▪▪▪ CHEETAHS ▪▪▪ Saturday, 11.1

Linda – oh too funny about the number!! It’s lucky, I’m sure!!! Too bad the expo wasn’t totally cool and you couldn’t find anything you needed. I don’t understand these women who are early risers and yet can close the town down! Probably aren’t quite as early a riser as I am! :p Sounds like your dress plan is a good one! Cyclists have leg and arm warmers that you can pull down when it gets too hot – that’s one thing I think is handy!

Dallas – um, honey, it’s the weekend! You don’t HAVE to get up at 5AM! :p Enjoy your workout! I am totally with you on 10PM being too late. I’ll probably come home around midnight tonight – the gift exchange probably won’t happen until at least 11PM.

Wendy – sounds like a nice workout you got in there. Sorry about IE being a pain…

Jackie – Yeah – I’m always leery of invisible fences. And the real problem is – once the dog gets through, he doesn’t want to go back because there’s a shock, too. I’m so glad your running partner was good for you! Sounds like a good running partner to have! Enjoy DBF tonight!

Karen – WOW! 6 totes of Halloween stuff? We have one! Some lights and plastic pumpkins so we don’t have to carve them (we did when we had little kids, but…). I won’t ask about Christmas, but I can do the math!

Shelly – Oh don’t you hate that glazed look we get when we talk about our obsession? *sighs* Oh would think as nurses they would really appreciate that – but I guess not.

*Waves madly to Posh!*

Well, I'm finished with Tough Love. Every flipping minute of it! It was a tough workout. There is a lot more standing in this one than in a typical ride or even spinervals. I was strong through out, and only chickened out on one section - where he had us do a standing spin in a really light gear - I went a little heavier on the tension as the really high spins while standing hurt my knees (and I had already done 2 of them!). Not sure I'll be doing that one again any time soon straight thru (I love doing parts of it) but I had to do it once.

Christine—I have no doubt that whatever happens workwise you will land on your feet. You are so good at what you do, and having met you in person now, I can see why. J…thanks for explaining Basement Cat. *lol* I haven’t been to that site in awhile. BTW, my students were highly impressed that I even knew of it. I think they think we live at school. J …Have fun tonight! Will be curious to see what you ended up with in your gift exchange. AWESOME job with Tough Love!!!

Linda—wow, that is funny that you wound up with the same exact number. A good sign, for sure! I love the ladybug Posh sent you. Your attire plan sounds good. Maybe even some cheap gloves you can discard? Hope you enjoyed your pasta dinner and get as much of a good night’s rest as possible. I did get up a couple of times in the night but totally agree with Shelly about the adrenaline. Sending more cheetah power vibes your way. As has been stated by others, we’ll be with you every step of the way!!! GO, LINDA!!

Dallas—the gift swap really is great fun. Thank you re: the pictures. I haven’t done the 1RM exercises in awhile. I wasn’t going in any particular order, no. I just did a few here and there. I didn't get very far because I don’t know what a good many of them are, or I don’t have the equipment for it. Cathe's November rotation is out. Seems like it'd be a good prelude to STS.

Jackie—mmm, Snickers. One of my favorites…Everyone went home happy last year. My sister ended up with the roosters (voted “worst” gift), and this is awful, but she actually RE-GIFTED them to someone in her DH’s family—that person happens to be a rooster collector. *lol* So all ended well. J Great job holding that pace while talking! Enjoy your time with DBF.

Shelly—Maybe eventually you'll inspire some of your co-workers to want to give running a shot...We did in get a decent walk on the trip—kept it at a good clip to stay warm. J I usually do not start this early with the shopping. I do a combination of internet shopping and usually a teensy bit of Black Friday mad bargain-hunting and wrap it up by 12/1. I am not one for the crowds. Have a great 20 tomorrow!

POSH!!!! J Just sayin’ hey.

I wound up getting sucked into a good Denzel movie and instead of sitting on my duff to watch it, I decided to make it a nice, sweaty session on the EXT.

Have a great night!

Before I head down to watch some TV,

Linda- I just wanted to wish you best of luck and happy running to you. I know you will do great. You trained hard and are more than ready. We all will be waiting for a full report.

GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

LINDA :D:D:D:D
