I was just reading about this and I think she very appropriately asked to be called by her proper title and he very kindly consented. Why are people going on about this? It's not like she went on some major rant. Probably he meant no disrespect and she didn't say he did--just asked for him to call her Senator, which is what she is.

I was shocked to hear the misogynistic rants cropping up elsewhere on the internet about Senator Boxer just because she had the shocking gall to ask to be called by her proper title.

Not even going to get in on the mudslinging here among ourselves. Yikes.
 
She could have just as easily asked to be called a liberal b---- because that is also what she is. JMO - everybody has one.

You're right. Everyone has an opinion. But not everyone's opinion is equally informed, interesting, or worthwhile, and sexist name-calling is an excellent way to make your opinion seem uninformed, uninteresting, and worthless.

By the way, you go ahead and keep your opinion, but here are the facts: Barbara Boxer is a SENATOR, elected by THE U.S. CITIZENS who VOTED for her.
