40's hot July thread

I channeled Lisa and did ab work today (stability ball work). I was supposed to do a HiiT workout, but my foot is bothering me and I don't want to push it. I may be in heels all day today - usually I am at a desk and can kick off my shoes.

Lisa - good luck with the bed/mattress.
Roxie - great job with the workouts.
Ronne - have fun!
Mary - sorry to hear about the weather. BTW, can I add my loads of wash to yours? DH is supposed to be "taking over managing the kids." They have had dinner late, gone to bed late, woke up late and the laundry is climbing up the wall. WTH! I told him to get it together or the kids will be under new management!
Jody - good job on those deadlifts. I only hope to get to 25's. BTW, a comedian once said that when you are dating, you are meeting the persons representative b/c everyone is nervous and/or on good behavior. That does seem true - like at a new job.

Good Morning,

Its foggy here this morning the rain is suppose to clear out. We got 5" of rain in a 2 hour period and it rained for most of the afternoon. Haven't decided what to do for a workout. I am finally going to get my tooth fixed next week. I chose Xtrain AOLIH for my workout think I am going to have to make this one a regular except the carpet is so humid my discs wouldn't slide.

Murphy-I like that new management.

Lisa-the trainers workout aren't boring its something new everytime I am just in a funk.

Hi all! Today did a premix from AT. Lisa, I to need to be bossed around! I would not get anything done if I had to follow a paper workout! I think Cathe can see me thru the tv, so I can't quit. The paper can't see me, so I would just walk away. That takes discipline Roxie, something I'm not very good with! Murphy, I was watching a bit of the work outs yesterday from the road trip, does Cathe ever get winded? She was just talking and laughing while running around, I was getting winded just watching! Please tell me she got at least a little short of breath! Regarding DH, no answers, but mine is the same way! When I worked the weekend shift in the spring, they ate out for ALL 6 meals I was gone! Lisa, hope you enjoy the new bed! Roxie, hope we don't get your rain! Sun out here today, hope it stays. Jody, where are you? What are you doing? Hi, I didn't workout yesterday (Mon). I've got red streak up my arm post blood work draw last Wed doc visit- physical for school. I thought pain was from working out even though it wasn't doms or bicep-y and/ but I saw the streaking today so I went into office and now have antibiotics waiting pick up. Mary, should I hold off on weight work? bbl after nap and improved mood I hope.

Ugh, looks worse today in that is inflamed at inner elbow. I hope I got this in time. Keflex TID x 500mg. Lisa it was venipuncture at doc office for physical and labs (geesh, cholesterol is 172 which I've been below 150 when I was eating properly.) I'm trying to remember if she swabbed it before sticking me? Doesn't matter anyway at this point.

did 1.12 mile walk turning head side to side (I'm sure I look ridiculous). PT stretches/exercises. I found a new way to put my body to get the trap on back near neck sore spot good on the foam roller.. that thing is becoming my best friend. my wimpy ab workout done too (if you think of any other w/o's where you don't lift your head, let me know, don't think there are many, hoping I can lift my head from lying position in a few weeks, geez. have to remember to take it slow though because otherwise muscles spasm and I do not like that! oh and LB stretch. Today was do what Lisa needs to do to get better day :) Maybe because I slept better last night, still glad we are getting the adjustable base (waiting for delivery as I type), I'm getting back pain when laying on right side if left leg isn't up on pillow.

Jody, eeeeek, uh, you just convinced me not to give blood. Hope nap helps, sometimes it's ok to be down, just got to make sure to pull yourself back up with your boot straps.

mary, we are a lot alike in our w/o habits. howmuch longer before school starts?

Murphy, I bet your ab form was better than mine :) seriously you all, try, just try to do something from laying flat and you can't even lift your head by itself at all. I don't want to use hands, afraid to pull too much on it. Massage lady was showing me which angle to have my head when laying down to do my turns from side to side, she was putting washclothes under my head to show me how much up/forwrad she wanted it. every washcloth I'd lay there and say, I wish I could lift my head for you so you didn't have to lift it for me. that's a helpless feeling
 
Where is everybody? Just got back from a walk with the dog 1.35 miles when a bit further because I had to take her poop back to the trash can and then we went a different way. Will do my physical therapy exercises later. And out to lunch with DH for sushi YUM. All this posted with my new Samsung Galaxy 4
 
Good morning! Today did disc 8, YAY! Only one set of push ups! Jody, I think I would wait to lift until the redness dissipates. I'm sorry that happened to you. The keflex should kick in in a day or two. So frustrating. Lisa, you are getting some good walks in! I'm sure the dog is in heaven! Enjoy your sushi! Roxie, how are you torturing yourself today? I tortured myself with KCM's Body Shop 2 workout its a good one I can only do 8lbs with these workouts. We finally were able to go back to the lake today but its suppose to rain again this weekend.

Mary-you are funny it does feel like torture.

I did Athletic Step, first time for this one despite the fact that I've downloaded it twice and also eventually bought the dvd. I'll hold off on STS for a few more days. I'm due to do disc 10 so you will catch up with me Mary! Roxie, how is your tan these days w/ the boat outings? Lisa, walk with pooch sounded nice. Glad to know you are a responsible pooper scooper. Murphy, deadlifts I can go heavy (my 1rm was 105 pounds?) but I hate holding any wt during lunges so i'm imbalanced?

ps Lisa did you get a new cell? I have the SG3, I've enjoyed it.

The lake was beautiful today a slight breeze and only 86 it was really humid but other then that it felt nice.

Lisa-I have the SG3 and I am still trying to figure it out after a year.

Jody-tan is doing great DH didn't ski wants to wait until they take the stitches out.
 
Yes got new cell. Can't seem to stop spending money on things. Must be a way to make myself feel better? After lunch felt tired so went to bed to relax massage and read and what do you think 2 hours later I woke up so now I'm up early this morning. My back hurts a little bit I sure hope I can get this back thing worked out I'm worryin at the disc down there. Don't know whether to mention it to pt or wait until I see the NS on the 19th. Not sure PT would give me any exercises / stretches other than what I'm doing

Jodie how is your balance otherwise.? I need to stick with my fairy in that last is more. What I mean is I tried to do a plank on my elbows supporting my head and my left trap just totally spasms up on me so I don't think heavy weights are in my future anytime soon if I ever. Not worth the pain so I guess I'm officially say I'm gone for that long lean look. haha

Hi all. Did disc 8 yesterday and double wave pyramid today. The HiiT was not too bad. I focused on the fact that it is only 30 minutes long. I did have to sub the mountain climbers b/c of my toe issue (no cartilage in the joints, bone rubbing on bone) and modify the lunges, but otherwise I did it all. Feel good about that!

Mary - I am with you, if the paper is not yelling at me I am walking away or using it as a coaster. Oh, Cathe did get a bit winded during the road trip, but not much. She is like a kid with energy to spare. It is crazy.
Jody - feel better soon.
Roxie - great job with those workouts.
Lisa - I am glad you are getting exercise in and I am glad the PT is helping.

1.86 miles. Back felt better after I stretched it a bit so was duch a nice morning we went further. Found some ideas for core exercises to restrengthrn my back while not involving the neck. Why didn't I think to put a pillow behind my neck vs it laying on the hard floor? Pt later today so we'll just concentrate on stretches and core strengthening

We need and August thread. I did intervals on the TM per trainer rotation. I wanted to stop half way through but pushed myself to keep going.

Treadmill:
10 min warmup
4.5 for 1 min
3.0 1 min
5.0 1 min
3.0 1 min
5.5 1 min
3.0 1 min
6.0 1 min
3.01 min
Repeat 5 times not including the warmup came out at 56 mins 3.54 miles 398 cals burned.

You mean its august already? Good job on sticking to it roxie. Maybe next person that post can start the August thread?
 
Hi all! Today did Tabatacize, hard, but fun. Roxie, I can't believe it's August all ready! The kids go back to school in 3 weeks! Kind of sad about that, but excited to have some alone time! That trainer didn't like you very much, did she? Those workouts seem so painful! Lol! Lisa, maybe PT will have some ideas to tell you what exercises would work best, my Friend has the Samsung phone, it looks like fun. I have an iPhone, I'm kind of boring! Jody, how are you feeling? Is it easing up at all? How was AS? I have never tried it! Murphy, your poor feet. Can they do anything? Ronne, will be gone for 3 weeks! I ope they are having a ball. Not much else here.
