any born again christians here?

Hi thinkgod1,

Yes I am a born again Christian. I'm currently working in Saudi Arabia so don't get to church very often!!!! There are church meetings on our compound though.

Here's a joke for you.

Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were swimming around in the sea - one called Justin and the other called
Christian. The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that patrolled the area.
Finally one day Justin said to Christian, "I'm bored and frustrated at being a prawn, I wish I was a shark, then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten..."
As Justin had his mind firmly on becoming a predator, a mysterious cod appears and says, "Your wish is granted", and lo and behold, Justin turned into a shark. Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.
Time went on (as it invariably does...) and Justin found himself becoming bored and lonely as a shark. All his old mates simply swam away whenever he came close to them. Justin didn't realise that his new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight. While out swimming alone one day he sees the mysterious cod again and can't believe his luck. Justin figured that the fish could change him back into a prawn.
He begs the cod to change him back so, lo and behold, he is turned back into a prawn.
With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes, Justin swam back to his friends and bought them all a cocktail.
(The punch line does not involve a prawn cocktail - it's much worse).
Looking around the gathering at the reef, he searched for his old pal. "Where's Christian?" he asked.
"He's at home, distraught that his best friend changed sides to the enemy And became a shark", came the reply.
Eager to put things right again and end the mutual pain and torture, he set off to Christian's house. As he opened the coral gate the memories came flooding back. He banged on the door and shouted, "It's me, Justin, your old friend, come out and see me again.
"Christian replied "No way man, you'll eat me. You're a shark, the enemy and I'll not be tricked. " Justin cried back "No, I'm not.
That was the old me. I've changed."
Wait for it.

Wait for it.

"I've seen Cod. I'm a prawn again Christian".

Me too. I am a soldier of Christ and my war is on the battlefield of faith.

2 Timothy 3-4

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

I am too. Glad to see you are on this board and loving Cathe and the Lord. Have a great day.

Hi Jenni,

Not to hijack the thread, but where do you live in Saudi? I lived in Riyadh for many years, as well as Jubail.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow - what a ride!’ — Peter Sage

I am a Christian and go to church every Sunday. I also love to workout to Cathe and others. Nice to meet you!:7

I'm a Christian too! In fact, we have a group of us from our church that are training to do a mini triathalon this August. Its been a wonderful experience so far.. truly a lesson in learning that you "can do ALL things in Christ who strengthens you"!

Lynn M.

Lynn, that is so cool. Unfortunately, my church congregation is a little on the older side. I wonder if there is a triathalon out there for folks in walkers and wheelchairs. If not, there should be!

Hi everyone I am aborn again Christian also. I have been lurking for years and decided tonight to post on the "open forum roll call check in" in the open discussion forum. I love the Lord and He has blessed me with a healthy body. Every single day I thank Him for my health and the many many blessings He showers upon me every minute of every day.:7 So great to meet you, and God bless you.:)

Me too, and let me tell you how many times I'll be in the middle of some serious Cathe workout when I have to say, "I can do all through Him who strengthens me..."
;-)

Definitely, Jesus Christ IS my Lord and Savior. He is my comforter and hope in the storms. His inspired word is music to my ears. Where else shall we go but into His arms?
And yes......I'm a Cathe freak as well!
