Body Blast or Intensity Series?

I have all the new ones starting with the Hardcore Series and up. I ordered the 4 day split. I wanted to know which ones are the favorite between Body Blast & Intensity Series? I think they were made in 2003. I was also wondering if it would be better just to get the 27 DVD Bundle first? Are those too dated? (Sorry for lack of a better word). Brenda

Hi there!
I'm totally in favor of the Intensity Series--it's by far, my absolute favorite. Are you looking for recommendations of specific dvd's from that series? I would go for the Pyramid Upper and Lower DVD, Imax 2/Cardio and Weights and the Terminator. Of course all of Cathe's workouts are great so you can't lose with whichever you chose. Have fun!!

Intensity Series. I still think it's Cathe's best series so far, as a whole, with a godd balance of workouts (A two-day split, an interval step workout, a total-body muscular endurance weight workout, two cardio-and=weights type workouts), each one a winner.

I like her Body Blast Series the most. I love KPC and the premixes on those dvd's are tops. So many different ways to use them. It has a little bit of everything. The music is some of my favorite also.

For results - I go for the Intensity series - I think I first started seeing definition in my upper body when I used the pyramid system.....and Imax 2 is so much fun and really gets the heart rate going......

The body blast series is FUN - I love the music, its dancy, its peppy and KPC is out of this world fun and even the weighted workouts are fun, but the premixes are the gem as far as they go...

Crap - BOTH! Or the 27 dvd bundle - you will do it anyways....and none of her workouts seem to dated to do - I still pull out Leaner Legs bc its one of her best leg workouts as far as getting it done in a quick amount of time.....and power hour rocks!

I am a big fan of the Body Blast series. Great fun cardio and great weights. Also loads of premixes and great music on all of them. That being said, I have yet to try Terminator or the Boot Camp, so I am not fully qualified to speak about the Intensity series (except that I LOVE the Pyramids).

I am just intermediate level and I think Body Blast overall is slightly easier than the Intensity series--it's excellent for intermediates, so that might be another reason I prefer it.

I like the Intensity Series mostly for the music used! But I will say IMO the premixes in the Body Blast series are the best!!!

I have just bought the 27 bundle and I am thrilled with my dvd's. I was afraid it was going to be dated, but it wasn't. I have actually worked out this month with 2 days off each week and I am nowhere near using all the dvd's. Body blast is not included in the bundle, but once I am finished with these that will be next.

I like to buy an assortment for whatever I may need on any given day. For example, I prefer cardio vs. strength training on some days. Only you can decide what works for you. Sometimes my knees will ache from too much step so I rotate in upper and lower body strenth training mixes.

Sometimes I'm too dang lazy and I like to do an upper body workout; less cardo.

But, then again, I think Cathe has all great workouts and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them because they can be modified to a higher or lower intensity as needed. Also, exercise doesn't expire!

I like them both, but I think I like the Body Blast series more. I love KPC and Legs and Glutes and all of the premixes. Step Blast has awesome music and is fun, and the weight training dvds are great too. That being said I love IMAX2 and is my favorite workout of Cathe's.

Get them both you know you want to!!:p

Intensity Series - without a doubt. Fun, intense and challenging. When I have an Intensity workout on my docket for the day I always look forward to it. IMax2, my favorite workout EVER!

I can't say with certaintly what it really is about this series that makes it outshine the rest... but it really does.

Liz
