Anyone have or ordering Hammer & Chisel?

I tried Hammer Plyo today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm saying that from a couch potato since September perspective. Cathletes would find it easy. It ain't no Crossfire or IMAX.
I added more warm up and still felt hamstrings complain. I better add some flexibility stuff too. I'm not sure yet what I think of the series but I don't hate it so far.
More like a ... Meh.

Can you expand on Meh? Do you not like the exercises? The music? The sequencing? The instructors? Does it feel like a remake of some other series? Is it too easy? Just wondering as I'm trying to decide if I should order.

Lol sorry I guess Meh doesn't quite cover it.
But it kind of does compared to Cathe's series. Instruction is ok. As in...just ok. Redundant mostly.
Exercise selection is ... Well, they would go from a nice normal set then add something like that Bulgarian split squat plyo with a knee up. I suppose that's what they would call intensity but it seems ... Out of place. ( plus warm up is inadequate if you really want my opinion )
Music I didn't really notice.
You can make it harder by heavier weights.
Exercise selection is good for the most part except for some odd ones like I mentioned or some that when modified are just a waste of time like modifying pull up knee up to a either a burpee or squat jump ( forgot which )
I like the straight forward sets like 10 reps x 3 of step ups and regular split lunges in ISO strength chisel. ISO strength chisel I liked. I did that one last night. 10 counts regular pace then hold x 10 seconds on count 11. Does that sound very revolutionary?
Instructors: straight forward. Autumn's voice can get annoying after awhile but it's not THAT bad. The Beast... It's weird how a smart man can work so hard at trying to come off as dumb but it's not a deal breaker.
Will this series transform you? I think it's that diet that will.
Would I recommend it? New stuff is always welcome if you ask me cuz it's change. Is it something you really must have? No. Exercise is exercise I don't believe there's a magic series.

I have not been seeing great reviews of these workouts. I think I may wait a little longer to hear more about them.

I received this set and ICE about the same time. So, I did ICE one week and then switched to the Chisel part of Chisel and Hammer. I really like it! It's a good contrast to Cathe's workouts. Works muscles differently. This coming week, I'm going back to Ice and the next back to C & H. I NEED variety, and while different from Cathe, I do like Autumn. We'll see how I like Sagi. Anyone else doing C & H?

Exercise -lover,

I got the set in December and did the first two weeks of the program as written. I really liked Chisel Balance-and felt it days later. I also like Hammer's Total Body Hammer workout. I thought a lot of the workouts were rather short in length. Do you see enough variety of exercises? It felt like every workout had squats, push ups and pull ups (or band option that I did). It felt repetitious to me. I've been really loving ICE and will be interested to hear what you like and don't like about the program!

Beth-B-Fit, I'm not great at following rotations. I usually just alternate strength one day with cardio the next. I noticed some of the workouts are kind of short, but they are combine-able. The first day I did "Master's Cardio" (wasn't very hard and only 18 minutes, but got me good and warmed up). Then I added "Chisel Balance," which is 41 minutes (it's mostly back, glutes, and legs -- I liked it and felt it afterwards). Then I added "Ab Chisel," which is 10 minutes (I did this one with leg weights and definitely felt it -- creative core workout). The next day, I did "Chisel Cardio." It's 39 minutes of wonderful metabolic cardio that definitely had me sweating. The third day, I did "ISO Strength Chisel," which is 36 minutes. I went heavy and added bis and tris at the end in the same format she uses. Loved this one. The fourth day, I did "Chisel Agility" which is 38 minutes (has a definite fun factor with how she does some of the drills -- makes you use your mind with rapidly changing directions) and added "Ab Chisel" with leg weights again. Then "life got in the way" the next two days. I got some riding and yoga in, but not any H & C.

Would love to hear which workouts you've done and what you think.

I'm enjoying ICE with heavier weights and the Blizzard Blasts. It's a fun, flexible set. I'm enjoying alternating weeks. They work well together for me.

I am into my third week with the rotation on Hammer and Chisel. I have went off plan a bit and added some short cardio to some of it though. I bought the deluxe workouts so I have used them or did the add on the 15 minute hammer legs of chisel glutes. These are both about 18 minutes actually. It seems almost all of them use weights of some sort. Some are lighter or in the deluxe set the incorporate the medicine ball which is 8#. Leg Hammer is all med ball and I feel a bit more cardio oriented. There is a hammer only rotation or a chisel only rotation. I believe the longest is about 45 minutes in length. I like them because I think they all seem to change up reps, rests, holds, and speed. Some are timed moves. Some will do 8 rep sets. Generally it seems you can go heavier with Hammer workouts and lighter with Chisel. I did Hammer Build up today instead of Max Hammer Strength and I felt I could have went heavier. Also in this one they say you can go heavier and use a dumbbell instead of the the medicine ball. I added the 15 minute leg hammer so the actual time came out to 50 minutes. That being because I had to pause a couple of times on build up to adjust some weights and look at what all was coming up next and how long I would be doing the move.

I also bought the set and started their general rotation last week. I quickly realized that some of the workouts are a little too short for my taste and by following their rotation as laid out, it was starting to feel a bit repetitious to me since they are all total body workouts. The really short workouts left me wanting more and feeling like I didn't get the most bang for my workout. I do like that the workouts provide some "new/different" ways to lift weights that I have not seen in other workout videos. For example I really liked Iso Strength Chisel's concept of doing ten reps, holding for then seconds, then repeating this sequence two more times with no rest in between. It really fries the muscles!!! I've decided to scrap their rotation for now, but plan on adding some of the H&C workouts into a rotation of my own making incorporating workouts from other instructors so that things don't feel quite so repetitious.

I got H & C for Christmas and was thinking of starting it soon. I was looking at the 60-day rotation schedule which includes the deluxe workouts...some of the workouts in the base kit are not even included on this schedule and others are used only once! Wth? I guess I could follow the base kit schedule and sprinkle in the deluxe workouts where I think they could be used, but you would think Beachbody would do all that for the purchaser.

I've done it all now and really enjoyed it. I've identified my faves, which I know I'll come back to. I'm liking BB workouts. Just ordered Hard Corps.

Jodi - I have noticed that also and it is annoying. I often think the Bonus Workouts are the best and yet they use them only a few times. I started keeping a tally of how often each are used and am changing workouts around so I use them more often. But I agree - they should be doing that for me.

I am enjoying MHC. The only other Beach Body program I have done is Body Beast and I liked that also. The two programs are not the same and aren't meant to be - I see that is a complaint from people, that MHC isn't anything like BB. I will say that if I was doing MHC on its own, I might not feel totally worked out (shorter workouts, overall body focus rather than concentrated body parts). I am using the 2 month program as a 3 month program by sprinkling it in with my other main workouts. That isn't to say MHC wouldn't be a full rotation on its own, it is just that I literally sit on my butt all day while on a computer or a phone for 10 hours and therefore my body needs, and can handle, more than one workout per day.

This is my first experience with Autumn and I like her style. I was familiar with Sagi from BB, and found him to be silly. I will say that in MHC when Autumn and Sagi are together, it gets...annoying. I want to yell at Sagi to shut up and let Autumn talk. And by the look on Autumn's face, I think she is thinking the same.
