"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Jen, glad to hear things are going great with school! I think I still have my old FIRMS on VHS somewhere, but I rarely used them because I remember not liking them.
Iris, the running thread is small right now. There are only 3 of us and the ladies are nice. I'm hoping more join so I can get some more tips and advice on running! I guess time will tell if it lasts!
Sounds like you do need some more time before following a rotation. I would stick with what you're doing now. If you force anything upon yourself you may start dreading your workouts! The workouts I'm doing now are separate from Slim in 6. It's the advanced follow-up series called "Slim Series". There are 6 different DVDs with this program. They follow the same exact concept but are more intense and longer. Four of them are 60 minutes and two are 78 minutes. I own 5 out of the 6. I didn't get one of the two DVDs that is 78 minutes long. I don't like the length and it got "so-so" reviews. I'm happy with the other 5 for now!
Bummer that your KB class was packed! You definitely need room to do those side kicks! I'm glad you're liking the new instructor though! And yes, the format you're following right now is similar to SI6. Although there is no "separate" cardio in the program. She does do some light jogging and jump jacks, but 95% of the "cardio" factor comes from the constant lunges/squats/weight work. It leaves me breathless sometimes!
Cathy, how are you feeling today? Maybe your headache was "Cardio Fusion" induced!! I know that some days, if I don't drink enough and do intense cardio, I will get a headache by the end of the day! I hope you are feeling better today.
Today's workout was my C25K run plus "Cool it Off". This is the 60 minute stretching/strengthening/stabilization DVD. I thought about pushing myself and doing another workout, but decided against it. (I kept hearing Iris say "take the relaxed approach!

) Today my whole body is so sore, especially my legs and butt!! I skipped over most of the stabilization moves (with the exception of one or two for the knees) and just did the stretching, so it wasn't quite an hour. She does about 3-4 different stretches for the hamstrings/quads/glutes & hips, and she holds the stretches for 30-45-60 seconds. I love it!!! It was exactly what I needed today!! She also stretches the upper body and neck very thoroughly. This one is a keeper for an awesome stretch!
Have a blessed day ladies!
