3 things that made you smile...

Bless you Amy Steppe and TXGin!! Definitely worth making all of us smile! Keep up that ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE!! You gals are awesome!!

1. My almost 2 year old said I love you for the first time.

2. My 3 year old's laugh.

3. It is going to be warm this weekend and I have 4 days off!!!!!

Great thread.

What a great thread!
1) Finding out my Step-son was accepted at UNC Chapel Hill
2) Leaving work yesterday and getting to drive home with the top down!
3) Finding out it's going to be almost 90 this weekend and we are going to water ski!
4) Reading all of the posts in this thread :D

1 My kids and husband having fart contests.

2 I just saw Run Fat Boy Run

3 Chocolate bunnies

4 My super crazed puppy on his back wanting a scratch on his tummy

Farthing Contests? How funny! I used to try to light my husband's farts. We always ended up cracking up.

It is the simplest things that make life so great!

My 3 sons:
- 25 year old called to say he checked out the cost of flights from NY to SC because he
wanted to offer to pay so I could come see him this summer.
- 23 year old thanked me for raising him to be more responsible than the two lazy
roomates he's sharing a house with.
- 19 year old called from the Marines just to let me know he's OK and he loves us.
For an empty nest Mom this made my MONTH!

1. Finding the recipe for fake sushi to make for my boys for tonight's April Fools meal. (It's actually rice crispy treats wrapped in fruit roll-ups :))
2. Watching the mailman plow into the neighbors trash can this morning as he rounded the bend. (Don't ask me why, but it was HILARIOUS.)
3. Setting out all the ingredients for hot cross buns that we'll make tonight for Good Friday breakfast. :)

And, Liann, you're sweet thread always make me smile!! :)

LOVE this thread!! Thanks Liann! :)

1. Watching DH get up and around this morning. He started P90X on Monday and he's so sore! I'm not laughing at him..it just makes me smile to hear him moaning and groaning! :p;)

2. Watching my crazy puppy dogs Tanner and Tucker running around the house with their new stuffy toys I brought home for them today! :)

3. Getting a phone call from my best friend of over 20 years! I love her to pieces!! :)

Have a wonderful blessed Easter holiday Cathe friends! :)

1. Being told in a spontaneous moment of glee by one of my kindergarten students, "You're the best teacher ever!" or "This is the best day ever!" or "I love this day!"

2. Keeping up with my sister and nephews on FaceBook. For example, my 11 year old, totally geeky, innocent, lovable, adorable nephew proclaiming with a huge grin on his face, "I'm so happy that I'm me!"

3. Being home this week on spring break with perfect weather, windows open, hearing the birds singing, leisurely mornings of coffee, waking up late, plenty of time to get "stuff" done....a week to step back, slow down, and just enjoy some peaceful moments.

1. Waking up to see my black lab Maggie's head on my pillow next to mine. She was totally spread-eagle, and slowly turned her head to look me in the eye as if to say "This is the life, isn't it?"

2. Letting a guy pull into traffic ahead of me, and having him not just wave, but also look me in the eye and give me a really big smile.

3. Hearing my employee, who was taking an order from a gentleman whose English was not so good, repeat the spelling of his name back to him, ending with "Y" as in "you". Poor guy -- he had to be thinking "Y" as in "U"??? I'm dying over this! Now I can add it to my list of ways to mess with people on the phone: "G" as in "gnome", "K" as in "knight", "P" as in psoriasis, "X" as in "xylophone" ...

BTW, great idea for a thread! :)
