10 pound meltdown Tues Nov 13

Hey Cuz - I don't actually think I need to lose weight, but I definitely need to keep an eye on it with my reduced workout schedule. I figured this'd be a good place to keep track.

I won't be able to work out tonight - it's PT night again. Joy. So I'll be thinking of you as you're pedaling furiously to CC.

Tneah - oh my, yes, that Leg Blast premix is a killer!!! I'm glad you survived.

Shelley - Catch! Here's a roll of duct tape. :p

Lanie, just keep your eyes closed so no one will see them rolling.

Shelley, do you need to be duct taped to stop eating or to stop talking? Maybe we should duct tape your hands together, behind your back. Hey, a new form of yoga - duquetapee.

Good day, melters. I'm just jumping in to say hello. I'll do personals when I get home tonight. Today was 4DS Chest and back. I've been liking the weights first premix. It gives me time to wake up before jumping around. The only downside is that I don't get quite as much calorie burn for the hour when I do the workout in that order.

Yay, I have fruit back now that I'm in phase two of South Beach. That makes me very happy. Well that and they put asparagus, green beans and olives on the salad bar today. Wow, I really oughta get out more....

BBL

TK, I've been doing the weights first premixes, too, but then, I don't do Cathe's cardio ;) . I LOVE that she offers a weights first option so I don't have to FF through the whole friggin workout :p

Good luck with the SBD. I tried it once a few years ago and had pretty decent results with it, but the first 2 weeks was really hard IMHO.

I drank too much water today. I need to count running to the bathroom as cardio! I've been reading my Thyroid Diet book and she really stresses water. Don't know how much medical fact is behind it but I know it won't hurt.

Deb: I'm so happy your dog's test came back fine. You must be so relieved! As for cottage cheese, here's a couple ideas: 'faux' ambrosia - mix in a little sugar free orange jello to cottage cheese and add some crushed pineapple and a couple drops of coconut extract. Also, 'pumpkin pie' - add a dollop or two of canned pumpkin to the cottage cheese, add a little fake sweetener and pumpkin pie spice. 'Apple pie' you already know LOL. Canned peaches in cottage cheese is good too, but try to get the peaches that are packed in water or pineapple juice instead of syrup.

Shannon: Welcome! You must be so happy you can use your elliptical again. I love the elliptical. I just wish I had room for one in my house.

Lainie: You're still getting crazy with those smilies! Take care of that ankle. You might want to put off doing your dome workout if it's still sore. The dome does put a lot of strain on the ankles if the workout calls for stepping on and off of the dome a lot.

TeTe: Welcome!

Tneah: B+G Leg Blast is one of my favorites. I think I did that one every week for several months.

Michele: I got thru SBD phase one a lot better than I had expected, but was not even tempted to continue that phase. The biggest problem for me is that there isn't nearly enough fiber for me (if you know what I mean). I started adding more complex carbs back to my diet yesterday and the first thing I ate was a big bowl of Fiber One. I'm not sure I'm real impressed with the results yet. The best thing about SBD is that I haven't been hungry, so much so that I realized I wasn't eating enough calories. That isn't really good either. I obviously have some tweaking to do 'till I get it right.

Today was vile and it's still vile and I just feel like bawling my eyes out. No workout for me and the eating wasn't great.

I think that I'm going to have to change my workout schedule on Sophie weeks so that I work out BEFORE work, which means getting up at 4:45 a.m. Oy. For those that aren't aware, I'm a single mom and share custody of my DD with my ex. It's a week on, week off arrangement. It's getting to the point where I just don't have time in the evenings what with trying to get dinner and supervising homework and all the rest of that junk.

Sorry for unloading on y'all.

((HUGS)) to Shelley, sounds like life is pretty hectic for you. That would be tough, those weeks with your daughter are probably totally different than those without. Is there is no way to squeeze in a workout after Sophie eats dinner, once you have her settled in with homework? I know you are probably pooped by then huh? I'll stop talking and trying to give advice now, I know that can be irritating. Just sending good vibes your way.

I am myself, sick and tired of exercise and eating right today, its exhausting and feels like my second "job". I want to be able to eat and drink what I want and exercise when I want....whaaaaa....I think maybe its my poor tired legs talking right now. That friggin leg workout just about killed me. I sometimes forget I really did just have major surgery not too long ago (in July) so anyway, that's my excuse.Oh, and I very foolishly stepped into a Nordstrom dressing room this evening.x( Armed with two pairs of jeans, undressed and got a glimpse of what can only be described as "holy ####!"Apparently, I have never worked out a day in my life according to THAT mirror. I hate that damn lighting, the salesgirl even told me they would sell more stuff if their lighting was more flattering to the figure. Ya think?x( Plus, I was at the store for something totally unrelated that didn't require me removing any article of clothing at all. Self-inflicted punishment I tell ya.:)

Okay, enough of my pity party, I am not helping myself or any of you at all! I really hope everyone gives themselves a break, a pat on the back and a hug. Tomorrow is another day and yet another chance right?:7 :7
