    David Kirsch Anyone?

So was it worth it? How did you maintain it after the 2 week gruel? arghhhhh - it's so easy conceptually to eat clean and work our butts off, but then reality gets in the way! But really interested in learning if the results lasted and how you maintained those results. Thanks!!

    David Kirsch Anyone?

Anyone had any experience with the David Kirsch wellness program diet? It's like a 2 week "eat protein and nothing processe"d kind of diet. He demands 45 min cardio daily plus weights 4 -5 times/week. He's been on GMA and also in a couple magazines this month about his amazing results. His...

    Elbow pain

Just my 2cents here...I had a similar elbow pain related to lifting. I was able to rehab it with NSAIDs, steroids and physical therapy. However, I learned how important it is (as Cathe reminds us in all her DVDs) to take the time to stretch the forearms while working out when you do exercises...

    need advice re: ACL injury

i am thrilled to know that you have been able to return to all cathes workouts; bc you are right in that they are intense. my worry was that i would not be able to return to that....and i would be stuck with the all-too-cheery Denise Austin that my mom workouts to!

    cathe - your ortho surgeon

Hi Cathe, When you had your knee/leg injury a couple yrs ago, what doctor did you go to for surgery? I blew out my ACL amongst other things in my knee and need a doc that can fix me so that I can return to STS! I don't live far from where you're located and would appreciate any...

Disc 26 has a big scratch on it!!

If you contact Cathe customer support, I'm sure they'll replace it for you. I was sent 2 of the same discs (disc 7) and so I was missing disc 8. I emailed Cathe support. They contacted me within 24hrs and sent out a replacement disc and mailer to return the duplicate disc. The customer...

    My "5s" are lonely!

Too funny! You'll have to dust them off time to time. I was just commenting to my husband how quickly we've had strength gains doing STS. It's all those PUSH-UPS!!!!

Update on Pull up Tower, please???

Hey guys I just looked at that squat tower on amazon too - for $157. Just wanted to add that the product description notes you need a wide bar for this (needs 45 inches between plates). Just as an FYI bc it sounds like you'll need an olympic bar/plates, not the Troy bar. Has anyone checked...

    Buying a barbell...

Here is the link for the Troy bar that Cathe uses in her videos. I would get an extra set of 10lb plates also. Its a nice light bar to use. http://www.fitness1st.com/Troy-Bars.html Someone posted a similar question and the CATHE admin. responded with the following link to Walmart...

    So bummed

Have you considered using your week of surgery as your rest week, instead of the week between Meso 1 & 2? You could then start up again after you get the OK from your surgeon, using very light weights. Good luck with your surgery...it never seems to come at a good time. Hang in.

    Hurt my hamstring, need advice.

That stinks! Can you find a sports med Doc to look at it? Don't train through it if it's injured...get it checked early on. Good luck to you.

    stability ball push ups

OMG can anyone besides Cathe and Crew actually do these? I've been doing Cathe DVD's for 3 yrs...but I cannot stay on that ball to save my life!

Am I not doing something right????

I thought my weight selections were too light also...but when I increased them I wasn't able to do 15 reps with strict form. Cathe does suggest in one of the STS DVDs that you can were weighted gloves if you just need to add a pound or two. That may be more challenging for you, but still allow...

    Cathe: question about oatmeal

Hi Cathe, Hoping you can clarify this for me. Oatmeat is a staple food in every clean eating plan, but it's always specified as long cooking, not instant. Is it really that detrimental to my diet to substitute instant oatmeal? I travel alot and so I often bring instant oatmeal w/me, so...
