Good Evening Ladies!

Where did the weekend go? It flew by! I feel like I didn't stop moving this weekend! WOW. I am exhuasted! :eek:

Today's work out was 1/2 of 6w6p w/o #2, Disc 9 Legs omitting conditioning drills and KCM kickboxing kicking premix. Great work out! :D

This afternoon I went shopping with my mom for a few hours kid free. It was AWESOME! ;)

I'll be back in the morning...just wanted to get us started for the new week.

Hi there, everyone!!
I am officially on active rest week, after completing meso 1! The last leg disc was killer!! Upping the weights to 70% really made a difference!! I have been doing cardio and yoga. Meso 2 starts Wed.!!!
Wendy: Once again great w/o mix!!! I love KCM kb! Lots of fun!!! Oh, and I totally understand the joy of kid free shopping! I have an 8 y/o daughter! Its fun to shop with her, but I need a break now and then, too! How old is/are your kid(s)?

Morning.

I left out the word GOOD on purpose. I woke up at midnight and then couldn't fall back to sleep for damn near 2 hours. :rolleyes: I'm not happy right now. I slept in a bit which forced me to skip my w/o and I'm still very tired. :(

On the bright (or not so bright depending on how you look at it!LOL) side, I have some RAGING DOMS in my glutes and hamstrings from Disc 9. OMG! When I woke up at midnight I could already feel it and it's only gotten worse since then! :eek:

Nancy:: Enjoy your recovery week!! My son is 5 1/2. I only have one child. He is fine to shop with when it's not going to be for hours but I knew we'd be gone a while so I happily left him home with daddy for the afternoon. Felt a little bad that he missed out on getting to see his grandma but it's not like he never sees her.

Have a better day then I'm going to have everyone! :p
 
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Dh an dI have nothing special planned for today, we really celebrated over the weekend.

Wendy- I too, did not sleep well. I think I had too much caffeine. I usually don't drink any soda, but yesterday, during dinner and later I had two glasses of diet pepsi. I was tossing and turning until 1 :mad:. It is my own fault, I know. Awesome job on getting DOMS BTW, ;). I also have a 51/2 year old! His name is Nikolas. I have a 2 1/2 year old as well, Christopher. I call them my wise guys, because that is exactly what they are, lol.

Nancy- enjoy your recovery week. When I got to the recovery week, I soooo needed it.

Tonight I will be doing disc 16!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! DH and I went out to dinner on Saturday night to celebrate since tonight DD has dance and DS has a basketball game.

I did Disc 7 today. I can't believe all the push-ups there were in this workout. They give my chest a good burn.

Tomorrow, I'm going to do Core Cardio Circuit another good burner.

Sorry I was MIA over the weekend - deluged by GS cookies! Did finally get in D15 last night - back and biceps not doing too bad today. I am liking Meso 2 more than Meso 1 - prefer the heavier weights. Not sure if I'll do D16 tonight, or wait an extra day before working the other half of UB. Might do some cardio instead.

Nancy - Enjoy your rest week; you definitely earned it!

Wendy - Yes, butt doms like you've never had them before (or at least in a very long while!)

Kristin - I'm noticing that chest DOMS aren't as bad with weights as opposed to push-ups. Do you notice the same thing?

LaDonna - Yes, Meso 1 has so many push-ups, you can't help but get a good burn.

No big plans (that I know of) for the evening. Would love a relaxing night at home! Have a great day!
 
Ok, so finished disc 16. Some of the weights that the workout card had listed did not work for me. I had to lower my weight for the barbell front press (it listed 30 #, I went down to 25 #) and my arms were still shaking. Yet, for others, I was fine. I did 12 # for the one arm kickbacks and was able to do all the reps. Weird, huh?

Sherry- last week I had pec and shoulder DOMS for three days after disc 13, lol. My arms were fried!

BB tomorrow.

Sorry I was MIA y'day. Unscheduled rest day due to lack of sleep. :(

My lower body is still all fired up from Disc 9 but hopefully I worked out some of the kinks this morning with Cardio Kicks. That work out sure is an oldie but a goody! Kicked my azz! The front kicks KILLED me for the first 20ish mins of the work out until my legs got super warmed up. I thought I might cry! :eek: I added standing oblique work from Criss Cross Abs on at the end. Good stuff. :)

Kristin:: The 1RM's I did back when I made my first attempt at STS were 99% too heavy. This, I believe, was part of the reason I quit after 3 weeks. It was totally working against me. That being said, I'm not surprised if you get one here and there that's too heavy for you. You are still much better off then I was! :confused:

Sherry:: TG I don't have a daughter. Having all of those boxes of cookies in my house would kill me! :eek: LOL

Jonstephmom:: I do disc 7 for the second time tmrw. There sure is a lot of push ups in that one! Cathe is crazy! ;) CCC is a butt whooper! Enjoy! heheh

Anyone hear from Fit44 (Cynthia)?? I think maybe she ditched us for another check in!:p

ETA:: I just realized that Cendrine has been MIA as well. Maybe her and Cynthia are in cahoots! ;) LOL

Hi all!

Another rest day due to lack of time. Seriously. Being mom's shuttle service can be rough (pick up from volley ball, deliver cookies, go to grocery store, take to and from scouts, etc.). Can't wait to hit the weights tomorrow.

No - not planning on the road trips. Waiting for Chicago.

Gotta go get some rest to get ready for tomorrow. See ya then!
 
hi all! Quick fly-by check in for me. I will bbl later. Last night I did Intensity and then yoga-inspired abs. Today is disc 17- legs . Cannot wait to feel the DOMS again, lol.

Wendy- Where did they go? LOL (At fit 44 and Cendrine).

I am hoping to get in on the NJ RT. I am just nervous about making the registration.

Morning Girls.

Woke up with some pretty nice shoulder DOMS from doing Cardio Kicks with weighted gloves y'day! :) It, however, made me nervous about taking on Disc 7 today. I did it though and even upped my weights in a lot of exercises! ;) I am a happy girl! :D I am no longer sore...now I am just plain ol' NUMB! :eek: LMBO! No abs today. Had to skip them because I got a bit of a late start. No big deal.

Sherry:: Go Go Go! :D You are a good mom! :)

Kristin:: Oh gosh please don't mention leg DOMS in my presence! LOL My legs are STILL SORE! :eek::eek::eek:

I did Disc 8 today. Loved every minute of it. Tomorrow is MMA Fusion. Yesterday was Cardio Core Circuit. Yes, it was tough. I feel like I conquered the world when I've finished.

Kristin - I hope you get to go on the road trip. I have always wanted to do that.

I went on a roadtrip in 2008. It was fun but exhausting. I don't know if I would have the energy to do it again. :eek:
 
Disc 17 done!!!! My legs were shaking boy.

I got teh best compliment ever today and thought I would share. My friend's student teacher sat in on a department meeting with us last week. It was hot in the room, so took my sweater off and had a short-sleeve blouse on underneath. Well, the student teacher came up to me today and said, "I have to tell you, your arms look amazing. Do you do pilates?" :eek:STS is working!!! I told her about Cathe and STS and I was glowing for the rest of the day. Now I think I am ready for those 35 # barbell curls on Friday, lol.

Wendy- LOL @ being numb. How many more weeks do you have with Meso 1 in the 6 month rotation? I think I am going to do the 6 month rotation next round.

JohnStephMom- CCC is such a tough one. I have to mentally prepare for it. I am always happy when it is over! LOL!

Wendy - Trying to keep the kids active and stay involved in their activities, but sometimes it all comes at once! Planning to have some DOMS tomorrow!

Kristin - I was wondering if that was you who posted in Cathletes. Awesome compliment! Keep up the work. The other day you mentioned needing to adjust the weight. I really had to for D16. The weight was just too heavy for some of the exercises. But, we're getting there, right? No RT for me yet - still waiting for Chicago.

It's been a rough week here; sorry to be MIA. I took a few rest days but was able to start up with Meso 3 this week. I opted for Plyo Legs today and loved it. I am feeling sore already so I think I might just stick with those.

Hope to catch up tomorrow!

Sherry, it was hard, wasn't it. I struggled most with the tricep leaning side extensions and the BB front press. At least we got it done. There's always the next round next week. :D

Julie- plyo legs scares me, lol. I am loving the tri-sets in meso 2!

Morning Ladies.

My legs are going to be like RE-FRIED beans tmrw morning because I did it to em AGAIN this morning! Supreme 90 Legs! WOWOWOW!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek: Followed that up with about 20+ minutes of Step Blast and that was all the energy I had but that's okay cause I was out of time anyway. I didn't have to add on abs b/c they are included in the leg work and a tough set at that!

Kristin:: Love the compliment!:) Giggled at her thinking you got the arms from pilates mostly because pilates is more of an abs and lower body focused practice. I could see her saying yoga maybe, but not pilates. Did her face look like this---> :eek: or perhaps like this ---> :confused: after you got done telling her about Cathe? :D

Julie:: A few months back I did a Plyo Legs work out just to see what it was like. YEOWZAS! 10# DB's is all I used and aye carrumba! :eek: Enjoy it! Heheh

Sherry:: It's only sick to those who don't exercise with Cathe. To us it's completely normal! LOL

Hi Ladies,

I didn't want to drop the check-in without an explanation (even though I haven't been good at it for the last week or so:eek:). I have been diagnosed with breast cancer and will be having surgery coming up very soon. I'm hoping to keep up with the discs as long as possible, but there is so much going on in my life right now that it's been too difficult to keep up with checking in.

They will know more after surgery, but it's looking like they caught it early so that's a very good sign! I hope to catch up on the next round of STS! I hope you all enjoy the rest of the program and get great results.:)

Hi all!

First of all, JULIE, I'm so sorry. (((HUGS))) I can't even imagine. I'll keep you in my prayers.

It's 9:45. Finally taking a breath. Thinking that I should just go to bed and maybe do tomorrow. Have upper body DOMS in all muscles worked yesterday - pecs, shoulders, tris. Really, tris? Don't usually get those. Didn't get in a workout, but did get rid of the old couch and loveseat! It's amazing how much more space we have with them gone, even with all the cookies!

Signed up for a co. vs. co. weight loss competition. Figured that might help me get a bit more focused if I'm accountable. It starts next week and runs to the end of April - just in time for summer.

Wendy - are all the workouts that short? Maybe I should look into it. (thanks, enabler) And just how could you do another leg wo anyway?

Kristin - Last set of all exercises about did me in, even with the lower weight. Last couple of reps were shaking like crazy!

Think I'm going to hit the sack. See you tomorrow.
