min. segments on Exercise TV - one for leg toning and the other for abs.

I'll check back in later to see what everyone is up to.
