2011 NEW YEARS STS CHALLENGERS: WEEK OF 2/27

Good Morning.

I didn't sleep well last night so I am going to be very tired and cranky today. :( Booh.

Work out report:: LBB w/u, cardio blast 1, disc exercise 1, cardio blast 2, disc exercise 2, cardio blast 3, band work, all 3 cardio blasts, prone hamstring work wearing 1# ankle weights, all 3 cardio blasts, all standing leg conditioning drills, HR abs, 1 min side planks, stretch. :D

Kristin:: Enjoy working legs today! I hope you enjoy M3. Can't wait to hear about it. It's meso I am iffy on. I DO want to do plyo legs though! :D If I were to have a 2nd child I would take one year off as you did and then go back to work. It was nice to be able to stay home all that time and I could have stayed home even longer but it wasn't for me. I wasn't happy nor effective as a SAHM for that long. :(

Sherry:: Bi's are my weakest link so to speak so ANYTHING Cathe does with them is really hard for me. Love the pump though! :D

Hi everyone. So I am feeling really tired again today, but I managed to do D23 legs, the last of the tri-sets. For deadlifts I lifted a 65# BB plus weighted gloves. What is up with being so tired? At least tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

Wendy- hope you get some good sleep tonight :). I am so tired myself, even with going to bed early last night. LBB, now tha tis one I have to get :)

Night all,
Kristin

Hi ladies!

I did get in some cardio today, Hiit 40/20. It worked me hard in the time I had available, which was about 30 minutes (DD had a volleyball game after school, then catechism this evening - mom's shuttle service - while DS monopolized the computer for a school paper). 3 more discs in Meso 2. I hope Meso 3 is as much fun.

Wendy - did you make it through the day?

Kristin - 65#'s? And you were tired? Wow!

Heading to bed now. Looking forward to Friday.

Good Morning.

Today's work out was S90's Tabata Inferno. It whooped my azz good. I lurve that work out! :D

Leaving work an hour early today. Going to my first hockey game w/my DH, my BFF and her fiancee. They've all been. I'm the only virgin and I'm askeered!

Kristin:: Perhaps lifting the heavier weights is what's making you tired?

Sherry:: Good work out. Hiit 40/20 is the toughest of the 3 for sure! Yeah, I made it through the day but barely...I got home, had a glass of sangria, ate a snack (no dinner) and went to bed. I was beat up good! Slept better last night TG because otherwise I'd never make it through the night tonight!

Evening everyone. I just finished Intensity, step plus HI Hiit premix and med ball abs. I have D24 in store for tomorrow, and then Meso 2 is done. I am so looking forward to the rest week, because I have felt exhausted the last few days. I think it is a combo of STS(Wendy, I think you are right), not eating right and TOTM mixed together. I will def be cleaning up my eating in Meso 3.

Wendy- I've only been to one pro hockey game in my life, but it was exciting. It is a great game, but I found myself going oooo a lot when someone slammed into a wall.

Sherry- yea, one more week to go ;)

Good night all,

Kristin

I did D11 (pull ups done with the tower! YAY!) and BM2 Abs today. :) No time for cardio by the time I did my work out but I am definitely going to get some in later today!

Be back at a reasonable hour for personals!:p

Hi all!

Sorry I've been MIA. I haven't felt good the past couple of days, afraid I was coming down with something, and had absolutely no energy. Still not sure about today, so we'll see how it goes. Might be able to get something light in by the end of the day - like maybe a stretch and abs. I have one more week of Meso 2 before I rest. Looks like it got scheduled the other way around; I haven't lifted since last weekend.

Hope everyone is well. I'll need to catch up on the past couple of days.

Disappointing day today. Had no energy today. Slept late, took 2 naps and still didn't have the energy (or the time by the time I got my arse in gear) to do D12(legs) so I pulled out S90's Cardio Challenge and did that instead. It gave me cardio/abs in a nice neat little pkg. Legs have been rescheduled to tmrw morning. I hope I am more energetic then I was today!!!

Gotta get ready to head to FIL's for dinner and to pick my son up!

Be back in the morning!

Morning all. Happy Monday. Yesterday was a rest day for me. My DH is going to be gone for most of the week for work, so we decided to make it a family-do-nothing-but-play day. It was fun. I have major DOMS in my lats from the last disc. I never get lat DOMS, but I think those heavy pullovers did the trick ;). Hoping ot get in a short cardio workout today and ab work. We shall see. . .

Kristin

Good Morning.

Well, atleast I got D12 done today! Plus some abs from BBC. Good stuff but I would have liked to be able to do cardio too. Just no time for all of it during the week. I wish I wasn't so lazy y'day...:eek:

Tomorrow was supposed to be my rest day but I'm gonna need some cardio to loosen up the legs I think so I will probably opt for a rest on Wednesday instead now.

So tell me ladies...how does the DOMS factor for D12 compare to D9? After D9, I am askeered!

Kristin:: Hope you get a work out in today. That was a great idea to play all day long since DH was going out of town this week. What kind of stuff did you do?

Good morning?

Stomach bug finally won, so I'm home from work today. No workout, just rest. Eating a delicious popsicle right now.

Kristin - No, I really don't get lat DOMS either. Will be interesting to see if I do. Love those family play days. Well do them, too, when we find a weekend day with nothing on the schedule (rare so need to be cherished!)

Wendy - yes, you will need some cardio to loosen up the legs. nothing wrong with moving the rest day. If I remember, D9 was a tearjerker, and none of the others have been as bad.

Off for more rest.

Sherry,

OH NO! Sorry you are sick! I have been living in fear of the stomach bug/flu that's been going around my area lately! Hope you feel better soon! No lat DOMS huh? That's where I get DOMS in my back if I get it! I love some good lat DOMS. Makes rolling over in bed painful but it's worth it! :) Yay re D12 not being as bad as 9! I like DOMS but there IS a limit to how much pain I ENJOY! ;):D

Hi All!

Sorry that I've been MIA for a while. My dad was admitted to the hospital, so I was dealing with all that. He is home now, but still not feeling well.

Today, I did Disc 13. I absolutely loved it. Trisets have me shaking though. LOL

Tomorrow is MMA Boxing.

FitMommy - I have never done the 6-1/2 month rotation. I want to try it sometime, but I'm afraid I would burn out.

Kristin - I did Step Moves and MMA Boxing with the heavy bag.

Sherry - Get well soon!

Welcome Rhonda!

Have a good evening, everyone!

JonStephMom:: Prayers and healing vibes to your dad!!!! IKWYM re: the 6 month rotation. TRUST ME! The first time I tried STS it was the 3 month rotation. I quit after 3 weeks for reasons that are an entire other topic for another day! :p Anyway, when I finally came back around to trying STS again I decided to go for the gusto and do the loooong one. I figure if I can get through this, I can get through ANY rotation! :D I am the queen of "exercise ADD" so it'll be a HUGE accomplishment if I can do it! :p I am close to Meso 2 now. I can't wait to get started! Glad you enjoyed it!

This morning's work out was Cardio Combat Surge by Kimberly Spreen. Fun stuff. :D

My legs are doing fine today. Only minimal soreness! I wonder what that's all about!? I know...I know...some people are never happy, right? :p LOL

Hey all,

Sorry I have been MIA. IT has been a bit crazy over here. Thank God that this happens to be my rest week from Meso 2. It was a blessing in many ways.

I have survived the first 24 hours of Dh being gone, but not without incident. this morning I dropped off my younger son at daycare, to make it easier for my sister who was taking Nikolas, my older one, to the bus stop. Well, because DH normally does the drop off, DS did not understand that I was taking him to daycare, even though I said it over and over again the last two days to prepare him. He asked me to take him to my work. He started crying, I started crying (wimp that I am). It was not a nice experience. Thank God, DH normally does the drop off normally. I could not handle that every day. then again, My little guy would probably not act like that every day. Anyway, fast forward through work, faculty meeting where the million dollar question is what is being cut next year, and no one knows for sure. . . Get home, have dinner, Chris says he has to use the potty. Put him on, he does a little pee-pee, everything is cool, except I need to get him a new pullup. Come back the bathroom door is closed, Chris is gagging, I open the door and there is poop all over the floor. you read that right! I am gagging, Chris is gagging, Nikolas comes to check out what is going on, he starts gagging.

Needless to say, it's been an adventure today. Now, of course, this sh*t (pardon the pun) does not happen when DH is home. . . not ever!!!!!

No workout yesterday, but today I did a yoga dvd. A friend of mine gave it to me. It is with Bethenny Frankel. Being that I have only done yoga twice before, I am no yo-gi to go by, but I thought it was good. I really like Bethenny though.

I will bb tomorrow to catch up on personals. I am sooooo beat!

Kristin

Hi all!

Well, made it to work today and that was enough. Need to get my energy back, which will come when I start eating again. Ginger Ale and crackers just aren't a high energy diet.

LaDonna - Sending healing vibes to your dad. Keep to your workouts to help you through.

Wendy - Wait and see if you get 2nd day DOMS in the legs . . .

Kristin - OMG! At least the day is over. I have a feeling that yoga helped put you in a good place this evening. Here's to a better day tomorrow!

Hope everyone else is doing ok, too! See you all tomorrow!

Kristin:: LOL re your poop story! My son pooped on the living room rug once when he was potty training! :p

Sherry:: You will get there! Glad you are starting to feel better! I have a friend who's been sick since Friday. Went to the doc sat, got meds and is STILL hurtin' pretty bad. He's going back to the doc tmrw. Hopefully they can get him on the path to recovery now!

Today was my rest day. Tmrw's plan is Disc 10.

Hope everyone has a great day!:)

Hi All!

Today was Disc 14. I was really dreading the trisets, but was amazed at how time flew. I don't ever recall that before. I am also experiencing DOMS from Disc 13. Tomorrow is Athletic Step and Weigh-and-Plate Abs.

Thank you for all the well wishes. My dad has good days and bad days. He has CJD (human form of mad cow disease), so his memory is not very good. Well, it's gotten a whole lot worse now. He didn't have a lot of chest pain yesterday, but it's back today.

Sherry - Yea! I am glad you are feeling better.

Kristin - Hang in there. I'm thinking of you.

Back to homeschool. Take care, everyone!
