    Step Blast vs. Rhythmic Step

I like Step Blast a lot, and find the choreography complex in a fun way but it wasn't too difficult to learn. I've had RS for years and still haven't managed to do it - for me, the choreography is the hardest of all workouts I have.

Stability ball - harder than it looks?

You could try putting the ball against a wall for a bit of support. Then when you can do those one-legged ball exercises like that, move the ball away from the wall.

DH mad at me about baby question

Hi Bobbi, I agree its okay to ask if someone has kids. Asking a chidless couple IF they are going to have kids is a different story though.

DH mad at me about baby question

Somebody once told me that they asked the baby question to a couple, and it turned out that they had had numerous miscarriages. He said that he would never ask that question again! The problem with asking someone you hardly know a personal question (not just the baby question) is that you...

DH mad at me about baby question

I think you have every right to be annoyed when people ask THAT question, and I can understand why you are upset. The woman was rude and you are entitled to your feelings. I disagree strongly with the poster who said that it is a natural question. It is a very personal and complicated question...

    A few questions

Hi Faith, While you are waiting for Cathe to reply, I thought I would give my opinion. :-) I think you would do well with high repetition weights workouts, such as Power Hour (lots of fun!) or Muscle Endurance. Check out the descriptions of the DVDs. Also, circuit training (combination of...

    Body weight workout?

I keep hearing about the effectiveness of body weight exercises and wondered if Cathe would be interested in producing a workout like this. It could involve the stability ball. I'm thinking of exercises like decline push ups with various hand positions, that upside down shoulder press (what is...

    PUB/PLB bonus combo question

This is a total body workout using pyrmaid up (ie 3 sets of 12, 10, 8). It includes all upper body and all standing lower body exercises. I don't think it includes the ab work. I think it is about 1 hour.

Do you take a shower and shampoo your hair after every workouts?

RE: Do you take a shower and shampoo your hair after ev... I try not to wash my hair more than every 3 days because it is highlighted and gets very dry at the ends. Blow drying too often makes it especially dry. However, it also tends to get oily at the scalp, especially with workouts. So, when...

    Suggestions for next workouts

Muscle Max is a good, fairly heavy, total body weights workout, so you may want to read the description and view the video clip. Its like an updated version of Maximum Intensity Strength. Power Hour is fun. Its very high rep (endurance). The upper and lower body pyramid DVD has a total...

    S&H shoulder work

I've wondered this too. Also, it seems like the presses should go before the isolation moves. I think I asked Cathe about that ages ago but didn't get an answer.

    IBS, protein, and weights workouts

Hi Candi, I have milk intolerance too. It seems to be meat, especially red meat. I also can't tolerate protein bars/drinks (even the non-milk ones) at any time of day. I seem to better with fish, and I'm not yet sure about eggs (don't usually have those in the evening). I've tried taking a...

    IBS, protein, and weights workouts

I am recovering from a particularly bad bout of IBS and fatigue. I have had IBS for many years, but after some recent reading, I decided to try some new advice: avoiding concentrated protein (ie, meat, fish, eggs) in the evenings. I am finding this VERY helpful - the abdominal pain and...

    S&H shoulders with bands?

Just wondered if anyone has tried Slow & Heavy shoulders with the green band (or other band/tubing)? For some reason I don't get much of a burn from the isolation shoulder work in S&H, so thought I might try it with the band. :-)

    switching rotations

A rotation doesn't have to start on Monday. I would take a day off (or more if you want a couple of recovery days) then start the new rotation when you are ready. Just think of Monday as Day 1, Tuesday as Day 2, etc. :-)
