I'm sure by now you've all heard that there were several explosions in London, England this morning that have virtually shut down London and are being attributed to terrorist activity.

I just want to check and make sure all our British posters are okay. I'm not sure if you're even in London, but even so, this must be a very stressful day for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your country today.

Nancy - I'm sure this brings back particularly disturbing memories for you and your husband.

This is just so awful.

I'm in West Sussex, England, and am constantly reading the latest news on the BBC website today. I used to live in London and caught the tube every day so it seems very close to home. Hope other England posters are okay.

My prayers are with everyone as well - My brother in law and husbands sister flew into London late last night or early morning. We still have not heard where they are - hoping to get a phone call soon. Their kids are staying at grandma's right now so we hope they call to check in very soon........

My prayers are going out to all in the UK, especially London, and for the whole world. Hate seems to know no borders or boundries. I pray for Love to reign in and over all of us.

I'm sure you'll hear from them shortly. Maybe the phone lines are overloaded? If you have a number for them, I would try it. When we were in London on 9/11 we weren't able to call out, but people could reach us from the U.S.

I saw the new this morning, and it makes me sick! Completely innocent people don't deserve a death like that.

Haven't posted for a while but just wanted to say its now calm and windy in London at the moment I only got a little caught up in it this morning all we were told was that there was a power surge and told to evacute the station. It was only when I got to evacute the station. At the moment I am in my office and fine and so are most of my friends just waiting for a ride home.

How horrible and it brings back so may memories for most of us I think. Why can't everyone just get along. I know that is unrealistic but this senseless killing is such a cowardly act!

Terri

Well my in-laws are safe. They were held at the airport when the attacks started. It still makes me sick to think of all the people who were not as lucky -
