17 YEARS OF SOBRIETY!

Congratulations Annette and thanks for sharing your joy with us :)
My Dad made a similar choice many years ago and began to live one day at a time. It is only now as an adult that I can appreciate the tremendous courage that it takes an individual to make such a choice. My most treasured memento from my late Dad is his one year medallion.

Thanks for your spirit, your humour, your compassion and for unabashedly being YOU!!:)

Take Care

Congrats Aquajock! I am so happy for you and for all of us, since without you making it here we would be missing out on so much!!! Your comments are so insightful, witty and inspiring, and I'm always looking forward to reading them on this forum. And I've learnt a lot from them, too ;))!!! Thanks for that also!

Enjoy!

Wow - congratulations on your continued triumph over such a horrible disease. My DH just passed the one-year mark and I know what a struggle that was. 17 years is just amazing!

All the best.

Shopgirl :)

Aqua Jock,

That's wonderful!!!! I also want to congratulate you on 17 years of health!!!! I agree with the others here, I don't know what I'd do without you answering our questions and might I add with GREAT WISDOM. I really rely on your fitness advice to make good choices in my life. Thank you for all you've done for us.!!!

Here's to Aquajock, CONGRATULATION FROM TENNESSEE!!!!

Boy, we were just celebrating your birthday...but you know what....birthdays have a way to just happening. THIS is an achievement that you've MADE happen. Thanks for inspiring us all to change areas of our life for the better.

And thanks for posting this anniversary.

Briee

Briee-Briee - I think I planned it this way: makes it easier to remember. We "women of a certain scalp shape" need these little memory tricks.

Thanks to all of you for your continued well wishes, especially those who have had to struggle with the alcoholism of a loved one. Let's keep fightin' the good fight . . .

Congratulations!! There are not many alcoholics who can say what you have. I see a lot of alcoholism in my professional life and rarely see a success story. This is nice to here. Thanks for sharing.:)

Annette, I am so proud of you. I always look forward to your posts
because you alway seem to know what you are talking about when we need advice. You just know what to say everytime. You seem like a very smart person. Well heres to another year of health and fitness. BTW Happy Birthday!!

Congrats! I am amazed that someone can be as strong and determined as you are. I am sure it is a daily battle. I truly admire you and what you have done!

Congratulations A-Jock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You contribute so much to the forum that I think it is safe to say that we have all benefited from the choice you made on July 20, 1987. I look forward to reading a lot more in years to come.

Happy 17th Birthday Annette!

That is quite an accomplishment! My DH recently celebrated 5 years. I admire you both more than you'll ever know! :D

YAY ANNETTE!!!

My dear A-jock,

I've spent countless happy moments here on the Forums chuckling at your posts -- and as you know I always search for them, seeing as how I'm one of the unofficial chairs of the Annette Q. Aquajock "Legally Bald AND Legally Bold" Fan Club. :) This time your post made tears spring to my eyes -- but, as usual, you also brought a huge smile to my face.

I am in awe of your accomplishments, there just isn't any other way to put it. Look at you, girl -- you are not only healthy, happy, productive, clean and sober, but you are the Buffest of the Buff, AND you share an important date with our beloved tiny leader. As Chandler Bing would say, could you BE any more special????? :)

Happy Anniversary!!!!! :)
