Am I the only one who thinks it would be cool if Cathe....

went back to some older videos and re-released them with premixes? Sometimes, I do older videos and think 'dang, I wish this was mixed with another video' or 'I wish this was shorter/longer' (for instance with IMAX/BODY MAX or MIC or any of the oldies)

Is this a dream, or would anyone else like this? I love my older videos, but I truly love the premixes on the new videos...it provides you with so many options..I would def buy the re-releases!

(I haven't had a chance to post here in a while..sorry!) ;)

I'd love to see a rerelease of Circuit Max, Interval Max, Body Max ('senior,' LOL!), Cardio Kicks, etc. with more detailed chaptering, and some premix options. They could be called "'old workout title(s)': the remix(es)."

I just wonder how much of a demand there would be for them? If it's not much, then it probably wouldn't be financially beneficial for SNM to do it.

(I'd also like to see Step in Motion III--my first Cathe workout!--released on DVD, as I sold mine years ago).

Well..then I am worse because I wish she would re-shoot them with newer outfits/styling. Like, Pure Strength. I like the workout, but not the outfit/hairstyle. How shallow is that? Uh..oh yeah, premixes would be nice too. ;-)

Or how about SNM updating them like was done with the original Star Trek : using CGI technologie to change clothing, hairstyle, etc. without refilming!

I think the fear is that if they re-did them, no one would by the 'older versions.' My idea would be to include PARTS of older workouts together in new combinations. That way, people would still be apt to purchase the as produced versions. It'd be like getting a whole new slew of Terminator, Harcore Extreme, and Cardio Fusion workouts:

For example:

CTX Step Intervals warm up
Interval 1 from Imax 1
Pyramid Upper Body Chest (up pyramid only)
Interval 2 from CTX Step Intervals
Pyramid Upper Body Back (up pyramid only)
Interval 4 from Imax 3
Pyramid Upper Body Shoulder (up pyramid only)
Interval 3 from CTX Step Intervals
Pyrmaid Upper Body Tricep work (up pyramid only)
Interval 10 from Imax
Pyramid Upper Body Biceps (up pyramid only)
Interval 9 from Imax 2
All (4) Supersets ab segments back to back
CTX Step Intervals stretch

Another idea might be something like this:

Kick Max warm up:
Kick Max combo #4
Pyramid Lower Body Squats (12 reps only)
Kick Max blast challenge blasts 1 and 2 only
Pyramid Lower Body Plies (12 reps only)
Kick Max blast challenge blasts 3 and 4
Pyramid Lower Body Static Lunges (12 reps only)
Kick Max blast challenge blasts 5 and 6
Pyramid Lower Body leg press (12 reps only)
Kick Max blast challenge blasts 7 and 8
Pyramid Lower dead lifts (12 reps only)
Kick Max blast challenge blasts 9 and 10)
Pyramid Lower Body's floor work
CTX Kickbox's abs and Planks
CTX Kickbox's stretch

Or

MIC warm up
Circuit Max hi/lo sections 1 and 2 back to back (compound weight work omitted)
Drill Max Drill 1
Circuit Max's kickbox section 1 (compound weight work omitted)
Drill Max Drill 3
MIC hi intensity hi/lo only (not the lo or medium stuff)
Drill Max drill 5
brief cool down
Slow and Heavy Back and Chest's supermans and planks
Power Hour's abs
Power Hour's stretch

There could also be some new 'bonus' stuff thrown in there for some premixes.

Some bonus high step stuff would be great because this could be incorporated with the high step stuff from High Step Circuit, High Step Challenge, and High Step Training Advanced!!!

I have mentioned this time and time again on previous strings on this forum about re-releasing previous released DVD's with premixes. Especially the original Body Max with pre-mixes similiar to the BM2 and many other cardio and weight ones mixed with premixes. Other people have chimed in stating that they would buy these new re-released DVD's. However, Cathe nor SNM had any comments on the string that I started. But guess what???? I saw on another string that SNM has technical specialists working full time on a podcast type deal where you can download all the workouts that you want to and put together your own premixes from any and all of the individual segments of each workout. I keep checking the forum hoping to hear the latest. But the latest I heard is that "they're working on it".
I can't wait to see what they come up with!!!!

Here is the link to the earlier thread with Cathe's reply. She didn't give much detail, but what I got from it is that it sounds like they are trying to "invent" (my interpretation) a device similiar to ipod where you can download Cathe's workouts from the computer and then plug it in and play it on your TV with the ability to customize your workouts and choose various segments from different workouts. I'm not technologically savvy myself, but if they do come up with something like this, I will be one of the first to buy it and learn how to work it. See how you interpret this thread. Obviously, they are trying to work out something, but not enough to really comment on how it will be done.

I hope this helps!!!

I love this idea and was thinking the same thing yesterday as I was looking for a cardio workout to do. If they could put together something along the lines of terminator where they mix and match parts of other workouts (it could be all cardio or circuit format) that would be so fun!! Just something different to mix it up.

It wouldn't require Cathe to actually do a new workout which is SO labor and time intensive. So it would be awesome for her AND us!!

For those of us without a multiple DVD changer that could be programmed in our house this would be the next best thing!

What I also noticed is you can not go back to the previous excercise as easily. I also am amazed at how hard MIC is WOW.

I love this idea of mixing up old and new. I'm frequently doing this myself... on Sat I started with KM punch/kick combos and ending with the 2nd half of IMAX 2, then the abs from C&W.
