40's - March! 3/3/13

Roxie, we have a sleep number bed and I would not buy another, not really thrilled with it. Neither is my sister. I hate when beds have "dips" from where you lay, I asked if this bed would do that and was told no....well, it "dips", when you make it, it is never flat, even when pumped up to max. Sometimes it felt like we were sleeping on a hard air mattress even with all the foam. I added ANOTHER memory foam matterss topper on top to try to make it livable for us. I think next bed I would buy a good memory foam one (maybe becasuse it's the only type of bed we haven't tried?)

Mary, PA will not order MRI because of insurance won't let him, once neuro sees me and wants one then they will order...uh, not sure how that helps, neuro can order themselves! Oh well. I'm actually feeling pretty good, not right, and I know exercisse will make it worse so I'm not back to normal at all! Even though I'm not in debilitating pain, I will still keep next wed,13th, appt with neuro to try to see why this always happens and is getting worse as I age. It's better to check it out now with the good ins we have and while we have funds and while I'm able to recover easier than later in life and so I can be assured that if there is something to be fixed I can then have less worries of triggering this again. Hope that makes sense. I found their website and I feel like it is a very good place Boulder Spine Surgery | Sciatica & Lower Back Pain Treatment | Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates Yes, that band work over the head and pulling back is compromising.

Jody, going to do some yoga tonight, and some LI cardio tomorrow, see how the body responds. I will try to be smart about it! Hey, I did lose another lb! Hope it isn't muscle I lost! Saw Ellen doing barre work on her show, she's funny, she made fun of it, like is this all there is? She cracks me up.

Ronne, we had snow yesterday. And my yellow crocuses are blooming thru all the snow we've had lately :) Spring is almost here!

Murphy, I do have to say I think I have less headaches now that I'm in meno. I guess that has been ONE benefit too.

Mary, also massages in past (given to me as gift) has caused my neck to start hurting too. That's why I avoid them (that and $). It's like they rearrange how my body and muscles likes to hold itself to avoid the pain?

Lisa-the sleep number bed we bought has memory foam on top so its nice to sleep on even when you haven't adjusted the settings yet when we get to the next house the one we buy we are going to get the base that allows you to raise the head and feet.

Ours does too. I think it was the sleep number 5000 bed we bought(middle of the line) hope it works you. Initially we loved it, about 5 years later, not so much.

Lisa-we got the M7 we laid on the 5 and didn't really like it wasn't very comfortable. Your bed is still under warranty you could always call them and see if they can help you make it more comfortable or exchange it for another one.

Today I did a CSS pm, a CCC pm and PP. I won't make it to xtend due to lack of transportation-van in the shop for overdue repairs ~1700. I'm counting on another yr or two of use after this.

Lisa, navigating insurance/medical systems is exasperating!

Roxie, I hope you have some sweet dreams in your new bed. I got a new mattress 2 yrs ago but wish I'd chosen a memory foam one instead.

Murphy I've been doing abs about 4 times a week w/ the xtend classes, more than I usually do so you can have one of mine.

Ronne, how did the clothes fit? Did you like the Leg PM?

Mary, lol at Ronne's viral comment. I'm staying out of trouble, just working out and cleaning up around here, waiting on AC guy this aft, will pick up car this week after repairs so I'm home bound if kid is using car.

Re weather, I thought it was super cold out so I pulled on long sleeves, Michigan jacket, gloves and hat when I went out this morning and it was nearly 70, up to 72 now,lol I looked a little silly.

Lisa, lol, I googled the Ellen episode where she was doing Barre method, she was funny.

Good Evening,

Tonite I needed to do a workout I tried filing for unemployment and it was asking me the same question over and over again so it frustrated me and then the internet on my computer isn't working again so its been a bad day. I did Cardio Leg Blast premix 3 rounds 1-6 but I didn't do number 6 and then I did Shape Abs and Total Body Stretching.

Today was a cardio leg blast premix and the scarecrows. I am sure my shoulders will be talking to me tomorrow if not today. For the legs I did Cathe's weights and it went well. I was pleasantly surprised with myself. I really need to get those workout cards to see what I should be using; I have been guessing.

Lisa-I think only insurance companies stakeholders like insurance companies.
Roxie-hang in there and glad to see you are working out again.
Jody-thanks for the ab work. ;-)

Waves to all.

Murphy

Hi all

Roxie - wow!! That's a lot of money. Hope you like it!

Lisa - baby steps on the workouts remember!!

Murphy - well done on the workout - CLB is one of my favourites.

Mary - Well, I ordered 6 things and kept three, a shirt, a skirt and a pair of flat shoes. So not too bad!!

Jody - that is so funny!

Today was AOLIH. Not done it for a couple of weeks so it was a challenge. Had to modify the windmills as I've aggravated a weak muscle that bothers me from time to time. I feel it when doing side kicks, sort of inner thigh area. Just have to watch stuff using that.
Struggling to get on with work! Just don't want to do it!

no working out for me. I had some pain going into my left lower jaw and general neck stiffness so thought I'd try the muscle relaxer. Took it at 1, by 5 I fell asleep in my chair, got up at 7, went to lay down to put heat on my neck, fell back assleep, dh came to bed at 10, I got up and was so dizzy. I called the credit card company back (someone has breached our acct), went back to bed at 11, up at 6am. all night, major vertigo as I rolled to each side in bed. Up this morning, still major dizziness, have to be careful not to get nauseous. Not sure if it's still the pill or the pinched nerve. I can't even turn my head with out getting dizzy.

On the plus side, I got some new pillows that i ordered yesterday, ah, it was like sleeping on a cloud!

Missed Xtend this morning : ( so I did Turbo Barre, prob for second time ever. It's a little different from Xtend, heavier wts for upper body. I'm previewing Andrea's dvd, she's a great instructor.
Lisa, hope the vertigo is better by now.
Ronne, yea for new clothes.
Hi Roxie, Mary and Murphy. I want longer Spring Break!!

Hi all! Today did premix from LiCH. Lisa, hope you feel better, hate feeling dizzy! Jody, enjoy this week, I have to wait another 10 days! Roxie, how's the job search coming? Ronne, I love getting new clothes! I'm terrible about returning them tho, especially thru the mail. DD has a band concert tonite, have to get moving! Mary

Good Afternoon,

DH and I went and got some stuff out of storage like our spare bed and my wts for barbell and we took some stuff to storage. I will do XT BS Bis and Tris.

Mary-nothing yet but tomarrow I am going to the hospital to apply they still hand out applications, I am a CNA but I don't want to work in a nursing home.

Lisa-I hate dizziness you should get some Meclizine.

Jody-good job getting a workout in.

another "all about me" post, sorry! dizziness may be getting a bit better, that was one wicked pill, never will take one again. it did get rid of the pain :) but it wasn't worth the awful feeling. Maybe because I get motion sick so easy. DS employer is now making him sign a memo saying he is resigning without being coerced or else they will sue him for loss clients. unbelievable level they are stooping to. contacted employment lawyer, said best to sign but also provide resignation letter. Still waiting on official start date at old job, thankfully we are pretty sure that is coming thru, but in the meantime there is loss of income. Can't file for unemployment, this employer will fight to the end. I can't believe all the dirty underhanded employers out there, makes you lose faith in the human race.

Roxie, I hope your job search is successful. And your unemployment claim approved.

Jody, sorry about all your car and A/C bills, major bummer

Ronne, i'm like mary, i typically don't send back mail order clothes. i think they are counting on that.

Murphy, keep up the w/o's, since I'm not!

Lisa-I haven't received my last paycheck from my employers yet and I asked if it had been mailed and haven't received and answer yet and my unemployment is going to require a phone call because they want to know the date of the incident that led me to quit and there wasn't and incident.

Roxie, not sure how KS unemployment works, but in CO it's hard to win a claim if you quit unless there was a reason. Then the claim goes to your old employer and they provide their side of the story. Unemployment then decides if you are approved or not, then either side can appeal, have a hearing, etc. Employers don't like to approve unemployment because it's money out of their pocket (they pay into it). Some give lots of grief over the claim....those are the unscrupulous employers.

Good Evening,

Tonite I did BS Bis & Tris I think I am finally back.

Lisa-thats the way it works here but if your husband is relocated thats one of the reasons the wife can get it if she had to quit her job that is the only reason if you quit. I know my employers will fight it thats just the way they are.

Roxie, so maybe then the date of the incident is the day your DH got relocated? Then I'm sure there is a place for you to explain the "incident".
I never knew that would qualify one for unemployment, but then I've never used the system ever until 2007.

Hi all

Roxie - good luck with the job hunt. Hope your old employer's get your money to you soon as well.

Lisa - yikes, I wouldn't take another of those things either.

Jody - do you like TB more now you've been doing Xtend?

Mary - yes, I've got to drag myself to the post office tomorrow to send the stuff back.

Today was BS CBS. I went a bit heavier on shoulders and it was fine. Got a tricky job off my desk for now so feeling accomplished!
Went to see Argo last night - they're reshowing it at local cinema. Thought it was good, quite an amazing story.
