Happpyyyyyyy Fridayyyyy!!!!

How is everyone?

46.jpg

Christine—I’m not going to our staff party tonight, either. So many other social functions are going on this month, I would need a massive sprinkling of Shelly Dust to have the energy for it all! J I’m having a good chuckle that your co-workers were advised to eat beforehand. Sounds like a group that likes to rock out. Hope your head is better today!

Carole—I feel for Karen. It can't be easy...How is your holiday shopping coming along?

Brighton—Those KPC/L&G premixes can put on the hurt somethin’ fierce. Hope you had a good tempo run.

Posh—Man, that is some serious punishment if it hurts to wash your hair!!! *lol* about donning the cape and whippin’ around the office. I hear you, I hear you. Too many huts on fire, not enough hydration! *LOLOLOL* We are interviewing potential candidates for the student travel program. I have the Christmas cards on my agenda for this weekend, too.

Jackie—glad your mom’s heart checkup went smoothly. Yes, the interviews are for the trip to Europe. We interviewed about 30 kids last night with two more nights of interviews coming up. Have a nice pasta dinner planned for tonight? What time do you have to leave in the morning?

Wendy—glad your shin pain was just a fluke. Can’t believe you are *still* dealing with the remnants of that cold. Damage control flew out the window yesterday. Somebody brought Munchkins in to our team meeting, and in the afternoon, I dipped into some Oreos. Oops. :p

Linda—cheating on Cathe, are you? ;) I don’t mind the interviews. It does make for a long day (they finish at 9 pm), but I’m excited to be part of the program and hope enrollment is full enough that I do get to travel.

Shelly—that is funny your ILs came all that way just to watch TV? Guess some folks just gotta see their shows, huh. I’m not sure about the total # of applicants at this point—possibly 50. I believe an additional info session is being scheduled after the new year. There are 40 spots in our delegation.

Gloria—I definitely will. Oy vey! Sooo much going on there. *lol* Things are going well with the travel program. I need to attend all the meetings & everything, even though there is a good chance I could be “cut” if enrollment is not high enough. As mentioned before, I am so jealous of your snow! It would be so great to have a white Christmas. Not so great to have recess duty in 19-degree temperatures, though. *lol* Holy moly! Are you running around with the kids to stay warm?! Oh, congrats to the BFs on their marriage. Have fun celebrating the happy occasion!

Dallas—That’s great that your MT found all the trouble spots. Yeah, whatta pair we are. I’m kind of bummed. I did not want to cut back on running after recovering from Chicago, but guess there’s not much choice. This sucker really hurts when it flares!…Ha—the early news is usually NOT funny, but the anchors were crackin’ some jokes that morning, picking on the traffic reporter’s shirt, etc. Guess I’ve also been watching with a different eye since this year I am one of the co-teachers for the TV Tech class (which broadcasts a daily news show). We try to get the kids to ad-lib and deliver the news naturally instead of reading off the prompter. Some of them are so painfully shy, I have to wonder why in the world they signed up for this!...Sure thing---*serenity now* vibes comin’ atcha!! That is definitely one of my all-time favorite shows.

Today’s workout will be a cardio session TBD + abs.

Hugs to all this Friday!

Good Morning Girls.

Today is a kb work out-not sure which one yet. I don't have to get it done as early today since DS doesn't have school and I don't have to be in work until 9. I'll probably start my work out at about 6:45 this morning. I slept until almost 6 am today. WHOA! :p

Got on the scale this morning and I'm holding steady for now which is fine. Hopefully I'll be a down a bit more by next week some time though.

Cathy: Thanks for the friday giggle. That pic is too funny! :D Yeah, I've never been sick for this long! It's going on a month now! I can honestly say it's on it's way out though. Very few mild symptoms left. Thank goodness it's almost over. :) Munchkins and oreos would make me kick damage control to the curb too. Enjoy whatever cardio you choose this afternoon. Whose ab work will you be doing?

BBL.

Hi Friends-
Yesterday I was in lurk only mode. But after a day of appointments errands and a bit of shopping I am done ( except for minor 'stocking stuffers') I am pretty excited about the digital picture frame we chose for MIL & FIL. We are going to load it with pictures of their 50th Wedding anniversary party.

Wendy- good job on the portion control etc. I was doing great, then DH suggested we have a dinner date last night. And I was very pretty good there, but then at home I had to have some GSthin mints! WTH? I am blaming it on the wine! One cheat meal a week is no biggy, but today we are traveling for hockey and we will end up eating out and having a drink. I will just have to be more careful.

Cathy- Oh a Europe trip with school? I hope you get enough kids to go! It sounds expensive, but worth it! Will the kids fund raise? DD has paid 100% for her upcoming trip to Cost Rica in February. We felt she needed to fund this on her own, because we already sent her over seas twice.

Cathy- Do you remember JesMOMof3 or Jesjugs? I recall after her marathon she had very similar symptoms to yours.

Shelly- You are funny going about your normal routine with MIL & FIL hanging out in front of the TV. They are probably happy as can be. I do not recall how far were you from Tuscon when you were in AZ? But what do you know about University of Arizona ? I may have to PM you.

Gloria- I have not gottn my Baba recipe out yet, but if you have access to a Silver Palette cookbook. I use the hummus recipe and sub out the chic peas for a medium roasted eggplant.peeled and cooled. The charring gives it a good flavor. Just cut in half and roast in very hot oven cut side down on a greased cookie sheet. Or peel and slice and roast on the cookie sheet.

Dallas- glad the Mt helped you out!

Yesterday was Supersets heavy and chin ups ( both of them were hard!:p;) I will need to do these more often! ) then planks with my feet on the SB. I am having to modify out exercise that require my foot to bend and bear weight on the ball of my foot. So lunges are out. But I did sequential power kicks and squat into side kicks during the explosive lunge section.

Ok time to get a move on. Today is a 5 miler, some cleaning, a hair cut and hi light and then we travel to watch DS's game 3 hours from here. We will be back tomorrow night, and then we have some of our NJ relatives visiting for two nights.

Good morning Cheetahville!

I only have time for a fly-by:eek::confused::(...sorry! Just way way too much going on with work to get here for personals:(. I should be able to catch up Sunday:confused:.

Just wanted to report that I did ME/BC bonus combo yesterday morning and had a great workout. Prepared me perfectly for bowling last night...I actually bowled *well* for a change although the team got spanked pretty darned good:mad:, oh well. We're well out of the money for this half (our season is split into two halves) so we'll experiment for the last two weeks and go get 'em next half.

Well, gotta scoot. Happy Friday all!

My work out is done! Extreme Kettlebell Cardio work out segments: leg burner, upper body blast, swing work out, core/cooldown done *mostly* with a 20# bell. Totaled about 40 minutes. Perfect butt-kicker leading into the weekend! ;)

Off to the shower now and to get ready for work.

BB this afternoon.:)

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I hope you got the rest of my email reply...:)...Cute pic. I have not done any holiday shopping. Enjoy cardio & abs today.

Brighton...thanks for your thoughts on Sadie & the family stress...Hope you got the cheerios and milk cleaned up..:)

Posh...Thanks for your thoughts on Sadie. I know you understand the feeling...:)...Funny as I am in marathon mode I think, logged 40 miles last week (thought I only had 37)!!!

Jackie...a 3:30 marathon time is tough to do, If I remember right, it is an 8:00 pace.. I bet your boss having his brother to pace him will make things easier. I wish him well! WOW, that is a chilly start...I now some runners wear an old sweatshirt to stay warm that they just throw away after the start. Good luck to you!

Linda...Good job with the DOMS! Are you feeling recovered from the marathon?

Shelly...GS legs always gives me some DOMS and if you upped the weights then watch out! Glad DH's parents are having a good time. I bet they like getting ore channels! Yes, the Vet came in on sunday, there was an extra fee but I sure did not mind. I definitely want to move past this moving chapter! Thanks re: my workouts.

Gloria...Beau is just the same morning "rock and roller"!! OMG 19 is way cold!! That is a LOT of snow you guys have...wow! LOL about Pip licking your face during yoga, does make it a bit tough to concentrate!

Dallas...glad you figured out the EXT cord issue. I have done that before with my older Nordic track ski machine. OW, I did not know you did some tissue damage to the hip...better off taking it easy. Sending healing vibes...I do know how you feel not being able to run much, it is NO fun at all.

Today is C&B from something and a 5-6 mile tempo run.

Have a great day...:)

Happy Friday All!

Carole – ITA about some dysfunction in most families. It’s probably what keeps them interesting. :p The deer hunters are horrible. There are even songs about deer camp and how they go to drink and do “man-things” (which basically means to follow well below acceptable civilized behavior) and oh, yeah, occasionally shoot at a deer. Quite funny.

Brighton – I’m glad you enjoyed my card! Yeah, I sometimes get a bit nervous on the back of a horse that is too much for me. Fortunately, I can fake confidence pretty well, even to the horse. :p Thank you for the group hug! It was wonderful!

Thomasina – Good job at getting in personals, a workout AND getting to work on time! Amazing! Yeah DOMS! Wonderful isn’t it? Thanks for the donation. I have until July so January is perfect. :D Yeah, half the people in my office had headaches. I rarely get them bad except under certain weather patterns. Fortunately Advil holds them at bay, but I still feel wiped.

Jackie – You’re sweet – re: Kimo having a good mommy! She lives for food. As long as she can eat, she’s a happy dog. :p Oh enjoy having your days off! Mine all carry over, so I’m fine. I’m taking 2 days and maybe a 3rd when dad’s here, but I will probably go into the office on the 30th – just to get away from the craziness for a bit.

Wendy – yes, I woke up with the headache yesterday. It’s just the way it goes sometimes. I’m just thankful I don’t get them regularly. They really zap you. The only good thing was that I wasn’t hungry. Enjoy the KB!

Linda – No DOMS yesterday which seriously surprises me. B&G is ALWAYS good for DOMS. Guess I’ll have to go harder next time – eh? I heard the new Squeeze’s are tough! Why guilty for Non-Cathe workouts? I like variety so I mix ‘em up a lot.

Shelley – Glad to hear you’re surviving the visit! Watch TV all day? How boring. To each his own, though. Yeah – the dogs – those hunters will shoot at anything that moves. They are not the sharpest tools in the shed. I am looking forward to the full house. I’m sure I’ll be just as happy to see them leave, but I’ll enjoy everyone while they’re here. Thanks for taking the DOMS for me!

Gloria – Glad you got the card. I think I would like that book. I’ll have to look it up. I like kids books and my DD15 volunteers for the humane society, so she’ll love it too. Maybe they could base a project around it. Thank you! Yes, dogs wanting to join you in yoga is not relaxing. Whenever I do a downward dog, Jimmy does one, too. :D

Dallas – I love B&G, too. The Leg Blast Premix always cracks me up – Shelly calls it the “Oh no, not THAT one again!” premix. Thinking of that gets me through it. :p Honey, I’ve been thinking about you, too and keeping you in my prayers. I hope things take a turn for the better for everyone in your life. We’re here for ya!

Cathy – that poor kitty!!! :D They always look so pathetic wet! Shelly Dust! I love it!!! Where do I get some?! :D Oh, and speaking of a group that “likes to Rock out” – we have our own company band, and they are actually fun to listen to. I will miss that. Enjoy your cardio!

Judy – I’m passing the hat for “Best Cheetah Organizational Skills” to you! I am no where near done shopping! Way to go! Oh that photo frame sounds fun!

Wendi – good job at bowling well!

Never did get in a workout yesterday. Did a bunch of stuff around the house, but no workout. As I ate pretty well yesterday, I’m not too upset. Started this morning with a slight headache, but took Advil right away and it seems to be at bay. *knocks on wood* It’s definitely weather related. We’ve had some strange weather this past week with morning starting at out 35 and afternoons finishing off at 75. We’ve also had a lot of fog. I have PUB and PLB floor work on the rotation. That’ll be fun. No abs, but I’ll add PLB abs to that (and probably regret it!). I do like this rotation, though. Enjoy your Friday’s everyone.

I need a kick out the door. It is 23 degrees:eek: , and I am stalling on starting my outdoor run! But I do need to do some out door runs while the roads are dry. The Rock Hill HM averages temps from :confused:21-43 degrees for early March. Yikes! Ok , here I go......

Good morning! I am so glad it is Friday! There is just no way I could put into words, just how glad I am that it is Friday!

Wendy – LOL…my eating is just kind of cause I feel like eating crap, too! I have to stop! I just have to get back on track, that is all there is to it! I do recommend Squeeze, but it is totally different than what we are used to with Cathe! But very tough in a different way! Good job on the KB workout!

Dallas – Thanks, regarding my workouts. The Squeeze workouts are totally different than B&G, but I think they are just has hard, but in a totally different way! There are no heavy weights or anything. Lots of “tucking and squeezing” the lower body. The upper body uses light weights 3-8. I have to use 3 & 5’s (and I can usually match Cathe’s weights or a little under her) and I honestly cannot finish all of the reps. It sets my upper body on fire. I know some people thing it is easy…but when I concentrate hard on the moves, it is killer for me. But be warned…it is different !! LOL…glad you got the EXT “fixed”!

Cathy – LOL…how cute!!! Poor little kitty! Shhh….yes, I am cheating on Cathe ;) I think I will try this for a little while to see what happens. I am sure I go back to Cathe very soon! I usually can’t stand to stay away long! ;) I hope you get enough interest! That would be wonderful if you got to travel! Is it the trips to Australia, New Zealand, etc? Wow! 9:00 p.m. would make for a very long day! :( Enjoy your workout!

Judy – Great job on SS and the pullups! Great way to modify the lunges! Enjoy your run today! Ouch! That is cold! Hope you have a good run and warm up! :)

Wendi – Glad you had a good bowling night! Good job on the ME/BC bonus workout!

Carole – Yes, I am actually feeling recovered from the marathon :) I want to get back into my long runs again!! Time will not cooperate. Maybe after the holidays I can start building up some more. The longest I have run, so far, is 7 miles. Enjoy your C&B and run!

Christine – Glad the Advil helped your headache! Enjoy the PUB/PLB floor and abs! I don’t know why I feel “guilty” for not doing Cathe. I guess ‘cause I am always afraid I will lose fitness/strength. But I know it is good to mix it up! Wow! No DOMS from B&Gs? Another Iron Cheetah! :)

THis morning I ran 5 miles (on the TM) and did Squeeze LBC and the abs from Squeeze Stronger.

Hey to everyone and hope everyone has a great Friday!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendy - Glad your run went well yesterday. About time that cold left. It stayed around too long. Good KB workout today!

Linda - Those non-Cathe workouts will make you appreciate Cathe even more. ;) Race is tomorrow. I'm ready. Great job with the 5 miles and Squeeze. Great DOMS!! You don't sound to happy about it being Friday. :p

Shelly - Sounds like your in laws are easy to please. Those are the best kind. DOMS, yeah baby! How often do you think you will get back to AZ for a visit? House sell yet? Yes, race is tomorrow and the temp will be in the 20's. Brrrr!!!

Gloria - I tried finding some phyllo dough around here about a year ago and never found any. I'll have to use your idea of crescent rolls. Cold day for you yesterday sounds like a good soup day. We wouldn't know how to act around here with that much snow. Enjoy the wedding.

Dallas - Glad that EXT wasn't dead. I had that to happen to mine once and I jiggled the cord. Hope it doesn't happen again either. I'll find the peanut butter pie recipe and post it later. There is a race expo but I'm not attending. Didn't want to make that hour drive twice.

Cathy - Like that holly jolly Friday line! :D Made me smile. :D Bet the kids are excited about the chance to go on the trip. No pasta dinner for tonight. I'm having fish and a potato. Think we're leaving about 6 or so since RP wive is picking up our packets today. She works in Memphis. We need to get there early enough to find a good parking space and walk to the start. Race time is 8:00.

Judy - Nice to be done with all the shopping. Good workout yesterday and good job with the chin ups. I haven't done any of those in a while. Have a good 5 mile run! Good luck to DS! Be safe.

Wendi - Sorry work is keeping you so, so busy. Glad your bowling game was better last night. You'll be ready for them the next half.

Carole - Boss did say he wanted to do an 8:00 minute pace. How funny he told me this morning he's wearing a sweatshirt that he can throw away and he's wearing shorts. I won't be having any of that. Enjoy your tempo run. You're doing so well.

Christine - I can carry over 14 weeks of leave. Any over that and I lose. Don't intend on giving anything back. :p Also, want to keep my leave built up so that when I retire I have a big pay check coming my way. There are some peope who use all of their leave every year never allowing for emergencies. How long will your dad visit? Glad the headache is better.

Today is a rest day for me. I did some abs and some stretching and that's it. I'm ready for tomorrow.

Have a fabulous day!

Good Luck on your Half Marathon tomorrow Jackie!

Jackie- I should not have complained about the temps today. You will have similar conditions tomorrow. Honestly, once I got out the door and past the first mile I was fine. But no way would I wear shorts or discard my outer layer.

5.5 out door miles are done.

However, I am a wimp in the chin up department. I could only do two complete ones again today after my run. But on a good note I did manage a 2 minute plank with my feet on the SB.

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all having a fabulous Friday! Well, I have some great Chest/Tri DOMS from GS yest to go with the LB DOMS and I'll make it complete today with BSB:eek:. Started out the morning with ASJ.

DH is taking Ma and Pa in law out to lunch while I nap (going to work tonight) I'm pretty sure they are leaving tomorrow. I only have tonight to work then a nice stretch off. I hope to get a start on the holiday shopping!!!

Linda- Thanks for the review of the new Squeeze. I like the original and I'm intrigued that you think the new one is better. I may have to check it out soon. LOL about sleeping in until 0630!!! This is one amazing group of fit active gals!

Gloria- So you have tomorrow all to yourself??? woohooo... such luxury! Glad you have good reliable heat sources available. But I guess you would be well prepared for that having lived up in the frozen north for a while. I can't imagine kids wanting to play out in that weather!!! I guess they are the tough northern breed and are used to it! I can just picture you trying to do your calm yoga poses with Pip wanting to play!! Too cute.

Wendy- Im willing to bet my eye teeth that only YOU notice those 5 extra lbs!! wow... you Mom fries every nite! That is a tad excessive but at least she does use olive oil. Another lazy cheetah slug sleeping in til 0600 (see note to Linda) LOL. Hope you have a great KB workout today!! Do you have any of Amy Bento's? She is my fav for KB.

Cathy- We can always count on you for entertainment... that pic of the kitty is outrageously funny!!!! Throwing some Shelly dust your way..... (hee hee)... seriously you don't want any of that CRAZY stuff!!! My ILs pretty much watch TV all the time and really just wanted a change in scenery and see their darling son more ya know! Whatever... I can't imagine being that sedentary personally! So are the interviews going well so far? That is good that you won't have to turn down that many applicants I guess.

Judy- Wow..... finished with the Christmas shopping???? I am so impressed (and jealous too!) Havent even started yet and that is very unusual for me... just too wiped out this year I guess with everything that's happened. It will be a VERY minimal Christmas. Oh well! That digital pic frame is a great gift idea. I did the same thing for my Mom last year. I actually worked at the University Medical Center in Tucson in the late 80s. that was a great place to work... lots going on!! I don't know very much tho about the actual U of A. It does have a pretty good reputation as far as I know.

Wendi- Congrats on the great nite of bowling! I can see why doing ME/BC combo before would be a good prep!

Carole- You haven't started holiday shopping yet either? Okay, I feel much better now... thanks!! I'm really going heavy on the GS series now and I'm anticipating having total body DOMS to deal with soon!! (love it) Hope you have a great workout with the C& B and a fabulous run!

Christine- Yes, my ILs are very sedentary! I suppose some of it is age but they've pretty much always been that way. My own parents are also in their 80s and are on the go all the time. To each his own for sure! Hey, I'll take DOMS any day for ya!! (LOL) hooboy, my current session with GS is really doin it too! You may get your dose to with the PLB/PUB!

I think that about catches me up for now!

tata

CHYEAH! HOLLY JOLLY! woo hoo

Friday! Friiiiiiidaaaay! Friiiiiiiidddaaaaaaaaaauuuuuh!

LOL – TGIF!

Can ya’ll tell I love Friday?!?!? Just took care of the “barnyard” and getting some breakfast before headin’ out to Disneyland…dayshift today, so I’ll be hitting Costco, Whole Foods, and Home Depot after work.

Jackie – Hey girl, gotta give you the GO JACKIE! and CHEETAH POWER! today so I don’t miss ya Sat am. You’ve done awesome with your training and you’re in spectacular condition to melt that asphalt for a PR! LOL. Have fun!

Linda – I’m sure it is fine to switch up workouts now and again – don’t feel guilty. You’re also doing great keeping up your running too being so busy working, etc. I know how hard that is to do! Ah, the weekend is here at last…lol

Shelly – LOL re: DOMish terminology – chyeah, I got a few. So far the legs are all good. lol. Glad you are enjoying the IL’s visit.

Gloria – Wowza, ya’ll are getting some freezin’ azz temps, huh? LOL’d re: the snow mobile suit! too funny. That’s great you read aloud to the class. Believe it or not, but that is something I remember from grade school and I always loved it when the teacher would read a story. Hey, that’s where I got the idea to “read with expression”…lol…all those years ago.. Stay warm up there, Up North Cheetah friend!

Wendy – Hope you enjoyed the evening with mom and the home cookin’..

Dallas – Eek! I hope your hip gets better – not likin’ what the Chiro is sayin’. I’m a firm believer in the miracle of massage so let’s hope this therapy will help. But if ya'll have tissue damage, um, I'd take it real easy and get healed.

Cathy – LOL – great minds think alike re: Friday! LOL . I asked who you were interviewing because for our Study Abroad Program, some of the Instructors assist the Deans with the interview process in selecting Instructors to go along and teach for the semester. Uh, I’ll be taking care of that hydration deprivation this weekend..lol. Chyeah, got me a few “yellers’ on the phone yesterday. I suppose the closer to the full moon next Friday we’ll be getting an influx of yellers/whiners/buttheads on the phones and window. Enjoy the Friday vibes!

Judy – The digital picture frame sounds like a great gift, especially with the anniversary photos! Good Luck with the hockey game!

Carole – WOO HOO! I’m so excited for you, Carole. These early strong running indicators are pointing towards a strong marathon finish! yay!

Christine – I’m still having the headache issues as well! uggh. I get clear, cold sunshine weather here at home, then drive down to the valley for damp, fog dreary weather…eek. Enjoy them pyramids! I love the pyramids!

Ok, gotta get out the door to work now! HaPpY FrIdAy Ya’ll!

POSH :D

Had to come back and post the Peanut Butter Pie recipe for Dallas before I forgot.

Peanut Butter Pie
8 servings @ 5 points each
1 Keebler Ready Crust, Graham, Reduced-Fat (a serving is 1/8 of the pie, 100 calories, 3.5 fat grams, less that 1 gram fiber)
1 cup of PB2
8 oz fat free Philadelphia cream cheese
1 12 oz Fat Free Cool Whip
1/8 cup Splenda
Mix the ingredients and pour in pie crust. Put in refrigerator to chill.

Dallas - I'm sure you can use regular PB instead of the PB2. I'd say maybe 1/2 cup. I didn't use the crust and I don't like Splenda in dairy products. So, I used 2 T. of regular sugar. Think I could have used less though. I also took some semi-sweet chocolate chips and ground them into a powder. I sprinkled this in the bottom of my dish and on top of the pie. It was yummy to me.

Judy - Thanks for the good luck vibes tomorrow. Glad you survived your run in the cold temps. Good job on the planks too! Two minutes is a long time.

Shelly - Torturing that UB, are we?;) Looks like you're starting out with a killer workout. Guess you've completely recovered from that marathon. Thanks for the good luck vibes too. Hope you can get lots of shoppiing done while you're off.

Posh - I never would have guessed you loved Friday. :p Sounds like you have a fun day ahead of you. Oh, yeah, I can feel the Cheetah power oozing through. I'll need it for tomorrow. Thanks for the encouragement.

Bye! :D

Jackie - Yummy the pie sounds yummy! Good luck tomorrow!!! I am so excited for you! Enjoy your rest day before your big day! Naw.....I dont like Fridays one little bit! ;)

Shelly - I really like the first Squeeze, too. LOL...good job on "evening that DOMS up!" Great job on your workout! Glad the IL's visit is going well!

Posh - Yes, I am trying hard to keep up the running with work and the holidays! I can just imagine what a bear I would be if I couldn't get some running in! I hear ya on the Friday! Woohoo! Are ya really doing to Disney Land??? Enjoy!

:D :D :D Happy Friday, Cheetah Gals!!! :D :D :D

Cathy, thanks for making us all smile this merry morning—that put me in such a good mood. :D Loving the Shelly Dust as well… I need some today too! LOL…

GOOD LUCK, JACKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sending lots of warm Cheetah Power thoughts your way! :D I’m sure you’re going to do awesome. (BTW that pie recipe looks soooooooooo yummy!)

Sorry I don’t have more time for personals today… :( Lots going on today. I am super impressed with everyone’s workouts though—holy cow we’ve got some tough ladies in the den!

Today I’m hoping to get 6.5 miles in… we’ll see how it goes. The tempo run went well yesterday—3.5 miles in 30 min on the treadmill. Then I ran into a friend/colleague at the pool, so I got in too and swam 500 yards at a medium pace. Love to swim after a run... it always loosens things up.

Feeling a little tired today, but I know I won’t have time for a good run tomorrow so I’m toughing it out. :p

Warm wishes to everyone-- Dallas & Karen, still sending prayers up.
Hope everyone has a holly jolly weekend! :D

~Brighton~

Judy: Oh GS thin mints could make ANYONE cheat! LOL Have fun at DS' hockey game!!! The dig pic frame loaded up with pics is a great idea. Prior to that technology, when my mom turned 50, I gave her a small photo album of pics from when she was a baby up to the current day. It was cute and she really liked it.

Wendi: You'll get 'em during the 2nd half of the season girl! That's cool that you get 2 chances to come out a winner so one team doesn't take everything. Glad you bowled well eventhough you lost as a team. Good job with the ME/BC combo. I haven't done that one in ages but I recall it being KILLER!

Carole: I'm with ya on the lack of holiday shopping. I've only bought for DS so far. Sorry you sis is having such a difficult time. I hope her situtation improves.

Christine: LOL'd at your being happy about the headache cause you weren't hungry. :p Have fun with your work out today. Are you doing the 08 leg blast rotation of Fitness Freak's? That one was a goodie.

Linda: You can clean up your eating. I know you can do it. I'll do an eating check in with you if you want to keep you honest and on the straight and narrow! :)

Jackie: Enjoy your rest day! Good luck tmrw! I know you'll do great!!!!

Shelly: You have lower body doms!? OMG, that rarely happens for you! What work out caused it!? I didn't even realize Amy put out KB work outs. Now I'll have to go check 'em out! LOL Well maybe my mom doesn't fry EVERY night but I can almost guarantee every meal is made with some kind of butter or oil somehow!!! This is when she is cooking anyway. Sometimes she'll eat a quick, no cook meal and tends to eat pretty healthy then. Go figure.

Posh: I didn't have to battle the home cookin' after all last night. Ended up staying home and eating healthy. :) Wow you certainly have a laundry list of stores to go to after work. I hate going shopping straight from work. I avoid it if at all possible. I'd rather come home for even a half hour and then go back out. It's just one of those things I guess....:)

Brighton: Hope your 6.5 miler gets done with out a hitch! :)

All caught up....Outta here for now but you'll probably "see" me later on with a glass of wine in hand! ;)

Toodles!

Hiya Cheetahs – I’m back for a moment.

GO JACKIE GO!!!!!! Enjoy your race tomorrow! I can’t wait to hear all about it! I’ll be cheering ya on from Cali! You must have been with your job a long time to accrue that much leave! I don’t blame you for wanting as much pay for retirement as possible! Oh, no fair – that pie recipe looks to die for!! Maybe I’ll make it for Christmas. Something different.

Judy – I’d give you a swift kick in the seat of the pants (not hard, of course), but I’m sure you’ve managed to get out there and run!

Linda – I’m with you on the TGIF! Work sucks right now! Yeah, I know what you mean about losing strength and fitness, but the good thing is that is does come back pretty easily, unless you totally let it go. No, no DOMS for B&G – I think it’s less Iron Cheetah and more that I need to up the weights (or go deeper!). Enjoy the run and Squeeze workouts!

Shelly – enjoy GS BSB! I love that one. I hope to be one of the 80 year olds who is constantly on the go. My aunt and uncle are like that. They go skiing (down hill) with 90 year olds! I think PP Upper Body really did me good. I keep forgetting that that combo is the one of Cathe’s most focused on the back. I really like it.

Posh – enjoy the shopping after work! I’m with ya on lovin’ the Fridays! Funny – we go the opposite. We start with the damp, dreary fog in the morning then end up with clear warm sunshine in the afternoon. It’s been bizarre – the fog has been SOOO thick.

I ended up doing PP UB x3 instead of PUB. For some reason the pyramid sets sounded daunting. :p I really do like the PP UB x 3 workout - it works my back more than any other Cathe workout. Yum! I did finish up with PLB floorwork. Short and sweet but holy cow!! My hamstrings were talking to me. I’m still battling the headache, but it’s better, and I was happy to be able to workout this morning.

Wendy - you snuck in on me! Yep - I'm doing FF Sept 08 Leg Blast rotation. I'm really enjoying it!
