I was just reading about this and I think she very appropriately asked to be called by her proper title and he very kindly consented. Why are people going on about this? It's not like she went on some major rant. Probably he meant no disrespect and she didn't say he did--just asked for him to call her Senator, which is what she is.
I was shocked to hear the misogynistic rants cropping up elsewhere on the internet about Senator Boxer just because she had the shocking gall to ask to be called by her proper title.
Not even going to get in on the mudslinging here among ourselves. Yikes.
