Appreciate the older Cathe workouts

Finally, I am just getting back into a routine post education. Although, I know Cathe workouts well, the newer workouts were quite initimidating for me. This weekend, I did Step, Jump & Pump and Kick, Punch & Crunch. I tried Low Max, which didn't go well, a couple of weeks ago so I went to Simply Step with Gin Miller.
Kudos to the Intensity series.

Great job!

Wanna talk about an oldie but a goodie? I did Power Hour on Saturday and I'm STILL sore from it today!

Cathe rocks!

Power Hour is one of my favorite full body workouts. I am hoping that
I will like High Reps as much!

Step Blast is one of my favorite step workouts!

ITA that SB is a lot of fun without being overly complicated.

RS is an old but good step work out.Trickier choreo then SB for sure but fun just the same!

Step Blast is my favourite. That's the workout I chose as my birthday workout.

I also really like Step Works.

I am curious about Slow and Heavy, Pure Strength, and Power Hour. I don't need anything else right now, but keeping these in my back pocket if the new dvd market isn't producing anything new that I want.

I think KPC will remain as one of if not the best kickbox dvds ever produced. I have done a muscle max remix full body recently a couple of times. Drill Max is always a go to, and I am thinking of bringing back Gym Styles soon for a new rotation.

Some of the newer stuff I really love/like (STS Strength, HIIT and CCC), and others I can't seem to get into, like Circuit Blast, I can't get past the very first Circuit, I have tried twice, I think I need to watch it first all the way through to see the direction it takes.

I love the older workouts. Step Blast is a blast, I just did the original Imax on Saturday. Its still just as intense! I do like Athletic Step, the choreography is a lot of fun. I don't know why but doing those 'cross country' style drills is fun.

What I don't have and I might get for my birthday in March is either Body Max 2 and Drill Max.

Body Max 2 and Drill Max are great choices...you will love them.

Might have to pull these out of my back pocket now, just got that 20% coupon when ordering with the calendar. OK, off to review them again.

I was feeling a bit nostalgic last week so I did Imax original on Monday, MIS on Tuesday & Thursday and MIC on Friday. Those were the first Cathe workouts I bought back in 1999 and they still pack a punch!

With so much new material coming out, it is easy to forget about Cathe's oldies but goodies. I'm following the October Rotation, so I pulled out S&H Legs and Shoulders today and it was great! My butt is gonna feel this tomorrow! Just b/c it's an older production doesn't mean it's an easier workout.

And I agree with the PP who talked about MIC, MIS, and the original Imax. Those always get me good! I think the original Imax is the hardest of all the Imaxes.

What a timely thread. I did Low Max last week (it had been at least a year) and Muscle Max (probably over 2 years) and have wondered why I haven't been doing these more often. I'm planning on BM2, Imax2, Legs & Glutes (it's been forever) in the next week then onto GS. I usually don't go more than 2 weeks without KPC - cannot go long without that one :p Love these oldies, but definitely goodies ;)

I've been doing some oldies but goodies recently...I wanted to shake it up a bit. I did Step Heat recently, Power Hour, How to Get in Shape for your wedding (both cardio and strength segments...had never done that one before!), and Pure Strength Chest/Shoulders/Tris today. Even though they are dated, I love the Pure Strength set and always get good results from them. !! I'm having fun and am going to try to do all my Cathe's (some I've never done)...the difficult thing is not doing KPC and the MMAs every day...I love those!

Is the wedding workout on DVD? I heard it was pretty good. Although when I had first seen it on Collage, I was going through a divorce so wedding stuff was not my deal.

IMO, KPC is one of the best workouts ever!! When I couldn't decide between Kick Max and KPC, the suggestion was strongly for KPC. I understood why quickly. I purchased Kick Max later to finish the Hardcore series for me. Although both are kickboxing, they are very different.

I don't think the wedding workouts are on DVD...mine were VHS. Today I did another oldie, StepMax, burned 360 calories....yow!

Tuesday it might be Gin Miller Simply Step then Wednesday either KPC again or Cardio & Weights so I can hear "Buttercup." I did Bella fitness (gin miller) tonight.

So I ended up ordering Pure Strength (headbands and all) and 4 Day Split, my current rotation will work great with 4DS, I'll reserve PS for when I go to a heavier lifting phase. I'm not sure 4DS really falls into Oldie but Goodie though ;)

I did Step Blast last week. I had forgotten how FUN it is!!
I LOVE STEP BLAST!!!!! I'm planning on doing it tonight! I've only had it for about 2months and have done it all the way through3 times now. Makes me feel like I've had a quality workout for the time I put in! FUN FUN FUN!!!!

Oldies but goodies

Hello again,

I have returned to the boards after being off for a few years. Surgery, change of jobs and relocating to another state have kept me from the forums, although I have been working out consistently. This thread grabbed my attention. I think I have all of the Cathe workouts and routinely mix up the older work outs with the newer ones. . My oldies but goodies list: The terminator, SJP/step blast 85 minute pre- mix, MIC, KPC , Rhythmic Step, Power Max, and Leanlegs.
