Anyone with Netscape getting Cathe Cam?

I'm just wondering, because I noticed that everyone who talked about a browser in the other Cathe cam thread mentioned IE. I can get the class on the Netscape option, but can't get it using Media PLayer. During today's class I tried right clicking on Media Player and checked out the error messages. It said the file I requested didn't exist. So I'm wondering what that means exactly. Does it mean that I can't get it with Netscape? Does it have to do with the fact that I'm connected at 28.8? Does it mean nothing at all? I tried the option it gave me of going to the Microsoft website for more info, but then Netscape crashes on me altogether. Anyway, I was just wondering if any other Netscape users have been able to access the nifty new Cathe Cam stuff. Thanks!

didn't work for me

Erin,

I initially tried to hear and watch this morning's class w/ Netscape. Didn't work even though it should. So, I launched IE instead and listened to the class. I also watched the class for better quality viewing w/ my Netscape browser.

I did notice that there's a delay between the Netscape and Media player options of a few seconds.

My Situation

Erin, I downloaded the Media Player at home and watched and listened this morning with no problem. However, even our department computer guy couldn't get Media Player to work in my office last Friday (and he's supposed to know everything; we do have firewall there). I watched using Netscape last Friday.

Lorrayne - how do you listen to Media Player while watching Netscape?

Too mad you missed it this morning, Erin -- Daphne was the star of the show!

2 at once

Hi Joni,

I opened two different browsers. One launched the Media Player, and the other viewed the Netscape page. It worked out fairly well (especially since I was having problems viewing/hearing portions of the class via the Media Player -- I think due to Network congestion). The only gotcha with this is that the Netscape one occurs a few seconds before the Media Player. But, it still works out fairly well.

Lorrayne

PS I agree with Joni, Erin. Daphne looked ABsolutely wonderful. She was just smiling away while doing plyo jacks.

Thanks Lorrayne

I could try that at work once I get my Media Player working, since I have both Netscape and IE there.,
