32nd time doing Circuit Max

Yesterday I did Circuit Max for the 32nd time. I forgot how much fun I have doing this workout. It was like getting together with a dear friend that you haven't seen in a long time. I love so many of the moves in this workout. I find I only do this workout every 5 months or so because I don't like knowing what's coming next.
One big change I've noticed is how my arms get no workout from Circuit Max now. Those 8 lb weights used to destroy me and now I'm laughing during the compound weight segments. I try to go heavier where I can but the speed of the reps makes it difficult.

I haven't done Circuit Max in a while. I remember when I got it, years ago, I was not ready for it and I couldn't even use the weights!

The last time I did this one, I went light. Now I think I'll do this one in the near future to see how heavy I can go now.

Ahhhhh, another Circuit Max addict.

For a little variety, try this . . . well, variation of Circuit Max the next time you break it out:

Instead of compound upper/lower body drills as produced, get your barbell handy and load it up with the heaviest weightload you can safely hike over your shoulders 6 times. Then, perform the workout with barbell squats, plie squats and lunges only, rather than the compound stuff. I promise you you will rediscover the cardio and leg training benefits of this workout in a whole new way.

After the 6th full cardio / resistance cycle, put in the Boot Camp upper body only premix if you still want upper body training as well.

Another alternative (my own favorite) is, after the 6th full cardio / resistance cycle, to go immediately to the Cardio Kicks power drills segment, bang that out, and then execute 16 barbell squats, 16 barbell plie squats, and then 16 lunges per leg.

Keep your cold water and a towel handy - that one's a real sweatfest.

Aquajock I'm definitely going to gave to try the variation you recommended. I'm presently doing the Rock Bottoms rotation so Canada Day should be a good day to try it. Thanks!
