WHO WAS THE SURPRISE GUEST SPEAKER???? You're killing us over here. We need details!

How were the workouts? How was the food?

COME ON, PEOPLE!!!

Shelly-I needed a minute to go get my packet of hand-outs. The lady's name was Cynthia Bilicki-Nimz MPT, CSCS, CPT (physical therapist, but I'm not sure what any of those letters mean, lol).

She spoke at both time slots. The first one was a discussion on common sports-related injuries...specifically back, shoulder and knee problems. She talked about what causes them, how to fix them, and how to avoid them. The hand out for that discussion had a bunch of moves, exercises, and stretches.

The second time slot was the discussion titled "Fitness for Middle-Aged Women" and it talkeda bout the 'special exercise concerns' of middle-aged women. Specifically, Osteoporosis, Cardiovascular Disease, Weight Gain, Redistribution and Protruding Abdomen. Again, she talked about what causes these things and ways that we can avoid and/or correct these 'conditions'.

I hope that helps.

... where in we learned about balance training as it's called before age 40, then it's called fall prevention, aka "how to avoid cow tipping" (sorry Gayle) ok - now I'm really off to unpack.

You should have told her it was Coach Sean in sweaty, skimpy workout gear tell us tales with his dreamy voice. You know, just to torture her..... }( }(

Oh....if Coach Sean WERE there, he never would have gotten out of that place with clothes on! I'm tempted to email him, asking if he's single and willing to move to Nazareth PA! lol

Lorrie.....COW TIPPING! How could I forget?!?!?!? I am SOOOOOOO honored to have met you this weekend! Let's STAY IN TOUCH!!

The workouts were AWESOME and the food rocked. I have to say it was all excellent. I was one of the early birds who came on Thursday and took Cathe's Friday step class, it was a blast. My heartrate soared and I burned nearly 500 calories in about 40 mins! Saturday we did 3 classes, a kickbox class started us off and a lot of it was from Cathe's new series - AWESOME. The music is rockin' and you can tell how much she loves it, it was a fabulous workout and a lot of fun. Our last class for the day on Saturday was a SB & band class that was great, she killed our legs with many walking lunges and worked our core with innovative and effective moves and then did a great stretch at the end. This mornings early 7 a.m class was a bit of everything (besides step) it was like a true live "blender" she asked us to yell out what we wanted to do, we did air jacks, terminators, tons of kicks and punches, she worked us good!

I am still coming down from the high of this trip and in need of sleep! I miss everyone already ;(

The last class Saturday was totally STEP and it ROCKED...my favorite of the weekend :D The 1st was kickbox followed by stability ball and then the step class...I still love the sound of 100+ steppers....just awesome! The music from the yet-to-be-released series did sound great.

We also had the privilage of viewing short samples from the new workouts...they look amazing!

Step is always my favorite workout but I have to say I loved them all, especially the Kickbox, just fun. Working out "live" with Cathe was just the greatest. I don't know about you guys but everyone seemed to really be in sync in all of the classes, it was like a well tuned orchestra.

It was one of the very best weekends I have ever spent in my life. Right up there with my wedding day, and the days my babies were born in life's major events. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have more of you fellow Catheites there. I soooo miss everyone already. All the workouts were wonderful, but Step on Saturday afternoon was the highlight. I could have gone on for another hour.

Another stepper fan here! I have to admit that I was nervous going in - you know, afraid I might mess up - but everyone is so caught up in the thrill of it all that NOBODY CARES if you mess up. It was exhilarating!! I needed to take frequent water breaks only because my mouth was so dry from being open with a smile, not because I was thrsty!

Cathe and everyone at cathe.com are amazing! Of course the crew looks adorable, but aside from that, the entire staff was attentive and in tune with everyone's needs. OK, here's and example. On Sat, Cathe saw a road tripper with a cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts(a local place known for it's great coffee with a store just down the street from the gym)and sent some of her staff out to bring coffee back for ALL the road trippers!

The entire weekend was a blast!

I am soo happy for all you roadtrippers! It sounds like you had so much fun!:)
But we are happy to have you all back that is for sure, and thanks so much for updating us and posting all of those great pics, you all are one group of beautiful, fit and happy women!

I want to try and go next year, it would be a long flight, but totally worth it, despite my being so shy and a total step dork, I could slip in the back row and enjoy watching all of you!:7 :7

I'm happy for all of you, too. I sure hope I can go next time--it's not that far from here; my main issue would be leaving my kids for the weekend. But surely my hubby can handle them alone for once--and maybe by the time the next one rolls around I'll be fit enough to keep up!

I too am glad that you Road Trippers had the time of your life, and you are home safely.

Good for you all! :)

Thanks for sharing your wonderful stories!!!!!!!

Hey Phyllis! I believe that was Tess and I with the cups of coffee! Yup, you girls have us to thank for your mid afternoon caffeine kick!

Lemme tell ya... I had all the Dunkin Donuts mapped out before we go there!

Didn't Vicki have the farting dancing phone? LOL!

I really enjoyed the step class too even if I looked like Mr. Bean. We were treated wonderfully. The south has nothing on Cathe's New Jersey hospitality.

Yes, the famouse pink dancing phone was Vicki's! :) I had been eagerly anticipating seeing it in action. Definitely one of the highlights of the event for me. ;)
