Are you an ODD!! couple?

Okay, I know you really are ALL odd,

But lets talk height..........(and make fun of the ODD couples.......just kidding)

Your height and your DHs or DBs height

And NO giving the guys a break. We all know SIZE DOESN'T MATTER!

I am 5ft 7
DH is 5ft 10

I always wear heels WAY heigher than our 3inch difference when we go out, and HE HATES THAT.

Your turn, and any fun height stories

Marion

I am 5'3 and THREE QUARTERS"! Hubby is 6'. Perfect height for me! :7

I am 5' 9" and my husband is 5'4" or 5".

Yes, I wear a 2" inch heel most of the time and when I wear my new 3" heeled boots, he definitely has to look up to me.

Our height difference was once a problem for me, never for him. In time, I just got over it and it's a non-existent fact these days.

I'm 5'7-1/2", DH is 5'10". We're the same height or I'm slightly taller in platforms or high heels. He's a little insecure about it and will say something like "wow, you're tall today" when I have on heels, but I just ignore it.;-)

I'm 5'2.75" and my husband is 5'2.5". He doesn't mind if I wear heels or not.

Nothing too odd here, I am 5 ft 7 and he is 5 ft 11. I did however date my fair share of shorter men so when I introduced my now dh to my folks, the first thing out of my mother's mouth was " wow he is taller" (than me which was implied,LOL!!) and also the fact that he had hair!!:+ :7 Alot of my past boyfriends had been either shorter than me or had no hair(balding) or both,LOL!! My mother was happy he had hair and was taller, and yes 15 years later he still has all his hair.

Now for our boys that will be a different story, they will have height and more than likely no hair since male pattern baldness runs in my family and is passed on through females!! :+ They don't have a chance!!

Marion,
When I saw the title, I thought you were going to ask how many couples are like Oscar and Felix. I think it might be a cute idea for another topic.

Heightwise, my DH and I are unremarkable. I'm 5'3" and he's 5'8" or so. (And even though you didn't ask, I'm a Felix and he's an Oscar. :+ )

I've always dated men much taller than me. Maybe it's a power thing -- who knows.

I'm 5'1" and my ex-SO is 6'3". Our pictures always came out looking a little funny.

I'm 5'0" and DH is 6'2". That's about all there is as far as our "oddness" from each other. When we were getting married, our priest had us each take the Meyers-Briggs personality test. We both came out the same personality type (INFP) and our priest said that we were so much alike that we'd have to make sure we developed friendships outside of the marriage if we were to grow. Our likeness can definitely be a handicap. Neither one of us is big into talking, so our communication with each other kinda blows.

If you aren't familiar with the Meyers-Briggs test, you should find a website that offers a freebie. It's very interesting. I think iVillage might have one on there.

I'm 5'8" and my closest equivalent to a partner is alo 5'8". It's cozy. We can wear the same clothes (don't go there!!!).

I dated a basketball player in college who was 6'10", it was like he was a different kind of human. Tooooo tall.

Ideally, I like 'em about 6'2" for aesthetic reasons and looking good when dancing.

I'm 5'5" and my DH is 6'8". We've been married 13 years and I don't even notice the height difference anymore. My oldest son is 12 and he's already 5'10".

I'm 5'8" and my husband is 5'10". It doesn't bother him when I wear my high heels. He says he loves how sexy my legs look.

I just have to chime in because this thread is making me smile.

I'm 5'1", my husband's 5'5".
He's passive, I'm confrontational.
We both pick our battles pretty well.
He's an engineer, I'm an artist.
We both have graduate degrees.
We both agree that we can be stupid sometimes.
He likes to plan. I'm pretty impulsive.
We don't argue. We just ignore each other.
He chats with his friends. I take out my Cathe DVDs.
After which, we put our son to bed and watch Seinfeld reruns.
We've been together almost 14 years total.
Been married 7 years.
When we do fight, all hell breaks loose.
But we like to believe, in spite of it all, that we'll grow old together.
Our son insists that we do.:)
