Bad Knees

Due to injury, I am to do non-weight bearing exercise. Are there any dvd's for upper body strength training that can be recommended? I realize that there are instances where I would need to adjust standing to sitting, but looking for the most training I can get from one dvd to get started.

So sorry to hear about your knees! :(

One of my favorite upper body workouts is CTX Upper Body. I find it's so flexible! It works your entire upper body for approx. 10 minutes per body part. You can go light and focus on endurance or do just a few segments and heavy up.
I think most of the exercises can easily be done sitting .(I can't remember if there are deadlifts which would be hard to convert)

Also, not strictly upper body, but I'd also do some pilates for lower body, non weight bearing stretching and strengthening.

I hope you feel better soon and are able to resume weight bearing exercise.

Good luck!:)

Pyramid Upper Body is great. I can't remember all of the exercises, but I'll bet you can do most (if not all) of them sitting and/or lying down.

Come to think of it, most of Cathe's upper body stuff can be done sitting. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) This would mean any of her weight training DVDs would work for you, especially the ones with specific upper body premixes.

I'm nursing what I suspect is a lower body injury due to overuse, so I'm currently doing upper body only. I've been using Pyramid Upper Body and the Gym Styles series, and I'm planning on adding Muscle Max soon.

Hope you heal quickly!
