Body Max 2 and premixes??

Are any of the premixes harder than just running through body max 2 as is? I saw the scrambled eggs post and am wondering if thats harder or just different. And what's this bonus cardio...something different put into the premix? I just did the workout this morning and thought it was hard enough as it was.

I've only checked out the "Double upper body" premix (I always intend to do all of BMax2, but by the time I get to the upper body, I feel well worked out, so I do the double upper body premix the following day).

The bonus cardio segment (also on the Cardio Fusion DVD) isn't new choreography, like it is in LIC, but rather all the cardio segments strung together---no blasts. It's included in some of the premixes.

Hi Tina,

I've done the Scrambled Eggs premix and it was so much fun! I don't know if it's harder than BodyMax 2 with the weights and all that because it's hard to compare. I feel well worked out at the end of both of them. The Scrambled Eggs was great for a long cardio workout, since I had done a full body weight workout the day before. Eighty minutes of pure energy -- it was a sweat fest! ha.

Ok, I just finished the Scrambled Eggs premix, and I just did BM2 in it's entirety last week. I say that while BM2 on the whole is longer (took me over 100 mins to get through it all!), the Scrambled Eggs premix is much more intense. Very fun, though, and it will definitely increase your stamina and cardiovascular endurance :) The bonus cardio is the step combos (from the first 3rd of the workout) done straight through with no breakdown (similar to Rhythmic Step or Step Blast challenge). It's used in the Scrambled Eggs premix (twice, actually) right before the 4th power circuit since there are 4 power circuits and only 3 step combos. HTH!

Hi Tina,

I've used 4 of the BM2 premixes. I have only used them once each, so it is hard to tell what the lasting impressions will be. I'm sure the hectic holiday hussle & bussle paired with the placement in my rotation has somewhat influenced my experience. I don't know if I can make a fair comparison because I haven't used BM2 with the UB section. Here are my initial impressions rated from hardest (1) to easier (notice I didn't say easiest) (4).

Scrambled Eggs- well you read my post, WHEW! Definitley more of a challenge, for me, than BM2 (without UB). I think it was the sequencing of this premix. (1)

Cardio & Weights- Easier than Scrambled Eggs. I think it was also easier for me than BM2. (4)

Boot Camp- I liked this more than I thought I would. This one is a challenge, but for me, it was a bit easier than Scrambled Eggs. (2)

Timesaver Cardio- A nice shorter option. A little easier than BM2 without UB. (5)

BM2 (without UB)- (3) Hard to remember if this is 3 or 4 but I'll go with 3.

Time will tell how it all shakes out,
jordan

Good Morning....please tell me this, I am dying to do this cardio because of all the raves, but I am choreography challenged. I gave up on Rythmatic Step, and Step Blast. Is this easier than those to do?? I want to do it so bad, and then I chicken out because I am afraid I will stand there and can't get the steps!!
Lori

Body Max 2 is definitely easier than Rhythmic Step and Step Blast. You picked the hardest ones to do first. Body Max 2 has more moderate, athletic choreography (not as dancy). Rhythmic Step was my first Cathe and I love fancy choreography but that one took me a few tries to get. My suggestion would be to preview it before you actually do it to get an idea of what it's like. Stick with it; it will get easier with time.

RS wasn't my first Cathe, other than that statement, I second everything Marcy said.

Go for it!

Hmmmm..thanks. Sounds like the scrambled eggs is gonna be a killer...might have to try that one in next week's slot.

I have not done Body Max 2 yet, but did do the Double Upper Body premix on it this morning. It is great! I can't wait to try the whole dvd. :)

Thanks for your thoughts Jordan. I haven't utilized the premixes yet!

Thank You for the responses. I have a ton of Cathe workouts, but I did RS maybe 5 times, and I could never get it. Same with SB. Anyway, tomorrow is cardio day, maybe I will try it tomorrow!!!

I just finished scrambled eggs. I am drenched in sweat!
I needed to work off all the holday treats I received as a teacher yesterday. According to my heart rate monitor I blasted 500 calories, so that should help some.:)

I think Scrambled Eggs without Weights (fast forward through them) is even harder! I use that when I want a really tough, calorie burner of a workout and am time challenged. I think this is right around 60 minutes, and it is VERY challenging. But I love it as is as well. I just love this one.

I did the 62 min. Calorie Blast Premix today, and I really liked it!! It definitely is not dancy at all, which is good for me. I have watched it a few times while I was doing Cardio Coach on my treadmill, but it is hard to pay attention. I will do the cardioblast a couple of more times before I try the scrambled eggs just to get it down better. I really liked this premix!
Lori

I don't see Calorie blast pre-mix on the BM2 DVD or did I miss something? Is it on the BM2 DVD or another one?
Thanks
Eva

I think she meant Cardio instead of Calorie, but her title is more descriptive :7.

I did the Boot Camp premix this morning from BM2. To me, it seemed tougher than Scrambled Eggs. That upper body work is just had for me in this workout for some reason. I suspect I may be doing the Cardio & Weights, Boot Camp and Scrambled Eggs premixes from this workout more than doing the actual workout from start to finish.
