** 12 Week Challenge Jan 2nd/ week 1**

Hello everyone,

Day 3 and I'm doing good with my eating. I did ME this morning and after doing L&G on Monday I'm already leg pressed outx( . Think I'm gonna have to do some subbing in my rotation;) . We'll see.

I also didn't give any personal info., so here goes: I'm 48, married for 30 years(31 in March), two children, one grandson, 4 dogs, 3 cats. I'm not working right now, but would LOVE to get a job. I'm a surgical tech. and worked for an orthopedic surgeon for ten years. I'll find something, somewhere, soon I hope:).

Anyway, ^^^^^^^5's to all that are here and working on this challenge. WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!

Meal 2: Go Lean Roll
Meal 3: Lean Cuisine
Meal 4: oatmeal w/protein powder
Meal 5: uncertain - possibly leftovers
Meal 6: string cheese & apple

WE CAN DO THIS!!

Day 3 of the 12-week challenge! Well, my children are still home from school. They do not go back until Monday Jan. 7, so I have a few moe days of all the bickering during the day.

I did Scrambled Eggs this morning. I, also, did personal training with my daughter (she's 34). I got my personal training certification a couple of months ago, so I have been training with her for two days a week. It is a fun mom and daughter time together. I love the idea of me picking the exercises and someone following me for a change.

My eating has been very clean - it is nice going into the new year not feelling bloated and like I overdid the holidays with eating. My daughter, who was here today, started weight watchers in the middle of September and lost 15 pounds by the middle of December, but gained back 4 of them over the last two weeks. That is so normal. They told her at weight watchers that the normal weight gain between Thanksgiving and Christmas as 10 pounds! WOW!!

Keep on eating clean and working out!

Cheryl

Hey guys. Little ol' ME again! Back from work/school (aka play time, lol).

Karin-I drink Myoplex Lite shakes by EAS. They’re actually pretty yummy just made with water and ice cubes. My new favorite iTread workout is the set 25 Top 40. I was confused how they’d be able to fit 40 songs in there…..to ME, Top 40 means the Top 40 SONGS! Lol It’s an AWESOME workout and one of my all-time faves right now, but the music is not ‘da bomb’. lol

NancyJ-I LOVE Cardio Fusion. But I haven’t done it in a while. HMMMMM…maybe this weekend. Also, that recipe sounds DELISH! Care to share???

Well it is day two of the 12 week challange for me and so far I am doing well. I did kick max today, I am trying to follow Cathe rotations but I do not have Circuit Max. Today I have to start back on my classwork, I took a much needed week off. Everyone have a good day.

Just driving thru & waving hi! Eating is good today, but I haven't WO yet. I had enough trouble just getting up to come to work never mind working out! I have some elliptical time and abs planned for this evening but Gayle may have talked me into LIS cardio instead :)

My abs are still sore from Monday (WOW am I out of shape!) and UB is sore from PUB yesterday. I have legs on the agenda for tomorrow. Trying to decide between the 4DS legs, PLB, or a L&G premix...

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day!

I gotta be quick cause the bus is going to arrive any minute!

Amelia--Thanks so much for the website! Trying new things makes phase 1 so much more enjoyable. I'm triumphantly making my way through day 2 :)P ) of phase 1.

Diana--I was referring to South Beach. Sorry for not being clear!

Karin--My husband and I first read the book and went through phase 1 and 2 about 5 years ago. I was in the best shape of my life after that. It was miraculous for my husband. He lost 35 lbs and stopped drinking soda for the first time in his life! He looked like a teenager again! The best thing about it is that reading the book and understanding carbs, protein and fat changed the way we eat permanently--specifically with whole grains. Dessert is my downfall though, so that's where I struggle :)

Gotta get to the bus stop!

Hey everyone! I will share my recipe for the Chicken Cacciatora as mentioned earlier! However, I'm not sure how officially clean it is, as it is winter and I have to use canned tomatoes. Its still healthy, though!

1 and 1/3 to 1/2 lbs chicken breast cut into chunks
14 oz. can of diced tomatoes
6 oz. can of tomato paste
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 green pepped cut up
1 red pepper cut up
1/4 cup white wine
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/8 tsp. black pepper
dash of red pepper flakes
1/3 tsp or so of Adobo seasoning

Add all ingredients to Crock Pot; set on low, cook for 5 to 6 hours.
Sodium content may be high, but you can adjust that if you want. No added fat!!! Can be served over brown rice or whole wheat pasta.

Take care, Nancy J.~~

Ok well this is actually my day 1 since I had a new years day brunch to attend yesterday at a creperie....what's a girl to do.

Been right on target today even though I am feeling a little hungry since my bodies been used to eating more the last few weeks...well thats what I tell myself.

M#1- Egg white veggie omelet w/ 1 ezekial bread with flax oil & tea
M#2- cottage ch. with pomegranates
M#3- Turkey burger on 1/2 half sprouted bagel with some cheese
WW vegetable soup
M#4- some heart to heart cereal w/milk
M#5- walnut crusted salmon over greens(homemade)

My workout I think will be bootcamp premix from BM2. I've really lost the get up and go lately on working out.

Good evening. It was a pretty good day for me today. My calorie intake was 1595 and I was on my elliptical trainer for 45 minutes this morning. I also had a great day at work (although it is only my fifth day so I'll see if I'm saying that 6 months from now).

My quads are sore from Gym Style Legs yesterday -- it's been almost two weeks since I lifted weights. I need to be at work at 7am tomorrow, so it's to bed early tonight for me so I can do Gym Style Chest and Triceps before work.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Christine

Last nite I did 30min on the treadmill, 20min of lower body work and 6min of abs. I don't get up in the mornings to exercise not an earlybird. I had cereal toast and grapefruit for brkfst. Mid morning snack yogurt an banana. Lunch was brown rice, pork tenderloin, and peas and corn. Afternoon snack salad with tuna. Supper was shakenbake chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. I will do body fusion tonite.

Good evening everyone! I did 4ds Double Cardio (lis and his) this morning! I really love doing the double cardio on the 4ds! It was a great workout as usual!

Checking in real quick with GS CH & Tri and Coremax #1

Back to work today was tough!!!!!! Glad I brought my clean lunch while everyone else went to the cafeteria for the fried and processed stuff!

Feeling good...wish I had more time to read this thread tonight....but off to bed!

Hi everyone! Another good day under my belt. And it's late, I'm hungry and I love to go to bed hungry. I ended the day at 1200 calories, which is a little under but I'm not going to eat something this late. And I did KPC for my exercise, this was just a cardio day. Today I'll choose between Power Hour or Muscle Endurance, two of my favorites, and I'll tack on 30 min of cardio. I never do a workout without a little cardio.
Meredith

Hi everyone. Well I have to admit that today was better than yesterday, but still needs some improvement. Many of you make this look so easy. For me it's a little bit of a battle. I know shifting into cleaning eating and building my exercise endurance back up will take some time, but I know I didn't get to this place over night and I'm not going to get out of it over night either so bring on the challenge.

Jean

Checking in late today . . .

Got my workout in, bootcamp + 30 min TM walk.

Eating was good until I got carb cravings tonite.

Am about 200 cals over what I should be but hopefully the extra walk made up for it :7

Until tomorrow . . .
