Hello has anyone else tried this? I love a thick peanut butter sandwhich. That is evident of the pounds,i gained the last few years.
I bought this peanut butter and it taste good almost as good as peanut butter but it is not thick.. It is a little runny. So its hard to eat as a sandwhich if its running down ur arm. ,got to eat fast and not enjoy. Im,trying to think of a way to make it thicker.. Any suggestions? Has anyone else tried it? Its lower in fat and calories so it would b a great alternative.
Okay I know it isnt as "natural" but its less fat then pb and that is what I am looking at. Thanks

I checked it out 'cos I eat peanut butter almost every day. I ONLY eat Maranatha brand peanut butter. It's natural but with just a hint of cane juice to sweeten it up ever so slightly. I can eat it from the spoon it's that good. I won't scrimp on my peanut butter. It has to be delicious!!!!! Do you like the taste of this Better 'n Peanut Butter? I've never seen it here in Canada.

I don't want to be an enabler for eating more.... But have you tried Sarabeth's homemade jam? It's expensive but boy oh boy is it worth it. I do not eat jam. Everrrrrr! Jam is boring to me. Well, it was, until I discovered this stuff recently. It's not even jam. It's cooked fruit with sugar. It's thick and tasty and I am eating it with chicken, on goat cheese, on peanut butter - just a little goes a loooooooooong way.

This is the only one I eat. I put a nice tbls into my oatmeal in the morning. How can I describe this...heaven in a bowl perhaps? :p

Sorry Renee, I live in Canada too and we get shafted with some USA products .

Great, now I have to look for the jam cuz' I know I can get it here :D. Ceci, where did you purchase it?

Natasha

Natasha, I got it at bloblaws in the jam aisle. Look down. It's on a low shelf and is 8.99 for a good sized jar.

Never heard of that jam.
Man! I wish u got bettern butter.. U can order from amazon. Its good just not thick enough.
Crap now I got to check out that jam lol

I love better'n peanut butter. If I remember correctly, it has a bit of egg white to add more protein and flax seeds. We haven't bought it in a long time though. The price went up, and they don't sell it where we normally shop.

We love Wild Harvest natural peanut butter. It tastes like freshly shelled nuts. there are no other ingredients. It does need to be stirred, but the oil on the top is great for peanut sauce or stir frying, just a little adds lots of flavor. When you get to the bottom of the jar, it's very thick. Sounds like it would be great for your sandwiches. Or maybe you could do carrots with the better'n peanut better as a dip.

Also, if what you are really after is the peanut flavor, but not so many calories, maybe make a stir fry with a peanut sauce topping, and eat it over spinach, or wrapped in some type of long leaf. romaine, steamed cabbage leaf, or just with your salad. maybe a few nuts on top for crunch. I love peanut sauce with long noodles, but it's just never satisfying to a have a little. so with the veggies you have much more leeway.

Or make a sugar free cocoa with a little of the liquidy peanut butter. just enough for flavor. kinda like a reese's pb cup.

Oh and to thicken it, have you tried storing it in the fridge? We do that sometimes, although the thickening is unintended.
