4:30AM - I DID IT!

I got up at 4:30am, had my cup of coffee and did a 30 minute workout. YIPPEE!!!!! I have to confess, though, I did WATP because I figured for my first early morning workout I wanted to start slow and work my way to Cathe. I'm not sure my body could handle a Cathe workout at 4:30am right away, but rest assured I will get her in soon.

I'm SOOOO energized and ready for the day, this is definitely the ticket for me. I hope I can continue to keep this motivated for early morning workouts.

Thanks to all of you for your comments to my posting yesterday they all helped. AND, I thought of all of you when my alarm went off this morning. I turned it off and thought there are other people up or getting ready to get up for their workout so I can get my butt out of bed, too.

Thanks for the added motivation that I needed for this.

cONGRATS on getting up and getting it done. You'll find your grove. Mines is certainly not at 4:30AM that is. LOL.
 
Congrats! I use to love morning workouts so much! After I finished working out I didn't even feel like I needed a coffee.(which is my life line)
I just started a new job so I am hoping that I can fit in a quick workout in the mornings.I did this week.I got up at 6 and ran for 30 min.Then I workout again in the night time.
I think you make better decisions when you start your day off right.I am more careful over my food choices when I workout in the a.m
You'll be sleepy later.......or maybe not:)

Yay! Congratulations! When I started working out in the mornings after night workouts, I started with less intense ones, too. It doesn't take long at all to get used to it and be able to get back to your usual intensity or to the intensity that you want to be working out at! GOOD JOB!

Good for you Marcia! I too have coffee before I workout ~ I have TWO big mugs. YUM. Even though I've been getting up early for years, there are days it can be tough. Last night I got to bed late, and then had funny dreams (I'd wake myself up from laughing:+ ) and somehow made it through KM this morning.

i am in awe of you all...i would never be able to make it thru WATP at that hour!!! in theory, i would love to be an am exerciser, but in reality, my internal clock says NO!!! lol.i would have to guzzle a 2 liter of diet dew before doing a cathe w/o at 5-6am!!!! GREAT job!!

Great Job for getting up - I was right there with you - My alarm goes off at 4am and I am downstairs no later than 4:15am working out. I will do Cathe and it did take time to work up to but your on your way - just think about the rest of us working out with you : )

thank you. Everyone does not realize everyone does not know about/have all the DVD's, 'm going to keep on asking cause it takes just as long to write a note and say what you did as it does to think of the correct abbreviations. Dat don't make ya cool ya kno??*
 
Good for you!!!!:) :) I was also up at 4:30 this morning, but I am in mountain time, so you were probably done working out before I got up!!! What I have found happening since I have been getting up early to workout is that I feel better during the day, I get very tired at about 8:30-9pm, I sleep great, and my body is telling me to get up shortly after 4am. Of course I still rely on my alarm to get out of bed, but I start waking up and looking at the clock at about 4, so that when the alarm does go off, I am ready to get up!! It's really a great feeling once you get used to it.:7 :7 :7 Keep up the good work!!
 
Good for you Marcia. (I am not being sarcastic) I wish I could do the same, but the only thing I would rather do at 4:30 AM is shrivel up & die. So again, felicitations!

LOL! Just try to take me on at 8:00 PM though! I'll send you back to grade school. LOL! Just funnin' with you!

Some days I arise at 4:30 A.M. to work out. My scheduale is so varied.
Your determination is incredible.
Remember to "Focus" on the goal if your tired and the alarm has gone off.

Congratulations!! Give yourself a pat on the back! I often times get up between 4:30-5:00. Once you get use to it you'll just wake up at that time sometimes without an alarm. Keep up the good work!

Hi LoriHart! I also agree that I eat better when I workout in the morning. It makes me think of how hard I worked so early and that I don't want to ruin it all with something like a big fat white bagel :p

Speaking of working out......I have no choice but to workout in the early a.m. tomorrow. I have to take my kids to school, get myself ready, drive 40 minutes to work and get there by 8:00 for a meeting - uggghhh! Looks like it will be 5:00 for me! :)
