A weather rant

WTH is going on this year? It's May & here in NJ the weather is still in the 60s. I am so sick of sweaters & long pants. I'm sitting in my office wearing a sleeveless turtleneck, twill pants, & my stupid LEATHER JACKET!!!!!!!!!! I want sandals & sundresses!

Next w/e I open up the beach house & the temp will be 65 here, meaning about 60 down the shore. That's during the day. How am I supposed to go out to a club on the boardwalk at night w/the temp in the 40s wearing a sweater & shoes w/socks? This is really bringing me down. This time last year the temp was 85 & in the 60s at night. Someone please tell me this will change soon! :-( There must be some light--or heat--at the end of the tunnel!
 
Same here in Minnesota. I'm still wearing my silk long underwear under my long sleeve shirts! Plus, we have had a ton of rain. Tomorrow, it is suppose to be nice so I'm going on my bike with a friend all day.

This is Al Roker speaking. I predict that the weather in NJ will be significantly warmer this weekend than it is right now. The sun will shine, and while it won't be 85, it WILL be a nice 70-ish.


Geez, you'd think today was Friday. I gotta get some work done. I'm worthless when my kids are taking a test!!
 
The last three years we've had this cold rainy spring weather. We go from winter to the mud/rain season to finally summer about the middle of June. And it seems we are once again in that same weather pattern. It really bites. Because it means the bugs will be really bad again too with all the water standing out in the farm fields and people's yards.

It is depressing.
 
I know what you mean. Tomorrow it is suppose to be only 63 here in Virginia. It is usually 83 by the end of May. It is funny though because there is an elderly woman who lives behind me and she is always out when the weather is too chilly for me. Yesterday it was about 77 degrees and she had her A/C on. I could hear it when I was walking the dogs. LOL. Maybe I need a get a life? LOL
I do hear ya though. I am just glad we are going to Virginia Beach the third week of July. Hopefully it will be hot then. I am not sure about taking my children to the pool on Memorial day when it opens up. Again, probably too cool. I love hot weather and this just stinks! I want to go back to Mexico!!!!

Charlotte, where do you live in VA? I think I asked this before but I forgot. I lived in Wmsbrg, Newport News, Hampton, & Suffolk. All in 7 years LOL. Maybe we were neighbors?
 
I agree, this weather is the pits. It's supposed to rain a bunch here in Northern IL. But our motto here is: If you don't like the weather right now...wait 5 minutes! The weather here can change so drastically, it's mind-boggling.

I remember a few weeks ago, it was like 3 seasons at once....I was outside raking leaves in my driveway, snowflakes were coming down, and I noticed the grass needed to be mowed! A very surreal moment....

I have a sunburn on my shoulders it was so sunny and hot last Saturday yet this entire week it has drizzled and rained...in CA :( I'm tired of the rain!

The weatherin colorado was flaky and would be cold and rainy until this past weekend. It is sunny here and gorgous! Suppose to hit 90 today :) Not trying to make you all envious I swear! In fact you all can come up to my house and we will go to the park!

How the heck did I know it was going to be Maximus ranting about the weather. I swear I took one look at the post and said this has got to be Maximus, but I'm with you on this one. Although I do not have pretty feet, they still need a breather. I can't afford to get any darker than I am already, but feeling the sun right about now would make this dark woman very happy:+.

I have only lived here in Luray for 4 1/2 years. Before I was in PA for 5 so I still feel like I am up North because the temps right now are like PA in May here.

Our "spring" here has been the same. In fact we had 4" of snow last week! Finally this week we are up to the 70's which is a nice change.
 
I'm right there with ya Maximus! Jersey weather pretty much stinks right now! It has to get better....though I have no clue when. Yesterday when we left the house to go visit Joey's grandma at about 3pm it was really nice out-not hot but atleast no jacket required-but by the time we were on our way home around 8pm it was awful outside! Cold windy and rainy. BLECH! When will it end is right!?!x(

So does NYC weather. :( Looks like another 60 degrees + rain day here. It's depressing enough having to wear sweaters and a jacket to come to work, but it's compounded by management having the AC on at work when it's 60 outside. I sit right below two vents that blow directly on me and that management has not been able to redirect (they've tried). Just to be comfortable at work, I have to put on a sweatshirt and a really thick wool cardigan on top of the sweater that I wore to stay warm outside. I hate AC to begin with, and on top of our not having a spring, it all drives me just about nuts.x(
 
I just checked weather.com. It looks like the East Coast can expect rain and cool weather from tomorrow straight until and through next Saturday. Pooey.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I'm taking off next week--Thursday through Monday! gah. sigh.

I prefer this forecast--at least there's a glimmer of hope. Weather.com tends to be more pessimistic, in my experience.
