Hi!

I have the all-clear from my hubby to order P90X so I'm going to do that soon. I have a vain question to ask - of those of you that have finished P90X, how much weight did you lose or clothing sizes did you lose by the end of the rotation?

:)

I lost 5#s but 4% in body fat so I was down 4 sizes! I ate pretty clean but did have 1 cheat DAY per week...Thats not Tonys philosophy but I needed to do it for sanity.... I also was only about 95% on target with workouts... I missed some- made some up as doubles days but also sometimes just "moved on".... My P90X was really P105X to be exact;)

I was THRILLED! If STS can help me get similar results I'll forever be a happy camper.

ENJOY the experience & if possible start a check-in or social group- it REALLY helps going thru it daily with others .... oh- also- unlike many people here- I didnt sub leg work & cardio....I LUV'd the non-weighted Plyo & Leg days & my body did as well. I rarely did all of YogaX (it was too long for my pea brain) but did try & do kalf of it at least 2x a month.

From what I remember, I lost a few pounds and a lot of inches. I ate like crazy too. I didn't eat very clean. I did the classic rotation without subbing, except for yoga. I subbed Power Yoga 4 Happiness. I also took a week break between phase 2 and 3 to paint. Looking at my pictures before phase 3, you could see the transformation. I'm glad I took pictures because I would not have noticed the changes if I only checked my weight and measurements.

I did the classic rotation with a little extra cardio. I subbed alot of the cardios and also subbed out yogax quite often. That being said I lost a couple of pounds and 2-3% body fat. I have pics and let me tell you that seeing is believing! It may not sound impressive but the rotation made a HUGE difference in my body! I didn't follow Tony's eating plan but my diet was pretty darned good. I was being as good as I could be. I allowed myself to eat alot since heavy lifting makes me really hungry. I was just careful about my choices. :)

I lost...

I lost about 10" inches but only about 4 lbs. I didn't take my bf before or after so I don't know how much bf I lost, but I know it was quite a bit! Make sure to take your measurements, that's where I noticed the changes!!! If can't remember everything (can't find my paper w/ the measurements!) but if I remember right, I lost 3" off my chest (mainly off that bra bulge area!), 2" off my waist, 1" off each thigh, 3" off the hips, and did gain 1" on the bicep! (woohoo!)

HTH!

I didn't weigh or measure, but I looked better. I do know my bra band size went up (from building my back more).

IMO, P90X is really not a weight-loss rotation done as-is (doing the "Doubles" rotation, or adding in more cardio would do this).

This fit my goals just fine, as I just wanted to refine things a bit, and exchange some muscle for fat.

Like Kathryn, I did not weigh, measure or take before/after photos. I can't say if I lost weight b/c I rarely weigh myself but that wasn't my goal. I wanted to gain strength and definition which is exactly what I did.

During my very 1st P90X rotation I lost a total of 21 lbs. I also drastically changed my diet and was eating SUPER clean. For me keeping it off is the hard part as I age...:)

Let me preface by saying I did not follow the eating plan nor was I eating super clean. Perhaps if I had, I might have had more dramatic results. However, I did gain strength and saw positive changes in my body.

During the process, my weight fluctuated up and down, and I couldn't quite tell at times if I was making progress or not. If that happens to you, trust the program. In the end, though there wasn't much of a difference on the scale, I definitely lost inches and increased my strength.

Hi Reese777,

I am getting P90X this week. I would be happy to do it with you and see how we do. Alittle support is always good. I don't want to lose any weight just firm up. But I would like to see the before and after difference.
Good luck!!

P90X

I've had the series for awhile and use it in correlation with my Cathe dvds and such. I didn't lose weight, but I wasn't trying to. I am working on gaining muscle. The series is a good overall mix of cardio, strength, and flexibility. The only cardio dvd that rivals any of Cathe's advanced dvds is Plyometrics. The other cardio stuff was too easy for me, I had to add to them, but I've been a Catheite for like almost 20 years. Hope this helps out!

I don't remember, but I had noticeable changes for sure.
Especially from days 1 to 30 and then again from days 60 to 90. Day 30-60 not so much of a change. I guess that shows the importance of sticking with it.

It's an excellent program. I think STS will be better.
