As if I needed another reason to exercise...

Hi Cathe,

I had a DD in 2005 and did your workouts from pre-pregnancy until the day I delivered and never had any problems. Since then I've had 2 miscarriages. A few weeks ago I went to see a Maternal Fetal Specialist who told me that I have 2 blood disorders which cause my body to produce clots when it shouldn't which gives me an 80 to 100x higher risk of miscarriage, stillbirth, preeclampsia, etc. Anyway, when I asked the Dr. why I never had any problems with my DD he said he it had a lot to do with daily exercise kept my blood from clotting which brought me my little miracle girl whose now 3.

Anyway, it was your workouts that kept me inspired and motivated to workout daily while not even realizing that every workout was keeping my little baby alive. The more I think about how I beat the odds and had a healthy pregnancy the more I think about how grateful I am to you for doing what you do. So thank you and I can't wait for you to help me through the next pregnancy:)

Wendy, I thought I'd also chime in that while I never became pregnant, the best cycle I had while doing infertility treatments was the one where I got the most exercise... I also have fertility issues related to blood flow. I've often wondered if we had continued to try to conceive after starting exercise if I would have conceived. I really do believe that exercise does your body good (and as you point out, in many ways we don't even consider!)

You all are so sweet. It is pretty amazing to think that when I started exercising it was for the sole purpose of losing weight. Now, I workout for so many deeper reasons and as I tell my DH, it's mostly for sanity preservation:)

Thank goodness for distraction, huh? :) Fitness is a whole lot cheaper than rubber stamping (what I ended up doing back then). I hope you are blessed with another addition soon!
