Mary - Yes, we are renting a car. I'm expecting DH to drive. I've never driven on the other side of the road and am a bit nervous. DH has done it loads. You seriously hurt your wrist didn't you?!

Murphy - at least you did the walk!

Roxie - you sound like you're suffering in the heat.

Lisa - aah, back to sorting your hair out!!

Did Chest and Back from 4DS and then did no equipment abs from Ab Circuits. A bit easier than recent workouts!
 
Hi all! Today did TTM, wasn't too bad! Ronne, see I would be scared to drive on the other side of the road and the other side of the car! I fell ion FIL's driveway, I wasn't the only one! Three of us, DS and BIL. I think maybe he will do something about it now! The bricks are old and from being on the lakefront algae build up and they get slippy! It's ok tho, thank goodness no one got really hurt. Lisa, how are you feeling? Is DH starting his prep today? That is miserable! Roxie, did you sleep better last night? Murphy, what are you up to today? Jody, where are you? Have to clean today, pool and I think we are going to try EatNPark for dinner tonight. Have a good day! Mary
 
Woke up with serious right shoulder pain. I had planned on doing shoulder work but that is out. I will be doing lower body work again, probably another 3 miles. I do it outside and it is a bit humid. I made record time yesterday, let's see if I can do it again. ;-)

I didn't do a walk today, I started hurting yest afternoon. There is a spot right at the base of my neck about 2 inches down my back that is a big hump that hurts. The PA said it is just the muscles all bunched up. Muscle relaxers don't help that area, only percocet does (even though PA said I shouldn't need percocet, well, WRONG, I do!). then I grab an ice pack, to me the fact I grab ice means inflammation (ie. pissed off muscles still). So added a bit of percocet back (now back to 4 a day), I'm feeling better but not until after my shower that was late (close to noon). Tomorrow I will skip just so I'm not too tired before the PT so that whatever they do I can do with full energy.

Ronne, yep, getting the hair sorted out! Too bad it hurts too bad to style it but I'm washing it myself pretty good (it's the little things). DIL colored it today to try to lift my spirits. I don't like driving period, never mind what side of the road!

Mary, yes, DH starting the prep, will see how bad it is for him, poor guy. Tomorrow DIL is responsible for driving me to/from PT and DH to/from his procedure. I bet she is thinking what a pain we are :) naw, she's sweet.

Murphy, but just think if you DIDN't walk AND STILL ate the Cheesecake, it would have been a worse situation. As it is, you mitigated some damage. I need to go on damage control, when I get down, I eat, ice cream normally, I'm sick of ice cream (never thought I'd say that). Why do you think you have shoulder pain?

Roxie, this summer feels as hot as last!

Jody, come back to us! If I'm here, you have to be too, no matter what the grumpies or anything else. Truely a supportive group here for more than workouts!

I didn't work out again today we went to the lake and then we went into town to get some things.

Mary-the mirror is suppose to be big enough I can see him on whatever side of the boat he is skiing on. No I didn't sleep any better Restless Leg Syndrome.

Lisa-I have to agree with that.

Ronne-I think the heat is getting to me but its more the humidity. To funny about driving on the right side of the road.
 
Hey I'm here but I just finished step part of Intensity and throughout the afternoon I've been doing 1RM testing. I did a few 1RM Tues, too but no workout.

The other day I meant to say that i was just going to go fart around on the internet but instead I told dd that I was going to fart on the internet so now that is what I say much to her horror.

Nice to see everyone, Lisa you'll probably always be conscious of what you need to do to protect your neck. Best wishes to hubs tomorrow and hugs to dil for being helpful. Mary, I'm so sorry about your hand. Maybe just pressure cleaning drive would have saved you and the others? Wimbledon congrats to Andy and the Brits! I saw very little of it this year. Murphy sounds like you are enjoying an active lunch, yea! Roxie I bet you are enjoying the sunshine and outdoors. Will you all go all summer or will it get too hot? Ugh its late, nite yall.

Jody - I think 1RM counts as a workout anyway!

Roxie - I don't like humidity! Heat I can manage with but humidity kills me.

Lisa - it's quite handy that DS and DIL have moved in with you. I bet they're wondering what it's going to be like when you're both really old!! :p

Murphy - hope your shoulder's feeling better.

Mary - It definitely sounds like that driveway needs cleaning! You're obviously feeling OK tho if TTM wasn't too bad! Go you!

Did Plateau Buster 1 today. I liked it. Very simple. Used slightly lighter weights than KCM but felt well worked. Going to see The Bling Ring tonight.

Good Afternoon,

I spent the morning cleaning house so my workout was late. I did WK2 D2 of the trainers rotation, CK25 WK6 D2 and Shaun T Rockin Body Mark, Move & Groove.

Workout 2:
Russian Twist 30 reps (6lb med ball)
Toe Touches 30 reps (6lb med ball)
Walking Lunges 50 reps (hold ball over head)
Lunge Jumps 40 reps
Reverse Lunges 10 reps each leg no wts.
Repeat 3 times.

Mary-I got a good nights sleep last night it cooled down.

Lisa-how is everyone today?

Ronne-a little less humid here and not as hot.

Jody-heat doesn't stop us from going to the lake thats what the water is for we put on life jackets and jump out of the boat to cool off.
 
quick post. was at PT for 2 hrs, part of that was evaluation. They think shoulder problem is a different problem than original nerve compression (maybe I did soemthing when nerve was compressed that caused it?) Anyway, got a neck massage, ah! foam rollar exercises (it was quite an ordeal getting on that thing, hello, I just had neck surgery!) Some other stretches that seemed to stretch the chest, did that one stretch cathe does for biceps,where you have your arm stretched out fingers down....thought I was a pro at that until they said ot keep my shoulders down (they like to creep up now, probably because deep down I hurt). doorway stretch (goalpost stretch). Then they put me on adoyne (or something like that, can't find it in google), it sends heat deep in the muscle so they can repair. Oh, told me to wiggle and massage my ears around as that is linked to the muscle running down my neck that is tight and will help loosen it up. GO tomorrow again, will find the real name of the heat therapy they used unless someone here kknows. Must limit computer time...laters

Did a fantastic yoga session. Felt great after. It was deceptive, I didn't realise how hard I was working till I was resting.
Got an absolutely packed weekend. DH is out tonight with a friend and staying with him. So tomorrow I'm taking DD to a trampoline competition. Get back from that and they go to the school fair while I go to London to the theatre. Then on Sunday we're going to a friend's for a barbecue.
Won't be fitting any workouts in the middle of all that!
 
Good morning! Today did a barre w/o, wrist is feeling better, will be good for STS on Monday! Lisa, therapy almost sounds like a spa! How did DH do? Everything ok? Ronne, have fun this weekend! I did Athletic Training today forgot how tough it was I had to drop to 5lb wts and no risers my legs were shaking. I have really worked the core this week so I am hoping to see inches missing next week.

Mary-sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the movie. I was trying to catch up from not working out Wednesday.

Ronne-I am trying my best.

Mary, I'm trying to decide if I should start over w/ you on Mon cuz it would be fun to be on the exact same week. Or assume you will catch me since you are more consistent? I have liked the two discs I've done so far. I feel guilty for thinking STS was a grind. Ugh to movie, it must have been bad.

Roxie, I'm embracing the "less is more" philosophy lately and just aiming for 4-5 workouts a week so no catch ups for me. I'll let ya know if it turns out ok.

I am so proud of myself I ran for 25 minutes thought I was going to die but I did it, CK25 WK6 D3.

Jody-I just feel quilty if I miss a workout yesterday I was bored so I did 50 squats.
 
Jody, that philosophy works for me! even PT is telling me how we should be easier on our bodies as we age and to LISTEN to them :) The old term 'no pain no gain' is out. Wiggle ears with my fingers. Hubs inerds is fine :)

PT yesterday added a couple more stretches and exercises. 2 with a band, like lat pulls straight back (I think they do that in STS?), and external rotation. Then the massage, got a longer one on my neck, upper back. Felt good. They said they have the superficial muscles worked out but their are ones deep all the way down they will have to get to eventually. Then did the light therapy. I knew the massage would build up toxins and be sore, but OMG, even drinking a lot, the mother of all soreness, nothing helped. Poor granddog, knew I hurt and laid beside me letting me pet her. After mega heat all night long and muscle relaxers (went back to valiuum) it feels normal now (normal soreness). So went for 1.5 mile walk. Still need to do my foam rolling and PT exercises.

Roxie, what a great accomplishment!

Hellos to Mary, Murphy, Ronne, still need to limit my typing, tightens up my traps and those were the areas that hurt like hell-o yesterday!
 
Hi all! Today did Intensity, double HIIT &BC. It was hard! Lisa, glad DH is all good. How many time a week will you go to PT? Glad you are able to do some things, baby steps. Jody, I will start on Monday, did some pushups today, a little sore. Maybe I'll get a brace? Gosh, I sound like an old lady! Roxie, are you on the boat today? Hope the mirror does its job! I did a hodge podge of a workout tonight, mostly TTM. Roxie do you listen to music when you run? I find that motivates me on a run, either way, good job. Lisa I hope this philosophy works out for me. It seems intuitive that excess would not be a good thing but where to draw the line for excess.? Glad hubs is clear and your grand dog is keeping you company. My dtr wants to foster cats. IDK about that. Mary be careful with the push ups if you aren't ready! lol or just do them one handed, but you will be lopsided. ttyl.
I should have done aol last night- I think that was what I was looking for...

Good Morning,

No workout for me today we are headed to the lake again. Sometime during the night I woke up to horrible teeth pain I think I was clenching really hard a made all my bottom teeth hurt.

Jody-good job with your workout.

Mary-the mirror hasn't arrived yet.
