I don't know if the Bodypump training is similar to Group Power, but typically you learn a complete class during the entire weekend. For instance GP realeases new music 4 times per year and at a training you learn the current release. So on day one the trainer will lead you through an entire class. Througout the weekend the trainer will teach you about the Les Mills Brand, and breaks down how to teach the current release. Then they assign each person 1 track to teach and they film you teaching the track. From there they will break down your form and teaching skills. For GP there is no written test however you have 90 days to learn the release and film yourself teaching it to a live class and then you have to get approved by Les Mills to teach Bodypump. If you fail the test they will let you refilm. Les Mills and GP are liscenced workouts and you can only teach in a gym that pays for it's liscence. If you are currently at a gym that teaches bodypump you can ask to become a sustitute teacher and from there you can work your way into getting your own class. It helps if you are currently a group fitness instructor however I know people who do the training and never taught a class before in their life and they became great instructors.
