    Chocolate Milk while avoiding sugar

Hi All! I have a question for those that have figured this out way before me... I want to start incorporating chocolate milk for my recovery drink after heavy weight lifting. But I don't like to consume the extra sugar. So do you all just avoid it all together and stick to protein shakes...

What do you pay per month for your cell phone?

I pay $85 for a smartphone w/internet, email capabilities. I really haven't used this capability and want to pay less per month for my cell phone. What do people pay per month for their cell phones? Which cell phone do you have? Do you like it? Becky

How much would you pay for a used...

Octane Q37 elliptical machine that is two years old and used approximately 20 times? I have been in the market for an elliptical (running just grinds on my knees too badly) for about a year. And narrowed my decisions down to Octane and one other manufacturer. Today is the first day I tried my...

    Toning/Light Weights while vacationing

Hi all! I am heading to northern wisconsin for a week with the family. I want to take something along with me in terms of workouts. I will be walking the dog twice daily, going about 2-3 miles, so I'm more intersted in total body toning/weight workouts as I'll have enough cardio while...

    Yoga for those who run

Anyone have a good DVD recommendation for those people that like to run? I just finished my first 10K and I had some really bad hip flexor pain and knee pain. I have well fitting shoes (went to specialty store), so I'm thinking it's my gait, and very bad core strength, or lackthereof :-)...

    Wrist pain w/Yoga Based Abs

Hi Cathe...I am soooo thrilled with the new abs circuit CD. I have some low back issues, that make some of your past ab workouts painful for me. I love the Yoga based abs, but I am finding that I can't finish some of the planks due to some really sore wrists. Do you (or anyone) have...

    Weight Loss Accountability

OK...I am training for a half marathon in May. I would like to lose about 10# by then. I am 5 feet tall and 117#. I was in the 105-109 range last summer eating clean, and running about 15-20 miles per week. I live in the midwest, and running on the treadmill just doesn't give me the same...

Are you SURE STS is for various fitness levels?

I was a bit discouraged today as I started doing my 1RM testing. I started entering my results and according to the average person, I am a WEAKLING...seriously. Should I not even attempt the STS stuff and just focus on the Gym Style series I have? Ugh!! Becky

How would you start w/BodyMax 2?

O.K...I'll admit to the fact that I've had this DVD since it was first released and only used the double upper body premix on it :o shhhh, please don't tell ;-) Anyway, I stuck it in this a.m. thinking, "I am going to do the whole workout, in it's original form. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I...

    Increase intensity=increase in weight?

Can this be the case? For the last 2 weeks or so I've increased my intensity working out. For example, instead of doing Low Max on 1 riser, I am doing it with 2. Instead of running for 20 minutes on the treadmill I am now doing 45 minutes to an itread workout. I am lifting more weight also...

I HATE this!! I do so well for a couple of weeks, and then BAM..I'm diving into pizza and granola bars! Has anyone else found it to be very hard to do? Is there something "magical" that happens after that 2 week mark? HELP, I'll take any and all suggestions! Thanks, Becky

What do you all do after a day of not eating well?

I have been focusing on eating "clean", and have done very well for the last week and a half or so (maybe even 2 weeks). Today has been awful for me! I had a grilled cheese sand for lunch, a sub sandwich for dinner and a couple of malted milk balls. I guess this is considered a "binge" day...

Please explain "Cross Training" to me....

I absolutely LOVE step aerobics, and LOVE Cathe. I try to rotate through some of her DVD's that I own, so I'm not always doing cardio or always lifting. I do tend to do more cardio though. Since it's been snowing here where I live, I have gotten out to cross country ski, and I have dabbled...

Are all of us who are dedicated to fitness OCD?

I'm asking this because for the past 3.5yrs I have been very dedicated to eating well and working out. I work out 5-6 times a week, sometimes a bit less for approx 1hour per day. I have lost approx 35# (I am 5'1"). I had a co-worker come up and say to me, "Look at your legs, one of your...

Why are my resistance bands so much shorter...

than the ones Cathe uses in LIC and B&G? Is it just a "brand" thing? If so, which ones specifically does Cathe use? For example, my bands aren't long enough to add to the barbell for bicep work. Maybe that's not such a bad thing :D Thanks to anyone that can help. Becky

So with all this Butts and Guts talk.....I just need to know....

Where do you fit it into your workout schedule? Is it an "add-on" after a cardio workout, or is it just a stand-alone work out? What should I be doing? Becky

    Fatigue

I consider myself an intermediate to an advanced person when it comes to working out. I've done the FIRM for 2 years and Cathe for almost 8 months now. Here's my problem: I seem to suffer from bouts of huge fatigue. Weeks can go by where I look forward AND love Cathe's workouts and push...

FIRM to Cathe...any success stories out there?

I would post this on the success board, but it doesn't look as though it gets a lot of traffic. I am new to Cathe, and consider myself an intermediate exerciser. I have been Firming for over 2 yrs though. Just wondering what more Cathe has given you in terms of results and endurance...
