For Cathe: Question about age and STS

I would like to hear Cathe's reply to Tinkerbelle also. We're all at different starting points due to our current fitness level, age, amount of time available to devote to workouts each day, goals, genes, etc. I really like STS, but can't guite figure out the best way to make Meso 1 work for...

    I CANNOT find this

Pasting the workout card into Excel is perfect. It's more space efficient and easier to read. Thanks for the tip. Linda M.

    My STS Preview Review!!!!

Thanks Heather. As more detailed posts are coming in STS is sounding better and better. Gym Styles have no fun factor for me either, so your review sounds great. Linda M.

Thanks April! April, thanks so much. Pictures were great! I really appreciate it; that's exactly what I needed to know. Linda M.

    Slanted risers!!! :)

Glad you got your risers in time. They look like they're sturdier and the incline looks steeper than when using regular risers. Another poster said you can stack the slanted risers together in such a way they equal 3 risers, but a while back another poster said they equal something like 2.5...

    Magic Bullet/Magic Bullet Delux?

I received a regular Magic Bullet as a gift several years ago and really like it for making single serving smoothies. I cut frozen bananas into large chunks add some other frozen fruit (usually blueberries and strawberries), ice, and cherry Juicy Juice. The base/motor part does not take up...

"Fitnessfreak's January Rotation for Dec. 31"

Did today's workout and had fun switching the DVD's around. Thanks for the rotation Debbie. For Pyramids went with 8, 10, 12 for back and 5, 8, 10 for bi's. Keeping things lighter because I've not been working out much for about six weeks now. Back to yesterday's DOMS question. I assume...

Best place to buy barbell set?

Regarding SNM's recommendation - I bought a very similar WalMart set for about $35 in the store. I've had it for almost one year and am very pleased with it. Mine came with 10 and 5 pound plates so I also bought four 2.5 pound weight plates. They added versatility and helped when doing...

    Dec. 08 CHECK In ~~ Mon. 1st ~~

Haven't posted in a while and my workouts have been lagging also. This is my week to get motivated again. I'm doing Fitnessfreak366's Intermediate Fat Burning Rotation. It's an easier one with two rest days. Ivy - Hi, I recently got Amy's ASC III. It looks like so much fun. Tried it...

Marking A Workout Completed - Problem with Shifted Icon

My rotatation is arranged to begin on Saturday. The week 2 calendar icon for the first day only, which for me is 11/8, is shifted to the left and hides the box you check to indicate you've completed the workout. The little icon won't move and checking the icon doesn't work either. The icon...

OK going to make the commitment help please

Everyone's given you good suggestions and congratulations for making the committment to exercise. If weight loss is one of your goals, I'd like to add that you might want to consider using Cathe's nutrition software (or there are several free ones you could try). Using a food log similar to...

    Daily Check-In Tuesday, 8/12

No workout yesterday. On workdays I have to work out first thing in the morning or it just will not get done. Today was GS chest and triceps. Was able to do 12 straight leg push-ups. That's a personal best for me, up from 10.:D GS is a tough series. If I do it all the way through and...

    August Check In ***Sunday 10th***

I'm sore from doing Gym Style legs on Friday, but thought it would be better to work through the DOMS so yesterday was Step Blast, and today was a long walk. I still plan on completing a Stretch Max segment and Gym Styles Back pre-mix. Whew, that's a lot of time spent on working out today, and...

    Anyone else worried about STS...

I'm in the worried group and agree with Jonahnah's post. SNM's says: "The only way to reduce the time of an STS workout would be to either reduce the rest breaks between exercises or the number of exercises. Both of these options in our opinion would hurt the effectiveness of the program."...

    Another CC question...

Anyone else have suggestions? I also walk/jog on flat terrain (Florida). CC gets so many good comments, but I'm not sure how well they work outdoors.

Cardio & Weights - GREAT workout

C&W is so much fun. Hadn't done it in a while, but it was in the July 08 rotation. I forgot how great it was. Made a note to remember the the step only pre-mix. Linda

    August '08 Checkin***Saturday Aug. 2nd

My plan was to take a 1.5 hour walk then come home and do Pyramid Upper. Forced myself out the door because it's hot as heck and humid. Had to drive a ways and it looked like it was going to rain, but the cloud cover and breeze felt so cool, and it took so much effort to get out the door I...

    July 08 Checkin *****Sunday 27****

Kathy & Lisa - All Out Infused Step is a keeper. The choreography was not hard but changed often enough and was fast enough to make it fun. It's a shorter workout, the step part is about 43 minutes. My heart rate monitor rates were similar to Step Blast, which I also did for 45 minutes last...

    July 08 Checkin *****Sunday 27****

Today's workout was a new one for me - All Out Infused Step with Gay Gasper. Step is my favorite, and this one was a lot of fun. Heart rate was up but not off the charts. Lisa, thanks for staying in touch regarding the road trip. It's fun to hear about all the details and to see the pictures.
