Body Max step size

I just ordered Body Max, hasn't arrived yet. I went to the sports store to buy a step bench, and they came in two sizes. (I'm talking about the platform itself, not height). Could someone give me a guideline for the dimensions that work with Body Max? Thank you so much!!

Hi Mary!

I am assuming you mean the length of the platform?? If so, I would say the longer the better especially if you decide to invest in any of Cathe's other vidoes. I had a shorter step to begin with and found it to be too short for some of the videos compared to the workout I could get on the longer length. Hope this helps! DebbieH

Buy the longer step bench. The short ones are just that! TOO SHORT. She uses the long bench.

Get the longer step. I had a short Jane Fonda step that just did not work well, it was too short. The great thing about Cathe is she uses the same step with all of her videos, so you won't need another one.

Step selection

Hi Mary-
I have the "Reebok" step. It is a great one. It is long, and also has the ability to be at 3 different heights, the third being fairly high. (Which is great, because you can put it on an incline for chest work when strength training) I think it is a little expensive, I bought mine about 5 years ago, and it was about 80 bucks. However it may have come down in price since then.
Watch for the deals, sometimes they will give you a video -free- with it.

The original StepCo step is 40 inches long...

And about 16 inches wide. It has two risers underneath each end to make it 4, 6 or 8 inches tall.

You can order the step online from Mercata.com (runs about $50-$60 no shipping & handling) or from bodypump.com ($69.95 includes S&H).

I found the original step at Big 5 ($70 on sale, $80 regular) and Copeland's Sports ($80).
