AUGUST ROADTRIPPERS!!!

Catherine I have not made a special trip to NJ to see Cathe but I went on last year's RT. It was nice to not have to worry about paying for a flight. Look forward to meeting you also:)

Hi August RoadTrippers!

This will be my 3rd RT :D

I found out about Cathe on the FIRM boards.... and the rest is history. I am 48... *GASPS*, have been married 25 years, and I have three sons (ages 23, 20, and 19).

I am looking forward to seeing some old friends and meeting some new friends.

Al seriousness aside, I can't wait those of you whom I already flipped off again (my finger is ready for Catherine's new toy) :7 :7
And I can't wait to meet the new chicks!

Hi everyone. I'm another August Road Tripper here. I'm so excited but also so out of shape lately that I hope I don't humiliate myself. :) I'm glad I've been here long enough to trust that I'll be forgiven for my weaknesses.

I'm Lainie. I live in NY--about 20 miles northwest of NYC and only a couple hours from Cathe myself (though this will be my first trip down there). I'm a stay-at-home mom with two little boys (ages 5 and 2) so I'm relying on the hubby to watch them on the RT weekend. I'll be rooming with Phyllis (***waving to Phyllis***).

Anyway, I've been in NY for about 18 months now, but I'm originally from Texas, so don't expect me to sound like a New Yorker. (Actually, don't expect me to sound Texan, either, unless I'm trying to sound funny.)

I'm also a bit shy, but I get over it pretty quickly.

I discovered Cathe in April of '07 and joined Catheland shortly after. So though I haven't been here so very long, I feel like I have many friends and I look forward to meeting some of them and making new ones at the RT!

Hi everybody!! I'm Amy but around here I'm Ame. Hmm. Okay, so I first tried Cathe in January of 2005 after I was first getting back into impact aerobics after a stress fracture sidelined me for about a year (I had been running too much, on concrete, etc so I ran 18 miles on a broken leg, oops.) I did all kinds of rehab work (like running in a pool, LOL!) and then started law school in 2004. I've been on the boards since I think May of 2005 because I lurked for a little while but then I had things to SAY so I butted in. }(

I became ACE certified in Feb 2006 and have been teaching bootcamp since Jan 2006 every morning at 6am. Yow. I'm not a morning person, I swear. :p I just love it, though!!

I've been married 5 years and DH is coming to the RT but he's only going to stay with me at the hotel- I doubt he's interested in the whole squealing fun we're going to have! }( :p :7 We have 2 kittens, George and Gracie, and that's pretty much it.

Oh, I'm in the SF bay area. I'm an OALer so I pretty much pour my heart out on the boards all day, every day. I remember when Shelley first started the OAL!! :7

I'm uber excited to get to go on a RT this year!

Hi August RT-ers

I'll be joining you all in August for my first RT. I'm flying out of Flint Michigan after a 3 hour drive to get to flint. It'll be a long day of travel for me, but well worth it I'm sure. I have not met a single person on the Cathe forums, but I am really looking forward to it!:)

I've been married to the most wonderful guy for almost 12 years now. We have 2 boys who keep us busy. We own and operate a trucking company in northern Michigan. He does the driving. I do the books.

I started using Cathe vids well before I got on the boards which was in 06. I used to do Gin Miller, Kathy Smith, and Kelly Roberts before I found Cathe. Since then, I have never looked back.

I love sci-fi. I was a complete Star Wars geek growing up. I was also a major tom-boy. I have a BAA, RN, and an associates degree in small business management. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up. *lol* Actually, I like my job cooking the books.;) But at least if that ever falls thru I have a back up plan.

Oh, and Beeves......the knock in the head thing causes men to not get dirty clothes in the hamper? Hmmmmmm.....who knew? I guess DH has a previous head injury I didn't know about.:7

I'm so excited to meet all of you and to see Cathe's gym. I sure hope the weather is nice for the flights! I don't want to miss a single minute. I still gotta find me some PJ's!

haaalooooo, all you rt'ers!

my name is lorie and i will be joining you all on the august rt. it will be my first. i "found"cathe on collage in 1995 (i remember going to target to purchase my step when i was living in my first apartment by myself). i have been doing her on and off since then, but my main focus has always been running. i have run three marathons and countless half marathons. in the summer, i also swim about a mile and a half in the mornings when i am not doing nrolw or running.

i am very active in animal welfare/animal rescue and have been working with animals (both as a vet tech and as a volunteer) for the past 10 years. i am a school psychologist employed in the public schools and am working on my dissertation so that i can complete my doctorate.

i have five four-legged children (all rescue dogs) that i love dearly. my so's name is dean and he is a british boy (cute accent! ;) ).

i can not wai to meet all of you! i am really looking forward to this rt!!!

Hi all!

I am Becca and I have been working out with Cathe since Oct of last year. I first heard of Cathe years ago (I think when MIS/MIC was released?!?!?) from the Firm Boards. I checked out her site then and I was afraid! Looked way too intense for me. I continued with the Firm off and on and for a while, had some babies ( DS 11, DS 5, DS 4 and DD 3) and needed to get serious about my health. I remembering hearing about Cathe from the boards and Collage and she seemed to be the "gold standard". Many of the reviews I read in Collage would read: "Its good, but not as intense as Cathe..." So I checked out the website and bought a step and haven't looked back since! :D Thanks to these boards, I have also added running to my repertoire. I ran my first race (a 4 miler) in May and am running a 5K on the fourth of July.

I am 35 YO and a SAHM but I am also a registered nurse. I used to work ER and loved it. Now I use my trauma skills at home (one of my DS's tests my skills almost daily! x( ) My DH is Frank and we live in NW Ohio. I am bringing my sister Renea along and she has worked out with Cathe a few times with me. I think she is in for a treat. }(

I so look forward to meeting you all!:7

Hi fellow August RTers!!

I have been working out with Cathe since 2003, I think! DH bought me a step for Christmas and All Step (VHS) was in the box. I fondly remember it taking me WEEKS to get that choreography down. I would do a little every other night with remote in hand and FINALLY, I got it. After that I was hooked.

I just turned 37 at the end of May. I've been married for 12 years this September and we have an 8 year old DD. I work full-time as a credit manager for a teleconferencing company. Hmmmm...whate else? I love working out. I'm currently hooked on Cardio Coach on my stationary bike. I love reading, gardening, shopping, coffee...I think that covers it!!

This will be my 2nd RT. I attended last years and really enjoyed meeting everyone. This year, I am driving down from MA very early on Friday morning. DH figures it will take me about 4 hours to get there. It'll be interesting to see how much energy I have for the Friday morning step class. I hope there is someplace open that early because I will need a large cup 'o joe for the ride down! I've never driven such a long distance alone before and I'm kind of excited about it.

okay, okay, i apologize for procrastinating!!!

my name is lorie and my forum name is lederr. i'm 37 years old and single and seeing a wonderful guy. i live in roswell, ga (just north of atlanta) and am a member of the atlanta cathe group as well as the cheetahs and the oal. i am a school psychologist and am currently working (or procrastinating on working) on my dissertation to complete the requirements for my doctoral degree. i work in animal rescue and have five rescue dogs. this summer, in addition to the road trip, i will be spending 10 days in aruba as well as going to florida to visit my family and meet my 4 month-old nephew for the first time (!!!). my brother and his family live in washington, dc, and i had not made it up to meet my nephew. i am really excited about aruba as i've never been and am in love with the caribbean!

this will be my first cathe rt and i am so excited!!! i can't wait to meet all the wonderful people from this forum and only wish we could all be together on one road trip!
