Hey everyone! I'm BACK!!!! Actually, I've been back, just been needing to rest up (even though I went to work Friday). I thought I'd start the thread early this week, I probably won't have enough time at work to "talk" properly. (that sounds like how Ronne might phrase something
We did go ziplining and to Mesa Verde. It was a LONG drive. Bummer part is that DH got a ticket the night we were driving back! Failure to stop coming out of the gas station...I think the police was waiting and since when is there a stop sign coming out of a gas station in a dusty little town? I had to go to Google-Earth to find it, and from the direction we came from out of the gas station and how wide the exit area was, there is no way we would have seen it. Guess that town has a bit of our money now ($90!). Anyway, Mesa Verde is very interesting the first tour the people weren't so athletic and had a hard time making it out the exit (I think a 100 ft ascend on a ladder and steps). The second tour was much more exciting getting into and out of (and we had athletic people because they warn the public a lot on that one). Here are the pics that I think everyone will be able to see even if not on facebook.

Ziping was fabulous (the train ride was a bit long ---only way to get there). It is a coal powered train so the smoke made our eyes hurt--especially on the drive back---we didn't get back until 1:30am---I haven't seen that hour of night in decades! ) The people on the ziplining really made the tour fun....they all remembered your name and we had a Brit who was sooooo funny and he hugged me at the end....so personable. Lunch they provided was fabulous too (or maybe i was just starving?) The best part is this girl put me in a size 2 harness and one of the guys said it was too big so they had to put me in a size 1. I bragged about it and then the lead guy said that they normally use size 1's for teenagers! Oh, made my day! (It's the little things). I even went upside down on the line! Here are those pics:

Now to exercise. I did NOT exercise on the trip (sorry Kathryn). And at one point on the zipline course we did have a 1/4 mile hike uphill (I'd say 8% grade). Finally on Friday, I did 4DS KB only (started back slow), then Saturday I ran 4.5 miles (I was still slow), and Sunday I did STS Meso1 legs (had to hit pause SEVERAL times). Why does it take you so long to recover the older you get?
Oh, the weather here has been crazy. 95 most of the week, then on the weekend 55 for a high! Back to the 80s this next week. Maybe the humidity is affecting me still? I did feel the elevation change in the mountains (normally we are at 5200 ft, and in the mountain we were at 7200-8200ft) I'm taking the BP pills every other day (if I take them every day my BP is too low). The trip DID help my outlook----I laughed SOOOOOOOOO much with my boys! That is until the cop was a party pooper--thankfully THAT was at the end of the trip. We are still laughing at the time we had.
Ronne, I need a vacation like you had now! I did wear my hat MOST Of the time I was in the sun---did I mention I HATE hats?
Mary, sounds like the hip is getting better? How is the other hip doing?
