Anybody have WIDE feet?

Does anyone know of any good aerobic shoes for Cathe workouts if you have wide feet? I'm having a very hard time finding really good shoes with support and cushioning that don't hurt my feet when I workout. Help!

Thanks!
Nicole

A friend of mine has wide feet and she wears Rykas. I wear Rykas myself and love them - great support and cushioning. You might check them out.

I have wide toes, but very narrow heels. I've had the best luck with a pair of mesh Nikes. The heel is tight enough to stay on my feet, while the mesh prevents my toes from being smashed together.

My feet are a "D" width. I recommend you go to a good running shoe store to get fitted. The brands that work for me (in order) are:
1. New Balance - they come in different widths
2. Ryka- model SUPRA these are my current shoes and they didn't have to be broken in at all. Note:I tried a different pair of Rykas last fall from a DSW store, and they hurt terribly for the first two weeks
3. Saucouny- for running. I do not recommend the Ryka SUPRA for running it actually has too much room in the toe box. I jammed my toes in the front while running in the SUPRAs and my toe nail cracked and later came off. OUCH!

I've always had the best luck with New Balance 608s. They're the cross trainers.

They aren't as cute as the Rykas, but they don't hurt my feet.

I have a D foot with a narrow heel and very high arch. I've done well with Ryka's for lifting and aerobics, and I have a pair of Mizuno Wave Runners for running. They are great.

The best thing you can do is go to a running store and have someone find shoes for your style of feet. I have WIDE feet with HIGh arches. For me, I got the Asics Gel Nimbus IV shoes. New Balance also had some that came in wide but didn't quite fit me right.

Shari, I have the same shoes as you. I really like them. I have a wide foot and these are very cushiony. However, there isn't enough lateral support for me, but I do like the way they feel.
