Bed of Nails!

Anyone else use this? OMG, I love it! I bought it on a DealFind after I researched it and read the reviews on Amazon. I love it! I have had it since March and now I use it everyday. My back/shoulders used to get very knotted and the B.O.N dissolves them! I hardly have any pain or need for a massage therapist anymore. Yes, I've even fallen asleep on it!

I have something similiar - it is called the Spoonk. It is definitely a bit owie at first, but I have gotten used to it. I am still new to it, but it does seem to help relax my muscles in my back.

I have never used this but my husband has to alleviate his lower back pain and it works like a charm. It looks kind of scary, but it has worked for him and two other friends of ours for the same problem...that's how we found out about it.

I have a herniated disk with sciatic nerve impingement that I am recovering from thanks to acupuncture and my Teeter inversion table and physical therapy. For those that use this for lower back issues, was it for a herniated disk? Sometimes the tingling/cramps are unbelievable from the nerve inflammation and I will try just about anything... Have to be better for Cathe's new workouts when they arrive :)

One of the reviewers on Amazon said they liked the "Heavenly Acupressure" mat's quality better than the "Bed of Nails". Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have never heard of this but it looks interesting. However, is it actual nails? Does it puncture the body? I know accupuncture needles are very thin but for this mat to be strong enough to hold my body weight, I'm thinking it would have to be made of thick nails and I am imagining my body having holes in it.

also, does anyone have the pillow? wouldn't that hurt the scalp?

I just received and used mine for the first time yesterday. I wore a thin t-shirt with it, but could see the marks of where the "nails" had been in my skin--no broken skin though. The most discomfort was from the pillow in the lower scalp area, but still not bad. I stayed on it for 10+ minutes and even lifted my legs during the last half of it to really get my lower back on it. I slept really well last night (I did this right before going to bed), but it's too soon to know if that was due to this mat and pillow. I will keep using it and see if my sleep and lower back pain issues change.

No, it's not actual nails - they look like plastic tiny "teeth". I have the pillow, also & I've only laid on it twice, & it is more uncomfortable to me than the back mat. Maybe because my head is not as hard as I always thought? ;):p I'm loving mine - what I've noticed so far is how relaxed my back muscles feel afterwards. I also stand on it (with socks on) for a few minutes, which helps my feet feel good. I'm doing it immediately after my workouts (in the evening - after I get home from work).

Mine arrived yesterday and I love it. Hurts at first, but suddenly, it feels great.

I have the mat and the pillow. First tried it on the floor and the other folks are right, the neck pillow was the most uncomfortable. Later, I tried sitting on the mat (on my La-Z boy recliner---something I thought I'd never own but is my favorite chair--but that's another story). :p Anyway, I prefer to sit on it---covers from my mid back to my hamstrings.

Right now I'm using the neck pillow in my lumbar area! Feels better there than it did on my neck.
