Curious about other people's experience/preference regarding shoes for strength training

" "Hunt and Hide-away" - I love that! Perfect description! lol

Curious about other people's experience/preference regarding shoes for strength training

I struggled with P.F. for quite some time, but I found some stretches that helped - I continue to do them for prevention. I also found that wearing Crocs (they have the arch support I need, because I have high arches) in the house for a couple of months helped. I hope yours gets better, because...

Curious about other people's experience/preference regarding shoes for strength training

I don't care for carpet either. The entire home is wood floor and tile, EXCEPT my workout room. lol It's an addition to a brick home, so since it was added later and has no basement under that room... it has a poured concrete floor that the previous owners carpeted. Carpet is probably the best...

Curious about other people's experience/preference regarding shoes for strength training

I run around barefoot too, and ask that people take their shoes off when entering. It really cuts down on cleaning.

I'm think it can, but I'm pretty bad at tech stuff. I have a friend that can help me, if I can't figure it out.

Curious about other people's experience/preference regarding shoes for strength training

Wow! Thanks for the link to the pole - I had no idea so many people work out barefoot. I'd thought it was just me. lol I have circulation issues, and while my body gets warmed up... my feet don't, so I wasn't actually barefoot (had to wear socks). Socks just weren't giving me the "grip" I needed...

Curious about other people's experience/preference regarding shoes for strength training

I'm curious as to what kind of footwear (if any) everybody wears for strength training. I've always worn cross trainers for cardio (step, kickboxing, etc.), but tended to just wear socks for strength training. Since I moved, I now have a workout room, but it has carpet and my socks don't "grip"...

    Unsubscribed from e-newsletter

I receive a LOT of e-mails from her. They aren't very informative though - just the same ads over and over. I wish there was a way to specify what type of e-mail (ex. educational or NEW product/series announcements ONE time, and updates. I'd like to unsubscribe from the redundant stuff - fills...

Tomorrow, we will start to share details about the 2nd Free download from LMR2 Elevated.

That's what I'm hoping for. Hoping she sneaks abs in with all of them. She's really good about having us use are abs to stabilize, but I'm hoping for specific ab focus in addition to that. I seem to need more of that at this age than I used to. lol I'm so grateful for all of the ab bonuses she's...

LMR2 Elevated 2nd Bonus Free Workout Lower Body Strength

Knowing Cathe... our glutes (and everything else) will probably still be feeling the "activation" 2 days later. lol

Ooooooh! So excited - e-mail said it was a lower body workout. Does this mean there will be an upper body one too? The anticipation... loving it!

Exercises that people over 50 shout NOT do?

Kellyro, I've found doctors to be very unknowledgeable about the specifics of nutrition and exercise. I have utilized for doctors for health concerns (after the fact), but for prevention... I've had no luck. My dad ran into the same problem, and frustrated, he asked... "how much of your...

Exercises that people over 50 shout NOT do?

Nickisteen, I agree. I'm so glad we've had Cathe encouraging us to listen to our bodies (clear back when others were still preaching "no pain, no gain"). I have enough shoulder, neck, and upper back issues (not caused by working out) that I already substitute dumbbells for barbell work with...

    LMR2 Download#1

Lannette, thank you for your encouragement. I have been doing some more challenging splits as well as some of the easier total body workouts (I got a lot of ideas from people on Cathe's site). My recovery time is a lot longer than it used to be. lol So, I've been grateful for LMR, because I have...

Lift, Move & Restore 2: Elevated! Equipment List

I was wondering that too. I'm thinking, though, that it's likely going to be the same equipment, just based on the workout titles (barre, balance, etc.). I sure would like an excuse to buy a kettlebell though, so if she happened to add that to a core or strength workout... I'd be a happy camper. lol

    A Fresh Start

Ashaw... my heart goes out to you. I've been there. I had actually completely blocked off my emotions during my marriage in order to protect myself. I had to have family, the police, and a restraining order (which I have had to extend to a 2nd year) help get me out and prevent further physical...

Exercises that people over 50 shout NOT do?

Debinmi, yes, those are some of the others that I'd heard about, and I was familiar with most of the changes (ex. 30 degree angle lift for lateral raises), but I kind of forgot that they used to be done another way, because is so good at form pointers and keeping us educated that I just...

RECALL ALERT: BowFlex Adjustable Dumbbells Due to Impact Hazard

My family helped me move a couple of years ago, and they can relate. lol Some workout equipment is heavy! lol I felt really bad that life got hectic and I didn't even have the time to use that equipment for a couple of years. Now, though, I'm back on my fitness journey, so my family didn't help...

Exercises that people over 50 shout NOT do?

I usually disregard "new" fitness opinions. I consider most things a fad/opinion until I see 3 research studies that support the claim - only then, do I take it seriously enough to consider it fact and consider making changes. I have been hearing a LOT, though, about exercises that one shouldn't...

    LMR2 Download#1

I downloaded and was able to preview it. I still have to figure out how to get it in a usable format for me (really old TV, no tech skills, and I don't do workouts on laptops or any other small screen), but I'm looking forward to doing this one. I haven't actually been doing metabolic strength...
