7 days a week

i know that rest days are important but there are some weeks (not all) that i workout all 7 days. I was wondering how many of you do this and rarely take rest days unless your body really needs it.

I would love to work out 7 days a week, but Cathe has once said on the forum to listen to your body. Take a day off if you feel like you need it.

Well I do listen to this because I usually need about 1-2 days a week to rest and sleep in. :)

Good luck!

Listen to your body!

I've actually done 'every day' challenges, when I workout every day of the month. But I make sure to vary the workouts--incorporating both cardio and weights, never the same type of workout two day in a row, and varying intensities and using one day for a stretch routine.

I tend to insert planned rest days but only take them if I feel I need a rest otherwise its a kick or yoga or easy jog....If I dont take days off I rarely do extra high intensity tho- I tend to take advantage of the extra day by doing things that are easier on the body & joints. When I used to do marathon cardio sessions I couldnt workout without days off regularly- since stopping that almost 8 months ago I can go many many days without an "all rest" day. Listen to your body.

Depending on how you train - I think it is prudent to schedule in rest days - particularly if all the other training days are intense :) }(

I always have one rest day, usually Friday, although most of the time I can't help fitting in a little light cardio in the morning.

IMHO it's really important to give your body a day off. I think you get better results that way.

I wish I could work out so much! I always intend to do 6 days before a rest (and I've done 7 without a rest in the past but it wore me out) but I have found my body generally wants 2 rest days a week, for whatever reason. I also try to do a little Pilates or yoga on rest days, though.
