Happpyyyyyyy Fridayyyyy!!!!
How is everyone?
Christine—I’m not going to our staff party tonight, either. So many other social functions are going on this month, I would need a massive sprinkling of Shelly Dust to have the energy for it all! J I’m having a good chuckle that your co-workers were advised to eat beforehand. Sounds like a group that likes to rock out. Hope your head is better today!
Carole—I feel for Karen. It can't be easy...How is your holiday shopping coming along?
Brighton—Those KPC/L&G premixes can put on the hurt somethin’ fierce. Hope you had a good tempo run.
Posh—Man, that is some serious punishment if it hurts to wash your hair!!! *lol* about donning the cape and whippin’ around the office. I hear you, I hear you. Too many huts on fire, not enough hydration! *LOLOLOL* We are interviewing potential candidates for the student travel program. I have the Christmas cards on my agenda for this weekend, too.
Jackie—glad your mom’s heart checkup went smoothly. Yes, the interviews are for the trip to Europe. We interviewed about 30 kids last night with two more nights of interviews coming up. Have a nice pasta dinner planned for tonight? What time do you have to leave in the morning?
Wendy—glad your shin pain was just a fluke. Can’t believe you are *still* dealing with the remnants of that cold. Damage control flew out the window yesterday. Somebody brought Munchkins in to our team meeting, and in the afternoon, I dipped into some Oreos. Oops.
Linda—cheating on Cathe, are you?
I don’t mind the interviews. It does make for a long day (they finish at 9 pm), but I’m excited to be part of the program and hope enrollment is full enough that I do get to travel.
Shelly—that is funny your ILs came all that way just to watch TV? Guess some folks just gotta see their shows, huh. I’m not sure about the total # of applicants at this point—possibly 50. I believe an additional info session is being scheduled after the new year. There are 40 spots in our delegation.
Gloria—I definitely will. Oy vey! Sooo much going on there. *lol* Things are going well with the travel program. I need to attend all the meetings & everything, even though there is a good chance I could be “cut” if enrollment is not high enough. As mentioned before, I am so jealous of your snow! It would be so great to have a white Christmas. Not so great to have recess duty in 19-degree temperatures, though. *lol* Holy moly! Are you running around with the kids to stay warm?! Oh, congrats to the BFs on their marriage. Have fun celebrating the happy occasion!
Dallas—That’s great that your MT found all the trouble spots. Yeah, whatta pair we are. I’m kind of bummed. I did not want to cut back on running after recovering from Chicago, but guess there’s not much choice. This sucker really hurts when it flares!…Ha—the early news is usually NOT funny, but the anchors were crackin’ some jokes that morning, picking on the traffic reporter’s shirt, etc. Guess I’ve also been watching with a different eye since this year I am one of the co-teachers for the TV Tech class (which broadcasts a daily news show). We try to get the kids to ad-lib and deliver the news naturally instead of reading off the prompter. Some of them are so painfully shy, I have to wonder why in the world they signed up for this!...Sure thing---*serenity now* vibes comin’ atcha!! That is definitely one of my all-time favorite shows.
Today’s workout will be a cardio session TBD + abs.
Hugs to all this Friday!
