    PHA Training 2?

I like the concept, but the I find the repetition in the existing workout boring. It just seemed to drag on forever for me. Maybe another one with the same training technique but in a different format would suit me just fine! (I'm in regardless.)

    ICE 2...Who's In?

Ohboyohboyohboyohboy! I'd like one or two upper body heavy lifting workouts that are more traditional, like in the more advanced workouts, that are at a slower tempo and suitable for lighter weights up to whatever. My preference would be for two. The MMs are fantastic, so a couple of videos...

Your welcome, Jane, I’m glad that was helpful! I’m just starting to really take advantage of these boards, and it makes me happy. There is so much positive support here, and to my surprise, there are so many badass women our age. Very cool!—Stephanie

What brand sliders is Cathe using in her Fit Split Series?

It looks like a folded microfiber cloth that you can get in any automotive department or cleaning aisle. The ones in automotive are generally bigger. I bet one of those cloth chamois (?) (not the rubbery ones, but the ones that feel like felt) would work really well too. I have to use the...

The 1200-1400 calories are working fine. I work out in the evening after work, and that’s an appetite killer for me. I found myself naturally avoiding bread and pasta because they were not enough bang for the buck, so to speak, nutritionally. I’m eating a ton more vegetables than I used to...

    Modifications

Me too. I substitute rear lunges for scissors, squats and sumo squats for various plyometric exercises, etc. works for me!

Question about ease of access for workouts

How do you sync the iPhone app with Google Chromecast? And can you not stream Cathe Live that way as well? I don't want to buy two devices. I have a Sony DVD player that I can get the usual suspects (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc), so I'm looking for the cheapest way to stream both On Demand...

    Sony

Are there any plans to make On Demand available on Sony products. I just bought a DVD player that does streaming, but Cathe isn’t an option.☹️

Update on my 2013 not-so-successful success story--New Success!

UPDATE: My earlier post was years ago. I didn't stick with it, and by last September, I was up to 194 lbs. (I'm 5'3"). A health assessment at work and a picture of me in the newspaper were the last straws. I do not want to end up with lifestyle related diseases and be decrepit in my older...

    Shred Cardio question—DVD issue

I’m previewing the S&S series prior to starting a rotation, and on my disk, on the premix showing the modifications, each time a chapter changes, the screen freezes for a few seconds, and when it comes back, about the same number of seconds of video have been skipped. It is pretty annoying. Is...

    Modifications

In line with all the posters who would like a new series of beginner/intermediate/low impact workouts, I'd like to add that I really appreciate in the newer advanced workouts when Cathe or a cast mate demonstrates a low impact modification of a high impact move. This works especially well in...

It's time for beginners and intermediate workouts.

I'm 52, and I'd love another ICE level series. And going forward, as in some of the newer advance workouts, simply showing a low impact modification makes all the difference in the world. I can usually come up with a modification (or do some other move altogether), but when Cathe suggests it...

Weightloss stalled after just a few weeks

Thanks, Justine, and all. I appreciate your kindness and your taking the time to respond. I did Athletic Training for the first time just now--cripes! It only took me about an hour and a half...

Weightloss stalled after just a few weeks

I have an electronic scale that purports to measure body fat percentage. Don't know how accurate it is, but the reading fluctuates. No encouragement there... I measure again on the 20th, but I'm not expecting encouragement there, either. Steph

Weightloss stalled after just a few weeks

Justine, I'll take your experience to heart. The scale has gone up every day this week! Very alarming. I'm considering weighing only once or wince a week, but now I'm afraid I'll go a week and be up 5! It's not just water weight. Th fullness in my face and around my middle are back...

Weightloss stalled after just a few weeks

I'll work on the sugar and salt. My diet is generally healthy. Like I said, I'm using the software and watching the "report card" pretty closely. I do tend to eat a good portion of my calories after 7 p.m. because I work out after work, which is really all that works for me, so I'm working...

Weightloss stalled after just a few weeks

Hi, Cathe and everyone else. I am 47 and started working out again almost two months ago. I am now 4.5 weeks into XTrain/LIS rotation. I'm using the nutrition software and sticking pretty closely to the middle of the recommended calorie range, consistently. The first month I lost 7 pounds...
